The Conservative Hideout is saddened to learn of the passing of the Tenth Amendment of the US Constitution.  In failing health for the past few decades, the Amendment finally succumbed to the policies of the messiah SPENDULUS MAXIMUS.  Simple and to the point, the Amendment read as follows:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

To be “fair,” the Conservative Hideout solicited comments from a variety of sources.

The messiah SPENDULUS MAXIMUS: Today (teleprompter delay), is a proud day for Amerika!  For too long now, the Amerikan people have been oppressed by freedom.  They chose to embrace change.  (teleprompter processing…) With this passing of a great enemy of change, we will move forward with our efforts to relieve the sheeple of  the burden of freedom.  (teleprompter malfunction…)  Ha!  It’s not like we haven’t ignored the damn thing for decades anyway!  I’m glad it’s freakin dead.  If we’re going to have a socialist state, we can’t have limits on the government.  By the time the sheeple find out, it’ll be too late. Damn, I could use a  cigarette and a beer!  Victory party in the residence tonight!

Moveon.org: (Could not be reached for comment.  They’re dancing in the streets. )

MSNBC:

Henry Waxpaper: Good, Gooood.  Now if only we can get rid of that First Amendment too!!

Hillary Clintonoid: BRAINS…  BRAINS!!!

George Soros: I thank you for this great victory, our lord satan!  PREPARE THE SACRIFICE!!

Al Borg: RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

Random College lefty: That isn’t the part that says “From each according their means, and to each according to their needs,” is it??

Sheeple: ZZZZZZZZZ

Cause of death?  Neglect!

Matt

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Thanks! That’s the second positive comment I’ve gotten on the layout. I need to learn PHP to make some changes, but so far, so good.

On the centralization, agreed. Their goal is a fascist economy. Private ownership with complete government over site and control.
