As we’ve been covering the flag tee-shirt story, a related incident has emerged.  Gateway Pundit, The Other McCain, and America Power Blog have been discussing a video made at a La Raza related event.  Here is the video.

While the content is pretty clear, the details about the speaker are a concern.  The speaker’s name is Ron Gochez, and he is a teacher at a Los Angeles high school.

I personally chuckled when I read that he is a “School of Public Service and Social Justice faculty member.”  So, a would-be Communist revolutionary is teaching Marxism in a government school.

Should we be surprised?

But wait…there’s more.  American Power Blog also reports that along with his Marxism, Mr. Gochez appears to be a racist as well.

Well, we find more on Ron Gochez with a little digging. For one thing the guy’s a rabid anti-Semite. In 2002, he published a Letter to the Editor, at SDSU’s Daily Aztec, entitled “The Jewish-owned media continue to blind the masses with propaganda to keep them in fear.” The letter’s been taken down, but not the responses to it.

Follow the link to find the reactions to Mr. Gochez’s alleged anti-semitism.  I’ve screen capped it in the event that someone tries to scrub that as well.

BTW, I think Mr. Gochez just earned himself a spot on the Useful Idiot of the Month Poll.

Note: The video at the post by Gateway Pundit was “removed by user.”  While there are still multiple versions available on YouTube, I would recommend archiving a copy in the event that the other copies are scrubbed as well.  It seems like someone wants to hide Mr. Gochez’s acts of sedition.  We won’t let that happen.  The internet is forever, and fair use is a great tool.

Matt

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Now is there any doubt in your mind as to the dangers of Amnesty and weak immigration laws? We are sitting on a powder keg and being white is “being the fuse”. La Raza is a growing and powerful racist hate group and this guy puts in plain words what they stand for.

Thanks for covering this Matt. People like this won’t allow for peaceful change nor a return to the way it once was.

The more I look at groups like this, the more I’m convinced that they’ll start some violence. They will kill people, and lots of them.

  • innominatus May 10, 2010 at 3:03 pm

I feel like I should try to explain to the totalitarians that the Jews are not the cause of all the world’s problems. But I’m pretty sure I’d be wasting my time.

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:40 pm

You’d think that history would convince them, but they need a straw man.

  • cmblake6 May 10, 2010 at 4:00 pm

Hey, hey, let’s PARTY! I know a LOT of LEGAL Mexican immigrants that would stand with their new country. As for this pos, you like Mexico so much? GO BACK!

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:41 pm

He thinks he IS in Mexico. The lefties never want to leave, they want to change the US to meet their level of fail.

  • THE LIBERTY PEN May 10, 2010 at 4:30 pm

This is a simple man, either he is unaware of Castro’s and Guevara’s history, or fully endorses it. If this reaches a violent event, he will be responsible for the damage. Although, I doubt he would actually care.

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:43 pm

He would likely see violence, even that started by his own hand, as a needed step in the overall revolution.

This guy certainly seems smart enough to know that they would have to kill thousands, if not millions, to bring their plans to fruition. But then again, systems that do not value individuals…

  • Solomon May 10, 2010 at 6:20 pm

It Seems to me that these two go perfectly together, this explains the American Flag controversy, with La Raza teachers like this its no wonder hispanic students think America is an evil empire and Pancho Villa is a hero. As to the antisemitism personally I think most of it comes from liberals and progressives upset over the fact that Israel isn’t rolling over for Palestine, some of the worst stuff I have personally heard comes from the progressive view of how Israel isn’t treating Palestine well.

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:45 pm

I sometimes think that the treatment of Jews is consistent with the predictions of a source far higher than me.

They’re using a twisted version of history to brainwash kids, something at which the progressives specialize.

  • John Carey May 10, 2010 at 6:55 pm

Once again, the fringe elements of our society are trying to gain a foothold. I know where I would like to place my foot. Their warped sense of reality is a disease. These people have zero respect for what America is. They have zero respect for our grandparents and the generation that beat back NAZI Germany and Imperial Japan. They have no respect for the laws of this land. They have zero respect for our Founding Fathers and our Constitution.

Which means I have zero respect for them.

    Liberty forever, freedom for all!

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:46 pm

True on all counts John. For me, how much of that movement is “fringe?”

      • John Carey May 14, 2010 at 8:47 am

I hear ya Matt. Maybe not as fringe as we may believe or at least want to believe.

  • Karen Howes May 10, 2010 at 8:05 pm

And there were also the underage hotties on his pimped-out MySpace page!

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:49 pm

Yeah, I didn’t want to steal EVERYTHING American Power Blog wrote,

It is fishy that he has all of those underage kiddos on his page. I know he’s a teacher, but still, there needs to be some professional boundaries. Then again, he’s a hardcore lib, so rules, standards, and morality doesn’t apply to him.

