Our friend Trestin had run this great video about a week ago, and I had intended on using it myself.  With all the talk this week of actual hope, and Conservatives on the front lines, it takes on a bit more meaning.  Give this about ten minutes of your time, if you can’t be inspired by it, your heart is full of gunk.

He was right then, just as we are right now.  We need to capture his confidence and conviction.  If we do, we will win.

Matt

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

This two-bit Alinskyite punk Obama couldn’t hold the Gipper’s jockstrap~

When I die and go to Heaven, my dream would be to witness an Obama-v-Reagan debate… shame Dear Leader won’t be making the cut

Reagan would truth him to death. Would be fun to watch though!

What a great audio! We need more leaders who are unabashedly conservative; leaders who don’t sell out to get the “moderate” vote.

We have them Kristen. They are us. We just need to capture Reagan’s confidence and conviction.

Ronald Reagan’s words are similar to the Bible’s (no, I’m not committing heresy. No matter how far away time moves, the wisdom is still pertinent to every day life.

I know what you mean. No heresy detected.

    I miss him.

Me too. He defined the decade. Of course, the libs have to distort that. I remember that Clinton and the MSM did their best to define the 80′s as one of the worst in terms of the economy. However, all demographic groups did so much better in terms of economic opportunity.

I’m with John… I may have only been a kid at the time, but I miss Reagan too!

One of my favorite Reagan quotes:

“How do you tell a communist? Well, that’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-communist? That’s someone who UNDERSTANDS Marx and Lenin.”

That one is a classic. Of course, the people that are “anticommunist are us.”

People would say “Reagan is a once in a lifetime President”. I never really knew what they meant until a few years back.

Sad to say, we may never another Reagan again. The combination of all his abilities may be so strong and so distinct that they just can’t be duplicated.

What I wouldn’t give to have someone like Reagan step into the picture today!
