The police in DC closed Lafayette Park in front of the White House when a small hand full of protesters handcuffed them to the fence around Obama’s digs. I say Obam’s digs because it no longer belongs to the people.

Police and Secret service closed the park and backed off the Press and anyone trying to witness the protest against “Don’t ask Don’t Tell” policy in the military. The White House took it upon themselves to kill the free press with an additional stance of don’t report. We have long known Obama’s policy on the media but this is beyond hampering and is totally illegal. Check out this video.

America. Stand to your feet and tell Obama no. Then again it may be too late.

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

It is very odd that this story is not on the news sites, such as FOX or CNN. You would think it would be all over the news.

The mainstream media uses two standards to identify free expression- there is “Freedom of Liberal Expression,” by which all expression that agrees with the elite media is accepted, and there is “racist, hate expression,” which applies to all conservative expression. It reminds me of the old 2-part rule:

    1. I am always right.
    2. If I am ever wrong, see rule 1.

LD, I did catch this on FOX. So much for freedom of the press, huh?

  • LD Jackson April 21, 2010 at 4:31 pm

Thanks, Karen. I must have just missed it on their website.

This reminds me of one of the videos featuring Anita Dunn. She was on a foreign broadcast bragging about how the campaign completely controlled the MSM, and didn’t let them ask any hard questions.

Then again, how long has it been since Obama had a news conference? I guess it would be awkward if the TOTUS had to answer all the questions.

I agree with so much of what has been said here. This is video footage of the Administration controlling and denying the free press. Mark it down. The freedom of the press and freedom of speech died today and was recorded with video. Obama does not wanting the gays to be upset just now so he used what would otherwise be loyal americans to push away our freedoms. He has sidestepped them, he has circumvented them, he has ignored them but now he is outright denying them.

Until today I would have said this could only happen in some dictatorship somewhere. We now have one. America awake. Please wake up before it is too late. At this pace we won’t make it until November.

That happened quite some time ago.

The good stuff happens at 1:45.

This is absolutely shocking to me. It’s lucky there wasn’t a riot; fortunately there were no violent Tea Party members around or things would have gotten ugly.

I fear it is only a matter of time before a Central American style protest happens in this country and this is the kind of thing that can cause such an incident. Such action could cause anarchy.

Hopefully people wake up and realize the second American Revolution has begun.

Shocking, Weird, Odd – pick your adjective because I am running out of Obamatives. Whatever hope I had that our current government is salvageable has faded. Nothing short of throwing them all out will make a difference. It is clear by the levels they can stoop to that they can sink lower than we can imagine. Obama has given “despicable” a bad reputation.

    It’s getting bad out there.

Obama would silence all opposition if it were in his power. Lets face it, the Constitution is an obstacle he must over come—he doesn’t like it and has said so in some vague statements in the past. They say he taught constitutional law, but has anyone of his former students ever been found—short answer is NO!

So much for freedom of the press. As Larry said, you would think that news outlets would be all over this story. We know what would have happened if Bush had not allowed the press to cover war protesters outside the White House. But the media is silent, perhaps they are afraid of repercussions!

  • Trestin Meacham April 22, 2010 at 8:24 am

I’m very much against the gay agenda. However, they should be allowed to express their ideas. Blocking the press from reporting on a protest is unbelievable. Obama is not a liberal, he is a fascist.

    • Ken Minor April 22, 2010 at 9:16 am

      Trestin,
Karen posted a link above where Fox wrote about it. I watched several Fox shows last night and no mention came up. O’reilly said they closed the park due to the protestors but no mention of the press being shooed like flies. It literally made me ill to watch this and then to see it go unnoticed is well…

I truly feel I watched the death of our First Amendment and so goes the nation.