  • Angel May 10, 2010 at 9:05 pm

shhhh dont mention race k?..I passed 4 bus signs today Matt..In NYC..ALL in Spanish..hola! :(

      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:51 pm

Some say that it’s a slow, steady invasion. It’s starting to look that way, isn’t it? Stay safe Angel!

  • Steve Dennis May 10, 2010 at 10:01 pm

And this is the type of person who is teaching our children?

    • Matt
      Matt May 10, 2010 at 10:52 pm

Hell Steve, I really wonder if he’s the only one? How many of these folks are grooming a generation of revolutionaries?

  • cmblake6 May 10, 2010 at 11:37 pm

So, how’d you like my post on this? Pretty simple and to the point, don’t you think?

    • Matt
      Matt May 11, 2010 at 6:33 pm

Can’t get more to the point than that! :D

  • Snarky Basterd May 11, 2010 at 6:30 am

BTW, I think Mr. Gochez just earned himself a spot on the Useful Idiot of the Month Poll.

And I think he’ll quickly rise to the top….

    Good stuff here, Matt.

      I’m thinking so Snarky.

  • Infidel de Manahatta May 11, 2010 at 4:11 pm

It’s only a matter of time before Obama nominates him to the Supreme Court.

      Matt May 11, 2010 at 6:26 pm

Yeah, I heard that Move On is leaving banana peels outside of Alito’s office to “create” another opening on the court. :D

  • Teresa May 11, 2010 at 7:46 pm

This man is off his rocker. I fear that this is going to end up being bad, and these people are going to cause some sort of violence. We must stop America from becoming North Mexico.

    • Matt
      Matt May 11, 2010 at 8:43 pm

You aren’t kidding. These folks are openly calling for revolution, but we’re the “bad guys.”

  • Bunni May 11, 2010 at 8:02 pm

Great expose with this Racist psycho.
They try to get rid of the evidence, but the internet is forever!

    • Matt
      Matt May 11, 2010 at 8:45 pm

Especially when we archive their stuff. They can run, but they can’t hide from their own words.

  • Ken Minor May 11, 2010 at 8:28 pm

As a former Californian and someone who knows a bit about the Mexican culture I am here to tell you that this guy is not all that extreme compared to the immigrants in general. While this guy is a citizen he speaks what is in the hearts of so many Mexican Americans. Notice I am referring to citizens here. The illegals were at work. They don’t speak enough english to listen to this guy nor will they risk ICE in such a crowd. Mark it down that this guy represents angry Mexican Americans. They will get violent. You can be sure of that. We did not adopt the word machismo because we thought it sounded cool but because of the boisterous attitude it represents.

Now. For every legal Mexican Immigrant here you can be sure that there are illegal family members close by. Heck. Obama’s aunt is still here. People who do not respect the laws of our nation are priveledged to choose their own.

      Matt May 11, 2010 at 8:46 pm

Thanks for the warning Ken. It needs to be heeded. We just need to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

      • Ken Minor May 12, 2010 at 8:27 pm

        Matt,
I agree with your desire to want a favorable outcome. I pray for the best but I do not expect the best. I understand the forces operating here and there is little room for “hope”. My faith is in God and in his desire and my goal is to use the wisdom he has given us. It is time Matt for people to put down their hoes and pick up their pitchforks and harvest blades as the battle lines have been drawn. Surely you do not expect them to be redrawn because good people hope? With everything I am I can want what I would. What will come is in the works. May the peace of God be on everyone who lingers here and those that would know him. Light your lamp and go to the roof tops and don’t discourage others with words to something else. They know it in their hearts. Mixed messages confuse the weak..

        Just my thoughts.
        Ken

Those are some very good thoughts Ken.

  • LD Jackson May 11, 2010 at 9:08 pm

Well, I am coming in a bit late to this discussion, but here I am. I made it about 1:15 into the video before hitting the stop button. Look, most of you know how I run my own blog and how I try to keep things peaceful, but people like that, saying the things he was saying, get under my skin pretty quickly.

They claim we are racist, but they are the ones acting the part.

    • Matt
      Matt May 11, 2010 at 11:27 pm

I know what you mean Larry. These are the folks that will not negotiate. They aren’t interested in sharing ideas. They want to impose their ideas on the rest of us, upon the pain of death. The left is concerned with the accumulation of power. We believe in, for the most part, classical liberalism. Those two philosophies are diametrically opposed, and completely incompatible. That’s why bipartisanship is impossible.

As for the racism, I still follow the axiom, “the left will ALWAYS accuse the right of what they themselves are doing.”
