In these modern times political conspiracy theories abound. In the absence of facts it seems completely human to speculate and given small amounts of info can cause those speculations to become quite extreme. We are, however, not without information when it comes to the political climate in Washington. We have seen how Obama operates and whom he befriends. Based upon that data alone it was possible to predict how he would govern once elected president. Given a cursory understanding of congress and most anyone could foretell Congress’ actions.
So, at this point it is fair to ask the reader: Who here is surprised by what Obama and the Congress are doing? Only if you should leave a comment will I or the rest of the readers of this blog know your abilities at prognostication. I betting you did well.
The more difficult question is what to do about it. What actions should the average citizen take? I followed the norms and wrote and called everyone from here to Washington at least twice. If my results were like yours I was ignored, talked down to, or otherwise treated with disdain. Even sign toting on the steps of the Congress made little if any difference. And, while all of the polls show that Americans are against Healthcare Reform as it now is, Obama and his drones are steaming full speed ahead to deny American’s their right of representation.
For months Obama administration stated he would not be attending Copenhagen for the Climate talks. Once again, who here believed that? I thought so. In days he will go and indicate his willingness to dole out millions to poor nations because America has grossly destroyed the environment and we should pay. Picking up his Peace Prize will be justified as he will be there for government business. This is predictable yet shocking given the questions on the science that is pushing this effort. Why does everything have to be done NOW? I am sure you already have the answer.
Ok so let me get back to predicting or even better finding out your prophesies. I’ll bet you are going to say something about the 2010 and 2012 elections. Do you think your vote will make the needed difference? Yes? No? I’m not at all sure. People I talk to speak of things I never dreamed I’d hear: states seceding from the union, collapse of the dollar, America becoming a second world nation, one world government, and more. I call these WCS (worst case scenarios). Sadly I expect some of these will happen and none of them sound acceptable to me. Of course even thinking these things make me feel loony.

Interesting post. I am not surprised by what Obama and his ilk are doing, but I will admit I am surprised at the speed of which they are moving.
I have a post tomorrow that puts the 2012 elections in perspective. Many people are hanging their hats on the 2012 election but it looks like Soros and his ilk are setting about to “steal” the election for Obama and the Democrats through installing very liberal Secretaries of State.
We must get these people out, but now that they are in, I am a little flummoxed as to how we go about that.
The rhetoric is getting hotter and hotter. People are making conclusions with little hard data, and a lot of conjecture. There are threats to our freedom, some are more imminent than others. If I wanted to disrupt a movement, I might throw tons of misleading statements and half-truths at the members. That would cause confusion and dissent within the ranks.
We need to stick with the objectives that we’ve always had. We need to defeat or delay the health care plan. We need to stop cap and slave, and we need coalitions to win in 2010 and 2012. We do that, and we can take care of the rest. People are becoming aware and active like never before. If we avoid being distracted, and don’t go off half cocked and do something supremely stupid, we will achieve our objectives.
People will say, “what about the collapse of the economy, or the new world order?” We can’t stop that collapse while not in power, and if it happens, it happens. We still win the next two elections, provided that people don’t do something stupid. If the NWO wants to assert themselves, we still win in the next two. We just have to remain calm, and stay on course. Obama is proving himself to be what we said all along. He, along with Pelosi and Reid, are inept and are failing, why interfere? Let’s focus on what we can do, and accept what we cant. Once we get power back, then we fix things.
Excellent analysis, Matt! This is a great plan, very succinct. They are throwing stuff at us to distract us. We must stay on course. When you enemy is screwing things up and talking like an imbecilic moron, don’t interrupt him.
I couldn’t agree more with Matt, if fact, I think he stole my thoughts for his comment!
We need to stay on track and focus our attention, avoid all unnecessary distractions, and stay active in the pursuit of Liberty.

I feel that most conservatives saw the hand writing on the wall should Obama be elected, but few I suspect knew the wild extremes his administration would take. I fear something totally unexpected will happen before the election in 2012 and maybe even the one in 2010. Some predicted what would happen under Obama, but those predictions were like those of the Trojan princess Cassandra–few believed.

I think you are right in that we feared what might happen. What we are seeing is far beyond my original concerns. I knew of his associations and suspected his potential, I just underestimated him. I fear that many still are underestimating him; even informed, savy people.
I think people are frustrated and feel like they are in a type of ‘emperor has no cloths’ situation…
People turn on the t.v., pick up a paper or talk to a ‘less than informed’ co-worker and you hear and read (for example) that the earth is doomed and the planet is warming uncontrollably and if we don’t do somthing this week, all is lost.
Of course, you can look with your own eyes or do your own simple research and see it’s not true.
I could go on and on…
A large segment of the population knows what is right and feel like no one is listening. I know my two ‘ace’ senators and fantastic Governor are certainly not.

My Congressman and one of my Senators are in the bag for Obama. They have shown utter disdain for their constiuents. It does seem that no one is listening but I suspect that the currents under the surface are more active than we know. My biggest concern is that folks will get tired of the fight. That is what Community Organizers do; they wear down their oponents.

That’s a great point Ken. These folks have been working on their agenda for decades. They’re in it for the long haul, and they aren’t going away anytime soon. Wearing us down, and causing confusion and discouragement is part of the toolbox.
