Obama a Muslim?

November 22, 2009
by

On his radio show G. Gordon Liddy stated,

“I’m convinced that despite his protestations to the contrary, that Barack Obama is a Muslim. I don’t believe that he’s a Christian at all. I believe he’s a Muslim.” Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer stated “Well, you know the church that he famously or infamously attended was, was odd in many ways.”

Needless to say, comments like these are sending the Liberals to their keyboards like accounting clerks at tax time. Few comments posted are in support of the Idea that Obama could be a closet Muslim while I suspect that there are many Americans who suspect it. You don’t have to look long to see a pattern of Islamic favoritism in Obama’s behavior.

No sooner than the Senate announced that they intended to investigate Major Nadal Malik Hasan (the Fort Hood Mass Murderer) when Obama ordered them to back away stating that it was too soon to investigate. Initially all the media except Fox News were reluctant to tie this attack to terrorism. Most reasonable people could conclude Hasan was committing Jihad but were encouraged to maintain political correctness. Now even the most liberal of news sources are questioning this mans ties to Al Qaeda. He had multiple email accounts and donated thousands of dollars to militant Muslim organizations but many just want to call it “temporary insanity”.

Let’s ignore that Hasan made all those anti-American statements about the Afghan and Iraqi wars and that he wrote dozens of emails to a known Al Qaeda clerica and that he yelled “Allahu Akbar” as he slay the innocent. Let us also ignore that he purchased two guns nicknamed “Cop Killers” for their ability to penetrate body armor and then sneaked them on base. Let’s forget that he gave away his possessions hours before he committed his treacherous acts knowing that he was soon to be in paradise with his virgins. On second thought let’s not forget these things. When did reasonable people loose the ability to think and add up the facts and come up with conclusions? It happened over time when left wingers said we were wrong and harsh in our thinking and we bought into it.

Freudian Slip?

Face it America. About 20% of America is telling the rest of us how we should think, what we should believe, and where we should put our faith. I say it is high time that we think for ourselves and make our decisions accordingly and the speak out for what we believe. Call me loonie but I believe Obama’s fond memories of the Islamic call to prayer run deeper than he wants us to know. His efforts to squelch the truth and to pander to the rights of terrorists are not the thoughts of a PRO AMERICAN president. There. I have said it. Comments welcome.

About Matt

I believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

I can’t say if Obama is a Muslim or not, but he does appear to be overly apologetic towards Muslims. He seems to bend himself over backwards to prevent any appearance of a lack of trust of the Muslim faith. Okay, I will give him that one. The problem I do have is this. Look closely and see who is responsible for nearly every act of violence on innocent men, women, and children. What do you see? You will see Muslims at the root of it all.

I believe in freedom of religion and Muslims should fall into that category. However, that freedom does not include such acts of violence. Christians were castigated when Scott Rhoeder killed Dr. George Tiller. That killing was wrong, but no more so than a Muslim killing innocent people because he doesn’t like how Muslims are being treated.

I say they have brought this treatment on themselves through their actions. By his continuing to take up for the most violent of religions, President Obama makes himself look more and more naive.

  • Ron Russell November 22, 2009 at 8:21 pm

Personally I doubt if his is a Muslim, in fact I would say he is not religious at all. But as to the Muslim factor, it certainly appears that he leans in that direction when it comes to American foreign policy and to some extent in his domestic agenda. So the reality is that it doen’t make any difference if he is Muslim for he has the walk and the talk, in fact everything but the rag on his head and the sheet on his body. I don’t know if the Koran is under his pillow or not.

  • Ken Minor November 22, 2009 at 8:27 pm

    LD
No one can truly know what Obama believes as he is careful to never say and to deny if quoted.

I agree with you that there is an issue with the Muslim faith. I too want people to be free to practice there faith yet I see this ever increasing presence of militant Muslim clerics taking up residence in America, Great Britain, France and elsewhere. They have no desire to be like us but rather use our freedoms to advance their agendas. If we say anything then we are guilty of hate crimes or politcal incorrectnesss at best.

If there is one thing I would like for readers to take away from this discussion is that not all Muslims are bad but we need to be vigilant in that those that are will use “ANY MEANS NECESSARY” to win. That is the nature of their belief and whomever chooses to take up that finatical view of it.

    • LD Jackson November 22, 2009 at 8:40 pm

I agree, Ken. I have known a couple of Muslims who were customers at the place where I work and they were not bad people. Not all of them spout the hate and violence that is declared by the radical clerics. It does seem like a good many of them do, however. We need to be ever vigilant.

  • Ken Minor November 22, 2009 at 8:31 pm

    Ron,
You are absolutely correct. It makes no difference what Obama has for faith if he supports those who are Muslim.

What he does speaks so loudly I can hardly hear what he says!

Good post Ken, and a good discussion from Ron and LD, as always. I agree that his actual religious views, if any, are not necessarily relevant. I think, as with so many other issues, if he would simply be clear in the first place, there would be no confusion.

Before BHO was elected, I was raked over the coals by friends and fellow bloggers for asking the question “Is he a Moslem?”

