Conservative Hideout 2.0

I had been following Gallup for polling data as of late, but this came up in searching today.   Here is the latest from Rasmussen.

Just 38% of voters now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the lowest level of support measured for the plan in nearly two dozen tracking polls conducted since June.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% now oppose the plan.

Half the survey was conducted before the Senate voted late Saturday to begin debate on its version of the legislation. Support for the plan was slightly lower in the half of the survey conducted after the Senate vote.

Prior to this, support for the plan had never fallen below 41%. Last week, support for the plan was at 47%. Two weeks ago, the effort was supported by 45% of voters.

Intensity remains stronger among those who oppose the push to change the nation’s health care system: 21% Strongly Favor the plan while 43% are Strongly Opposed.

Rasmussen Reports is continuing to track public opinion on the health care plan on a weekly basis. Next week’s Monday morning update will give an indication of whether these numbers reflect a trend of growing opposition or are merely statistical noise.

Of course, this blows the lefty polls that state that “70% of the people want a public option!!”  If they wanted a public option, which is in the House and Senate versions, why are they overwhelmingly against it.

Now, since these numbers don’t agree with the administrations point of view, Rasmussen will be accused of all sorts of things.  however, will they level Those same claims at Gallup?

So, the people are finding out more about the plans, and they are now trending towards the view that government should have no role!  Perhaps this is why the Democrats refused to honor the promise of have the bills for public display, or why they wanted them passed so quickly.  Remember folks, they wanted this done before the August recess!

BTW, two polls that state that 70% of people want a public option were done by CBS (June) and ABC (November).

About Matt

I believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Ahhhh! The beginning of the end!
What are the chances that they can actually put something together in the Senate that Dennis Kucinich and Joe Lieberman could vote for!

Over, finished, done, gone , out!

    Next!

I think there’s two ways of looking at it. One is the old school way in which Reid may back away, rather than risking tons of political capital on a bill the the Republicans and Lieberman can block.

The other is the Chicago way, promise Leiberman whatever his heart desires, then put in whatever Obama wants in committee. They will not pass something without a public option, or abortion on demand as the final version. Too many of their constituent groups would freak out if they didn’t.

Lieberman is what a Democrat used to be. He has some perception of reality. He knows we can not afford this.

He’s also good on defense. He recognizes the danger of the “religion of peace.” You’re right though. You can deal with him, and he does put principal over party. I wish more Republicans would do that.

Obama doesn’t care whatsoever about public approval for his ObamaCare or bending the cost courve. This is a president who has quadrupled the deficit and created the largest national debt in the history of the U.S. and the highest unemployment, of 10.2%, since 1983. He doesn’t care at all about those issues. He cares about one thing; his agenda to “Socialize, Degrade and Europeanize America”. How transparent can he be? Now he’s on to prosecuting the CIA and giving terrorists a platform for their jihad. Obama is the greatest threat to the U.S. Keep up the good work Matt.

I’m working on another “Cloward-Piven” post to discuss what you are saying. It’ll probably be up on Friday or Sat, unless something shiny distracts me, that is.

Well, it’s not like Congress listens to what we have to say anyway.

Their the elite Snarky! They know better than us. We are just supposed to STFU and say “BAAAAA.”

Well, since Harry Reid is my Senator and prostitution is legal in our state, it made sense that he let Senator Mary Landrieu hook for 300 million taxpayer dollars.

It is my hope that the polls illustrating the public’s lack of support for Obama Care is due to common sense finally revealing itself. I know the battle is far from over, but it is a good start.

I have a great, politically incorrect, and totally tasteless idea, but I need someone with much better photoshop skills than myself.

For an hint, does anyone remember the old Duke Nukem first person shooter?

  • theLibertyPen November 25, 2009 at 10:43 pm

I have the game!!! Yes, I am a 38 year old gamer. Don’t hate me….

Not hating you at all. I used to game more before I blogged.

OK, remember the part of the game where Duke is in a Strip Club? If I’m remembering right, and I haven’t played this game in about 6-7 years, if you hit the fire button, Duke held out money to the stripper? What if someone could screen cap Duke’s arm holding the money, and add it as a layer to a pic of Senator Landrieu? It would fit!
