I’m working on some more serious posts, but the left keeps throwing softballs.

Earlier this  month, it was announced that David Plouffe, the man responsible for Obama’s on-line efforts during his election campaign, has returned to his post.  Here is a review of what he did during the primary and general elections.

Of course, Team Obama web-based efforts continue as a high priority… and this seems to include a comprehensive and organized effort to control political discourse on the Internet-with a disciplined message and Obamamania cheerleading, coupled with Alinsky-style attacks and diversions when useful.

And anyone reading message boards these days -such as Politico, Topix, or Yahoo!- can see what appears to be organized Obama-ites jumping on fresh conversation threads thoroughly and promptly, gaming the ratings-system with multiple IDs (I once had a message on Yahoo! rated over 100 times- curiously, with zero written responses)- as well as attempting any other imaginable manipulation perceived to be to their propaganda advantage.  Sometimes, the goal seems simply to clog the board with so many new posts and topics as to render conservative messages unreadable.

There are taunting statements and personal attacks on what they call the “cons”- burying their posts in gobbledygook. Steer the topic.  Change the subject.  Deflect and divert. And they’re at it all day long- in a comprehensive and systematic way.  It is hard to avoid the conclusion that there are organized trolls attempting to hijack and control all internet debate, all to maintain momentum for The One as he rams-through an ultra-liberal agenda while also focused on 2010… and 2012.

Using ID’s as “Little Bam” and “USA_4_Obama”, you see them on there spinning every reality like the Tasmanian Devil…  i.e.- the New Deal was just great (but perhaps not big enough), everybody loves Barack, all his opponents are retrograde racist/anti-progressives in the “Party of No”… or are somehow allied with the evil and greedy “rich”.

If you spend any amount of time on Digg, you know what this quote says is true.  I’ve dugg stories and comments one hour, and the posts will have 20-30 diggs.  A couple of hours later, all Conservative posts are to -60, and there are a ton of liberal responses with a huge number of diggs.

So, needless to say, I was expecting fireworks,  massive invasions of lib trolls, deceit, and massive doses of the Alinsky method.  So, imagine my surprise when I saw this, from Organizing for Amerika.

CALLING TIPS

·    Be polite, respectful, and clear. Remember, you represent Organizing for America.
·    How radio stations will connect you will depend on the show. Some radio shows may connect you right away, but most will take your name and basic info and put you on hold. You may or may not be able to hear the broadcast on the show while you’re waiting. You may hear the radio host say something like, “Hello, we have your name on the line with us.”
·    Some hosts may challenge your views. Stay calm and firm. Sharing a personal story about how health reform affects you and your family is a great way to show the importance and urgency of health reform.
·    If you can’t get through, don’t worry! If the show you call is busy or not accepting calls at the moment you call in, simply click “Give me another show” to find another.

DISCUSSION POINTS

These points are only to provide extra information and suggestions. Your personal story will make the most compelling message.

·    For most Americans, their health care plan covers too little and costs too much. Far too many people delay or even skip the care they need because they simply can’t afford it.
·    The plan the President laid out includes the largest health care tax cut for middle class families in history and makes coverage more affordable for tens of millions of families and small business owners and expands coverage to over 31 million Americans who are currently uninsured.
·    This plan will give millions of Americans new choices in health insurance by making coverage more affordable, ending the denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions, putting power in the hands of consumers instead of insurance companies and providing one of the largest tax cuts in history while also reducing our national deficit.
·    Reform couldn’t be more urgent – just this month consumers in California were told their premiums could go up as much as 39 percent.
·    Too many in Washington are now saying that we should delay or give up on reform entirely, but Americans understand the stakes for our economy and our lives, and we want action.

So this is it??  Seminar Callers?  Move On started this in the 90′s.  Every call screener and host on the dial knows about this.  Most of them won’t get through, and those that do will be destroyed by the host.

Let’s be honest.  There is no way that a bunch of useful idiots can impact talk radio.  It didn’t work in the 90′s, it won’t work now either.  There are two options, this is a distraction, as they are planning something bigger, or they are going to send some vacuous college students off to distract talk radio audiences.

I’ll do more on this as it develops.  If  it develops.

BTW, to Organizing for Amerika, do you have any idea how deeply you are infiltrated?

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

I heard Hannity mention something about this while I was at work today, but couldn’t catch the story. Thanks, Matt!

Ironically, I saw a ling to the OFA page on Digg.

I was able to listen to Rush a good part of Friday and he was having a lot of fun with this.

I say, bring it on… The lefts policies and ideas are a very unpopular and becoming more so every day.

I appears that they are wasting a whole lot of resources on nothing.

The project is called “Groundswell”. I received the email from Organizing for America starting this off on January 26. The title of the email was “Help Build a List of Talk Radio Shows”. It starts out by saying,

“Each day, millions of Americans turn to talk radio as a trusted source of news and opinions on the big issues of the day.

Getting thousands of OFA supporters to call in to these shows in support of health reform and President Obama’s agenda will have a dramatic impact — and will help shape public opinion.

But we need you to make it happen. Along with thousands of other active volunteers like you, you’ll help identify which radio shows talk about politics and accept calls.

Please take just three minutes and answer three simple questions about a radio show in your area. Together, you’ll build a massive, nationwide list in no time.”

I like getting their emails so I know what they are doing and saying. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” lol

Great find Jackie! In fact, you have inspired me with a semi-evil plot. I’ll be updating, or creating a new post in a while.

  • Karen Howes February 27, 2010 at 10:28 am

Nothing new under the sun, eh, Matt?

    • Matt February 27, 2010 at 11:24 am

      Indeed.

  • John Carey February 27, 2010 at 11:26 am

    Good info Matt!

I say let them talk. The paradigm in the political landscape has changed. People are now waking up and becoming aware of what the progressive plan is and the more they try to sell, the more they dig their own ideological grave. Great post my friend.

This is just stupid. “Personal stories” … like all of the crap the Zombiecrats put forth at the Summit the other day. Republicans laid out clear ideas for reform; Zombiecrats countered with sob stories.

The best was when I heard Tom Harkin speak. I damn near died laughing when I tweeted this: “There you go. Harkin says: If you have health care, you’re a racist.”

The fail from the left is getting to me more and more…fail!

Plouffe wants to lean on a bunch of lazy stoners who were dumb enough to get on his mailing list? Good luck with that, Davie. I look forward to hearing Rush and Levin dismantle your loser phonebots.

    • Don February 27, 2010 at 5:36 pm

Exactly, I LOVE it when Mark Levin tears into one of these seminar callers. He got one a few months ago that claimed to be a veteran, but when asked by Levin which unit he served under, the seminar caller said, “The New York unit.” Priceless.

It’ll be fun, but the only other possible tactic is to disrupt & distract.
