I’ve been making some changes to the site as of late. One concentration has been to improve the load speed. So there are less images, and most of the advertising is concentrated on the main page. (let’s face it, I am, after all, a free-market capitalist!)
Another concern is how to take care of the people that link here. The blog roll, believe it or not, was actually slowing the site down. So, I have moved the blogroll to it’s own page, and added another feed-read blogroll for all other pages. It looks cleaner, and demands less system resources.
As for the Useful Idiot of the Month Poll, there is a poll for you to pick whether or not we’ll continue to pick a monthly useful idiot. Feel free to vote. If you can find a way to vote twice, go for it. However, this is not ACORN, and I will not be paying you for it. :P
There are some future developments. I will be installing a mobile theme this week. So, if you are accessing this site from a mobile devise, there will be a clean, simple theme to display on your smart phone. It has passed all the tests on my test site, and is ready to go.
There are some new, exciting things in the works, so stand by, and I’ll announce them when they are ready.
I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has contributed, linked and commented here in the year and a half that this blog has existed. As you know so very well, blogging is not easy. It takes time and devotion, so people that have supported me through all of this are very much appreciated. Thank you all, and I’ll keep on trying to bring good content and the occasional surprise to all of you.
Matt

The blog looks good, Matt. There does seem to be an increase in loading time this morning, but that may have more to do with the net itself than anything else. Let me know when you get the mobile theme going and I will see what it looks like on my HTC Aria.
Thanks for pointing that out, Larry. I’m going to make some more changes, and see what I get.
Give it a shot Larry. It’s set up.
It looks pretty good, Matt. I am using Dolphin to view it on my HTC Aria and it is working fine. Opera Mini had a big blank space at the bottom, but not with Dolphin.
Looks great Matt, one of the most professional-looking sites I’ve ever seen, love the format- user friendly too
And keep up the good fight, our side is winning now…
