In a Pentagon memo released to and made public by ABC News, a funding “reprogramming request” states that our Military is looking to develop and maintain MOPs (Massive Ordinance Penetrators) . MOP is a 30,000-pound bomb devised to destroy targets that are as much as 200 feet underground.
In the fall of 2007, ABC News also reported that the Pentagon requested $88 million in the emergency Iraq/Afghanistan war funding for the same type of ordinance. Fast forward to the present and the Pentagon is asking for a “reprogramming” of funding for MOPs.
So why is the Pentagon wanting these bombs now? By looking at the memo, it says, “The Department has an Urgent Operational Need (UON) for the capability to strike hard and deeply buried targets in high threat environments. The MOP is the weapon of choice to meet the requirements of the UON.” And if you look carefully, this request is endorsed by Pacific Command and Central Command; they have responsibility over North Korea and Iran, respectively.

what a horror Iran is..Israel will deal with them as needed!
@Angel…have you heard what former President Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brezinski (who is now advising Obama on foreign policy)said in regards to Israel bombing Iran’s Nukes?
This is from an interview he did with the Daily Beast:
“DB: How aggressive can Obama be in insisting to the Israelis that a military strike might be in America’s worst interest?
Brzezinski: We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?
DB: What if they fly over anyway?
Brzezinski: Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse.”
I hope if Israel is going to do this, they do it soon. We can’t count in the messiah to confront a tyrant.
