The administration would have us believe that the medical profession is solidly behind the President’s health care plan. After all, they repeatedly have handed out white coats to supporters for photo ops. Right after it passes, they’ll all get on their unicorns and lead the way to the progressive utopia, right?
As usual, reality intervenes, and we start seeing more of the likely consequences of what will happen if ObamaCare passes. For today, let’s take a look if there will be a doctor for you to see. You see, large numbers of doctors will quit or retire if ObamaCare passes.
Nearly one-third of all practicing physicians may leave the medical profession if President Obama signs current versions of health-care reform legislation into law, according to a survey published in the latest issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
The survey, which was conducted by the Medicus Firm, a leading physician search and consulting firm based in Atlanta and Dallas, found that a majority of physicians said health-care reform would cause the quality of American medical care to “deteriorate” and it could be the “final straw” that sends a sizeable number of doctors out of medicine.
More than 29 percent (29.2) percent of the nearly 1,200 doctors who responded to the survey said they would quit the profession or retire early if health reform legislation becomes law. If a public option were included in the legislation, as several liberal Senators have indicated they would like, the number would jump to 45.7 percent.
So, how might the administration or MSM spin this, or will they just ignore it entirely? After all, any information that goes against the proclamations of the POTUS are all from ignorant, redneck, uneducated, racist, homophobic, teabaggers…ESPECIALLY the ones that went to medical school!
How are we going to treat all of the millions of people that will allegedly get coverage under ObamaCare with 30-40% less doctors?

I believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. The administration is playing dictatorial propaganda like games. They will first point to the AMA (American Medical Association) which in all actuality on represents under 21% of doctors in America. Also these doctors aren’t uniform in agreement only the leadership is. As like most Unions the leadership is in bed with Obama but the rank and file are not. You will find that well over 60% by our estimates in the least of doctors are against Obama Care. I’m not just throwing this number out. I run the T.P. Polling group that today released a poll on the Senate Primary coming up in Florida. Google this – ‘New Poll: Conservative Rubio Pounds Crist For Upcoming Republican Senate Primary’. Why I’m telling you this is we are doing a poll next week on this topic and what percentage of our doctors really support Obama Care. It will not be to Obama’s liking if the preliminary data is accurate. With the help of the media Obama is playing one big and vast propaganda game from the start. It is failing.

Excellent post Matt! I think the MSM will ignore these numbers. The fact is these numbers have been floating around for awhile now and what have you heard out of the MSM? They can’t afford to rock the boat when the progressives are so close to destroying America as we know it. Remember their agenda is Obama’s agenda.
Very true John, but I still see the need to point out the bias. We still should expect the media to do their job. They’re supposed to be a check on government abuse, not cheerleaders for it!

I think John is right. The main stream media will most likely ignore these numbers. I think one of the biggest problems we have had in recent years is the tendency of said media to give only one side of the story. They refused to say much about Bush that was good and they are refusing to say much about Obama that isn’t good. The same goes for a lot of our politicians. They try to tell us what they want us to hear and expect us to listen. I think we need to keep shaking the tree and let the apples fall where they will.

It only confirms what we already knew. I’m seeing some stuff today that suggests that it’ll kill about 700000 jobs this year.