As time has gone on since the election, those criticisms of my opinion have waned. And with good cause! The Cairo speech that BHO gave was filled with lies designed to whitewash Islam.

    • Ken Minor November 23, 2009 at 10:21 am

      Always,
It is impossible for lifes experiences not to affect someone and that has to include Obama’s past. He makes excuses for and covers up for Militant Islamics. His past associations speak for themselves.

The thing about this whole discussion is the “Situational Ethic” part of Islam “makara” where Allah and believers can do as needed to achieve their goals. Is that so very different to what you see happening in this administration regardles of proclaimed religious choices?

      • Always On Watch November 24, 2009 at 10:31 pm

I may be wrong, but I think that I’ve heard BHO say that he’s a pragmatist. In some ways, that is very close to the concept of makara.

  • Forgotten Liberty November 23, 2009 at 11:55 am

I have to agree with Ron. I’m think Obama is not a strict follower of any religion. He seems to believe in a god, but I don’t believe him when he claims to be a Christian. What’s troubling is that he does seem to have a real soft spot for Islam. He spoke about the beautiful sound of the call to prayer and repeatedly refers to the Koran as the “Holy” Koran. I’ve never heard him talk like that about Christianity or any other religion.

  • theLibertyPen November 23, 2009 at 1:34 pm

I would be happy if his wife wore a burkha.

Imagine if you will that Bush had said -

“I have known Christianity on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Christianity must be based on what Christianity is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Christianity wherever they appear.”

The MSM would have had a field day with it. Bush couldn’t even say grace at the dinner table without being excoriated for being “too religious,” but Obama gets away with being VERY Islamic.

    • Ken Minor November 23, 2009 at 4:28 pm

Wow Don! Sometimes the shoe on the other foot is so revealing.

I suppose the “Characteristic” that makes liberals think they are destined to provide “Political Correctness” is the same elitist thinking that makes them so blatantly one-sided.

  • Ron Russell November 23, 2009 at 4:35 pm

To be a Muslim is not to be a Christian, or is it to be a Christian is not to be a Muslim that is the question. One for which we will not get an answer, but I suspect he is neither.

  • Angel November 23, 2009 at 9:42 pm

Husseins agenda is so transparent it is maddening..SAY NO TO SHARIA LAW!!!!!!!

    • Ken Minor November 24, 2009 at 6:58 am

      Angel,
He does seem transparent to me. Then again I am a conservative lunatic.

  • Karen Howes November 23, 2009 at 11:19 pm

Ken, I do believe that Obama is a Mohammedan– why else would he refer to Islam as having been “revealed”? Those of us who are not Mohammedans know that Eeeslam is a combination of elements of Judaism, elements of Christianity, and the beliefs of a thief/murderer/sexual predator.

Even if Obama is not and has never been Mohammedan, he’s most assuredly a sympathizer of them, and is no less dangerous.

    • Ken Minor November 24, 2009 at 6:56 am

      Karen,
I tend to see these “small slips” like you do: quite revealing. While I can’t be certain, his actions make me think I can predict where he is going.

      Thanks, Ken

  • Leslie November 24, 2009 at 3:16 pm

I think he may have some sentimental attachment to Muslim culture (certainly more than he does for Christian culture). However, I don’t think he has any real religious conviction. As far as I can tell the man is completely amoral. No one could lie the way he does or take his extremist view of abortion unless they believed that they would never have to answer for it. I think the only reason he likes Muslim extremists so much is their shared hatred for conservative Christians.

  • Dominique November 24, 2009 at 8:44 pm

I unequivocally do not believe Obama is a Christian. His rhetoric is not congruent with his actions. He has repeatedly snubbed Christian events while whole-heartedly embracing Muslim events. He is unable to quote the Bible correctly. He stands for principles and perspectives that are in direct opposition of the Word of God.

That being said, I personally also believe that he is a closet Muslim…in the closet – at least for the time being. How the President of the United States can put forth a judge who believes that we the people should not be able to pray in Jesus’ name but can pray in Allah’s name makes no sense otherwise. How this president can build ties with some of the most radical Islamic groups knowing he is putting our country in danger again, for me, shows where his loyalties lie.

Our pastor has this saying. You know who a person is when they are squeezed. Obama has slipped and referred to his faith as Muslim when being questioned in an interview (stressful).

He is more oft than not siding with Muslim interests over American interests. Trying to be the leader of the world still doesn’t explain his Muslim leaning tendencies…at least not for me.

    • Ken Minor November 25, 2009 at 3:08 pm

      Dominique,
Elequently pithy writing. You have said in few what I tried to say in many.
      Bravo.

Dominique has a habit of doing that.

  • Matthew November 30, 2009 at 11:08 pm

Obama’s simply of Muslim descent. He’s not a Muslim any more than I am because one of the nations of my matrilege was conquered by the Turks

  • cmblake6 December 2, 2009 at 11:17 pm

Whether he’s a mooselip or not, he IS a domestic enemy. Whether he was born in Hawaii or not, he IS NOT an American. His formative years were not in this country, and his entire years of attitude generation were under the tutelage of communists. He must be removed.
