With the release of the budget, the messiah has earned a new title, “SPENDULUS MAXIMUS.” The sheeple were promised “change,” and what they have received is an orgy of liberal styled spending and tax increases. I think what I might do is just highlight a few of the spending and tax items, and give them the Conservative Hideout treatment.
For your convenience, the Conservative Hideout has constructed what we refer to as the “CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE” translation matrix. With assistance from he greatest minds in abnormal psychology, linguistics, a fine cigar, and a large Dunkin Donuts coffee, we have created this device to assist us in interpreting the plans and statements of the messiah and his minions.
It is advised that you take some sort of anti nausea medication, because the waste and destruction here is sickening. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
First, perhaps we can address the takeover of the health care industry. Here’s the source.
This budget forecasts more than $1.5 trillion in new health care spending, including a 10-year, $634 billion health care “reserve fund.” The budget also calls for seven percent annual growth in Medicare and more than six percent annual growth in Medicaid over the next 10 years
Now friends, these looks innocent enough, do they not? These are “nice” programs that will only make sure that granny doesn’t die of diabetes, or little Johnny die of tuberculosis, right??? But remember that the true liberal mantra is “CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE.”
We must always remember that what the messiah and his minions cannot accomplish outright, they will accomplish incrementally. For more, look at this.
In testimony yesterday before the Senate Committee on Finance, Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf presented options for controlling health care costs. He warned that “reducing or slowing spending over the long term would probably require decreasing the pace of adopting new treatments and procedures and limiting the breadth of their application.” That’s rationing by another name, not a comfortable concept to Americans.
The “CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE” translation: Hmm. Rationing…in other words, making you wait for that MRI you need, or just making it disappear altogether. I guess the messiah and his minions will have access to all the new and best procedures and medications, I imagine the rest of us will just have to make do with whatever scraps the messiah grants us.
And a bit more.
Mr. Elmendorf pointed to the current employer-based health insurance system, where health insurance premiums are untaxed income to workers, as one of the main causes of price increases. He suggested replacing the tax exclusion or restructuring it, so that patients have more incentives to control costs. In that way the purchase of health insurance would be similar to the purchase of home insurance or auto insurance, services that consumers appear able to purchase without major problems.
The CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE translation: Tax you medical coverage! What happened to no taxes for people earning less than $250,000? Note the quote “…so that patients have more incentives to control costs. “ This means NOT seeking treatment when you are sick. Is it not it the libs that complain that people don’t get treatment because they can’t afford it? It would seem that they want to institutionalize this. Note the comparisons to other types of insurance. They want YOU to pay more as well!!!
President Obama has said he will consider all proposals. During his campaign, the centerpiece of his health reform effort was to set up a new health insurance plan, similar to the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. It would be open to all, with “affordable” premiums and co-payments.
In addition, he proposed a new National Health Insurance Exchange to set standards and regulate private insurance underwriters. Those who could not meet the standards would close.
The CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE translation: Make it impossible for private insurances and employers to afford medical care, forcing more and more citizens into the messiah’s plan, with the eventual goal of having everyone under the tender care of the messiah and his minions. Of course, this would be done incrementally.
In a third provision, some employers who offer health insurance now would have to pay higher premiums in order to raise benefits to the level of the new public plan. Those employers who don’t offer health insurance would be required to pay into the new plan, a new tax.
The CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE translation: Again, incrementally make it impossible for employers to afford health care. Also, put small businesses out of business by raising their taxes. Remember that the majority of Americans work for small companies. When combined with all the new taxes that the messiah plans for business, plus a struggling economy, there will be more “going out of business” sales and less new hires for small businesses, as well as higher prices for consumers.
Just remember that whatever the government touches turns into a steaming pile of fecal matter almost instantaneously. Any health care plan run by the government will be a bloated, fraud infested, wasteful mess. Notice they don’t talk about the BILLIONS lost by medicare and medicaid each year via fraud? Using their own claims, you can see that the libs want and plan to have you pay more for less service. This is coming to a doctors office near you, and soon, if the sheeple don’t wake up.
Well, that’s all for SPENDULUS MAXIMUS, until our next installment. I think we might deal with all the tax increases that we’ll be paying next.
“Wait, Evil Matt, the messiah promised no tax increases for most of us!”
Ah, my friends, they’ll just “CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE.”

I agree- it’s atrocious how people think we can spend ourselves out of the recession. I’ve written a lot about how America needs to return to her Christian roots in my book A Time To Vote and on my blog at ATimeToVote.com– I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on some of my topics if you have the time. Great blog, keep up the good work!
Thanks for commenting, as well as the compliment. I glanced at you site, it looks good. I’ll take a more thorough look later tonight.
