Kindly take a look at his incoherent diatribe.

I don’t talk about this much, and certainly never on the blog, but I was with my father when he died of an incurable illness.  I respect his memory too much to use him to score political points.  You see, I have no need to exploit the misery of others to make a political point.   That’s the benefit of having the truth on your side.

However, Mr. Olbermann, has no similar self inhibitions, nor does he have even the most tenuous grasp on reality.

Mr. Olbermann, you have again showed yourself to be the transparent, sycophant, useful idiot that you are.  You are an insult to “journalism,” and I hope you end up as a footnote in the history books.  By the way, you’ll be in the chapter on how the MSM destroyed itself by becoming the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.  Your picture will be next to Goebbels-the next paragraph will be about TASS and Pravda.

You speak of death panels, you repeat the talking points of we were paid to protest.  Here is your death panel.  His name is Ezekiel Emanuel.  He works as a health care adviser in the Obama Administration.  This is what he thinks about end of life care...

“Ultimately, the complete lives system does not create ‘classes of Untermenschen whose lives and well being are deemed not worth spending money on,’ but rather empowers us to decide fairly whom to save when genuine scarcity makes saving everyone impossible.”

“When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated”

“Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others” (emphasis mine)

What chance would your father have in that system?  Come to think of it, both of us are over 40, what chances would we have?

You cynically speak of caring for everyone, yet that really isn’t part of the plan, is it?  For all of your feigned self righteousness, you miss that point entirely.  And since you are nothing more than a empty headed pile of recycled socialist propaganda, you apparently have started to believe your own talking points.

You can keep on repeating those same failed talking points.  You can invoke your father as much as you want as an emotional appeal.  None of that will change the truth.  We are here, unpaid and strong.  We will continue to protest, and we will show up to vote with our friends and family.  We will sweep “hope and change” out of power, and you can sit there are preach to the three people that still watch your pathetic excuse of a show.  Until MSNBC pulls the plug, that is.

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Matt, Olbermann is a complete nitwit– never had a mind to start with.

Notice that the left always uses emotional appeals to justify evil? They have to, because facts go against them.

You are very correct. The left relies on emotional appeals. They are effective, and they don’t rely on facts.

How much is Olbermoron’s ratings down? 44% 50%. That’s the sound of a free fall Keith. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame.

      Well said Infidel!

Olbermann is absolutely shameless. My father died 3 years ago from lung cancer. He was a proud man and a man that loved his family. He was told he was terminal on Dec 1 2006 and the only thing he said was I want to go home and spend my last few days with my family. He was in terrible pain but never complained, because he was more concerned about his family and keeping his dignity. My father died on Dec 15 2006, but before he died he left me with this. He told me he had no regrets, and thanked God for every day he got to spend with us. He was grateful and humble. That is who my Dad was; unselfish and grateful. He loved his family more than anything and I am grateful and a better man for having him as my Father.

Sorry for your loss. I just had to rant about this, for many of the same things you mentioned. I cannot fathom ever using my father’s death as a political statement. Not only that, Olbermann distorts everything else while using his father’s situation.

  • Ron Russell February 27, 2010 at 12:31 am

I watched only a minute of the clip–just can’t stand to watch him under any conditions. I would watch if he were leaving MSNBC for good, heck he might as well not be there anyway considering the numbers his show gets.

I struggled through it myself. Rarely have I ever wanted to throw my monitor through a wall. This was one of those times.

Maybe his father was “thrashing about saying, “Stop it’” because Countdown was on the TV…

      Matt February 27, 2010 at 2:21 am

I dunno Don. The fact that the man’s son would use him like that says a lot about the son.

        Don February 27, 2010 at 2:51 am

The fact that Olbermann is in charge of ANYONE’S medical power of attorney is scary stuff.

  • Snarky Basterd February 27, 2010 at 11:34 am

Sorry, man, but Mike of Once Upon a Time in the Innerwebs is right: We should stop writing about Olberman. Let him just fall into a void where no one watches him and no one writes or tweets about him, and maybe he and Charles Johnson can go off and get married and live happily ever after.

      Matt February 27, 2010 at 12:30 pm

He hit a bit close to home on this, so I had to do something. I hear the logic behind not talking about him, but it’s like watching a train wreck in slomo. You just can’t turn away. He is a perfect example of the fail of the MSM. It’s sad and educational.

  • Cracked World February 27, 2010 at 11:44 pm

I always thought that Olberman was depressing but damn! Your right he is low he is exploiting his father for a political ideologue that he NOTHING to gain from other than an invitation to the Lincoln Bedroom (provided that Andy Stern hasn’t moved in yet.)

He has completely missed the point of his own anguish. An absolute Kool-Aid drinker.

      Matt February 28, 2010 at 1:25 am

I think the Kool-Aid runs through his veins.

      • Don February 28, 2010 at 4:05 am

Speaking of Andy Stern, head of SEIU, he has been named to that stupid deficit commission by El Presidente…

        • Cracked World February 28, 2010 at 10:20 pm

Please tell me your kidding. Lobbyists should not be allowed to serve on any kind of Government commissions. I’m sure they’d point out that Bush did it too or something; he shouldn’t have done it either and two wrongs don’t make a right.

          • Matt
            Matt February 28, 2010 at 10:43 pm

He’s not kidding. I don’t know that he’s been named, but it has been discussed. Technically, Stern is no longer registered as a lobbyist. Which makes him as illegal as all hell. But, of course, the MSM is covering for the POTUS.

  • Dennis Gallagher March 1, 2010 at 9:45 pm

Olbermann–this slob will go to any lengths to get ratings to beat O’Reilly even to the extent of exploiting his father’s grave illness to advance his socialist support of ObamaCare. What talent, ideas or value does this putz bring to political commentary other than self-loathing anger and hatred. He is a tremendous waste of prescious airwaves. As a Buckley conservative I believe it is important to know thine enemy. However Olbermann isn’t worth being anyone’s enemy. He is simply a pathetic joke.

Dennis, it seems that Olbermann has gone beyond the line. I’ve seen some reports that suggest that he’ll be fired soon. Time will tell. The sad thing is that some network will pick him up.
