Conservative Hideout 2.0

After taking a look at the fiscal situation in California, I found that they spend about $10,000,000,000 a year on educating, incarcerating, and providing health care for illegal immigrants.  That is approximately half of their budget shortfall.  Do they address that in their frantic planning to stop the bleeding?  NO WAY!  Or, should I say NO WAY JOSE?!?!

That got me thinking.  If they are unwilling to take the obvious course, what might they do instead?  Let’s take a look into the liberal Zone and see.

That, and my demented imagination.

About Matt

I believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Nice job. I’ve refrained from writing about this subject because I think the zaniest has yet to come…in which case I’ll do true reporting, and let the facts be “teh funny,” as the Brits say.

That said, I really don’t think you are that far off from the truth. In fact, you may just see your ideas stolen by the Gubernator himself in a month’s time. He is desperate, after all.

One more thing…the accent is close, but it’s a wee bit British…I’d try for a more “cauli-for-nia” approach next time, and you’ll be dead on.

Thanks for the compliment. I’m mixing genres at this point, so you never know what I’m going to do next. Hell, sometimes I don’t. When I saw that 10 billion dollar figure, I just went with it. There is more to come. That’s also why I’m not commenting on the Palin resignation. There is more to it, unless it came out today while I’ve been away from then news.

The accent was hard. I actually had to record the narration in chunks. There was one point towards the end when the accent started sounding Scottish! At any rate, thanks for the feedback.

You’re doing just fine, my friend. Now…if you drank…it’d be even better.

BTW….give The Big Feed a hit for Captain Thurston, willya?

Not a problem, I like the Big Feed. Try to get them to linky to me, if you might.

BTW, try taking a look at the Draking Point. His comic is in my sidebar.

Hmmm, coulda sworn that I left a comment here earlier, Matt, but guess I must be mistaken…

Thanks for your comments over at my site and very glad that I found yours. I’m completely stealing your stats about CA but will link back when I do so.

As for the accent, it’s pretty close to the Gubernator, nice one! (Although it does also sound slightly like a bastardized British accent, as Dr. Dave mentions, and I’m from the UK…)

I dunno about another comment Track-A-’Crat, but you are welcome here anytime.

All through HS and college, I did impressions. I got out of practice for about a decade. Now, I’m trying to get back into it again, and results are not quite to my expectations. I’m now trying to create some characters of my own. That way, if I butcher it, no one else will know!

BTW I like your place. I’ll make it one of my regular stops. Feel free to steal my stats. I stole them myself, so there is no honor among thieves! :P
