"Populations That We Don't Want To Have Too Many Of…"

Every once and a while the  Legion of Doom let’s one slip by.  They are usually so very careful not to let Liberals be portrayed in a negative light.  However, they screwed up, and it was a big one.  World Net Daily broke this yesterday morning.  Apparently, the New York  Slimes was doing an interview on Ruth Bader Ginsberg of the SCOTUS, and she let loose with a little liberal truth that made it’s way into the paper.

The 16-year veteran of the high court was asked if she were a lawyer again, what would she “want to accomplish as a future feminist legal agenda.”

Ginsburg responded:

Reproductive choice has to be straightened out. There will never be a woman of means without choice anymore. That just seems to me so obvious. The states that had changed their abortion laws before Roe [to make abortion legal] are not going to change back. So we have a policy that affects only poor women, and it can never be otherwise, and I don’t know why this hasn’t been said more often.

Question: Are you talking about the distances women have to travel because in parts of the country, abortion is essentially unavailable, because there are so few doctors and clinics that do the procedure? And also, the lack of Medicaid for abortions for poor women?

Ginsburg: Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae – in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn’t really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong. (Emphasis added)

“…populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” Who might these populations be?  I thought I might turn to history and take a look at the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger.  Let’s see what she had to say about populations that we don’t want to have too many of.

“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

Well, that’s pretty interesting.   Planned Parenthood, when they’re not covering for statutory rapists, had a founder that was bent on exterminating entire races!

Now, you might say that this was a long time ago and Sanger is long dead.  Planned Parenthood can’t be like that now, can they?

Oh, I guess they can!

Next, let’s take a look at abortions in the US.  Here is an interesting fact from Wikipedia.  Don’t worry, I cross referenced!

Percentage of US population that is African American:

13.4% of the US population, or 40.9 million persons.

Mmkay, let’s look at the percentage of abortions performed on African American women:

This 13.4% has 35.5% of all abortions.

So then, who exactly belongs to the “…populations that we don’t want to have too many of???”
