Confusing title, isn’t it?  I must admit it was intentional.  You see, ACORN has been accused of voter registration irregularities in quite a few states.  Arrests have been made, and some of the arrested workers have stated that they have to meet a quota of new registration per day, or be fired.  This type of procedure is quite illegal.  ACORN, of course, has denied these claims all over the country.  Please note that they videos are not related to the most current story, however, they represent an nationwide pattern.

In Pittsburgh, there are several of these workers set to go to trial for turning in false voter registrations.  As in other cases, these workers are maintaining that they were given an illegal quota.  ACORN is again denying these claims.

Here is where the story becomes another example of leftist tomfoolery:  The ACLU, on behalf of ACORN, is suing the PA State Attorney General, and the District Attorney of Allegheny County.  Their claim is that the PA law that prohibits quotas for voter registration drives is unconstitutional!  So, ACORN allegedly tells their wokers to sign up 20 new voters a day, or get fired.  This becomes public and ACORN steadfastly denies that they engage in the preactice, in spite of claims by the workers and the “voters”  themselves.  Then, after all of these denials, they sue in order to be able to do what they claim they never did in the first place?

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Amazing. The Audacity of Fraud. Hmmm, that sounds familiar… Nah.

ACORN should be broken up and never allowed to operate again.

Agreed. I think that we should have a list of these organizations so they can be monitored. If they are investigated and broken up, they’ll just reform into something else. That seems discouraging, but it’s not so bad. The left never goes away, but if these groups are always spending resources on defending themselves for their crimes, they’ll have less to screw up the country.
