I’m feeling a bit sarcastic tonight.  Just thought I’d warn you.

This is going to sound weird, and rather scary, but for about .75 seconds, I actually felt for the hard left.  You see, Propaganda Minister Gibbs ripped them a new one today, referring to them as the “professional left.”  The Hill has coverage of  Gibbs’s rant.

During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough.

During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough.

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.”

The press secretary dismissed the “professional left” in terms very similar to those used by their opponents on the ideological right, saying, “They will be satisfied when we have Canadian healthcare and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon. That’s not reality.”

Of those who complain that Obama caved to centrists on issues such as healthcare reform, Gibbs said: “They wouldn’t be satisfied if Dennis Kucinich was president.”

Now, we are kind of used to this, given the GOP leadership’s disdain for the public, as exemplified by their treatment of the Tea Parties.  However, we know that the GOP establishment is one of our enemies.  The hard left, on the contrary,  thought that Obama was their guy.  He was the one who was going to usher us into a age of single payer, appeasment, and the end of what little remains of the free market.  They, apparently, are not pleased with Obama’s incremental approach, as well as his incompetence in executing his plans.  After all, he couldn’t get single payer, let alone the public option that would lead to it -even with supermajorities in both Houses in Congress.

Note to Gibbs: They really do want Canadian Healthcare and the Pentagon gone.

Now, this is a big mistake for the administration.  The hard leftists are the ones that get out there in campaigns.  They are the foot soldiers of the Useful Idiots.  They show up and volunteer to do all the nefarious things that the Democrats need to win.  Alienate them, and the game is over.  Looking at demographics (20-42-38) and polling, Obama has lost just about everyone except African Americans and the hard left.  Now, he risks loosing the hard left.  If he does that, a win could turn into a landslide…for the GOP.  Allowing Gibbs to basically tell them to STFU didn’t help.

So friends, fear not for my sanity or soul.  After having some mild sympathy for the left, I remembered that they are evil zombies bent on enslaving us, and got over it.

MattI believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Pretty much. I wish he would have called out Ubermoron. It would have been priceless to see him whine in response.

  • LD Jackson August 11, 2010 at 6:46 am

I think this is a classic example of just how thin skinned this administration is. They do not like criticism or competition, no matter where it comes from. Can you imagine the outrage there would be if the mainstream media started calling them out on their policies? Not that it will ever happen, but it’s a nice thought.

      The conniption would be legendary.

  • Steve Dennis August 11, 2010 at 6:49 am

Larry is right on! Barack Obama cannot take any criticism whatsoever, even if it is coming from his own side. He will try to tear down the opposition instead of debating them.
By the way, Robert Gibbs was right. The far left is crazy and should be drug tested! :)

Alinsky runs deep in the POTUS, and his advisers, The epic use of the rules would ruin the Dems and the MSM.

Gibbs makes a great point, these people do need to be drug test, just not for the reasons he thinks. The truth is many of his policies are identical to Bush.

How do you order that many drug tests?

LOL, it’s the drug test industry bailout!

While the GOP establishment might be our enemy. Sorta. They are our friends when you consider the alternative.

It would be wise to remember that when we go to bashing the Entrenched GOP establishment that hands victories to the hard left or the Democrats in general.

While not a fan of GWB I would surely rather have him in office then Obama just for the sake of damage control.

450 billion deficts is better then 1.5 trillion.

I know what you’re saying, but I do submit that there is more to it.

When the GOP last had control, they were overspending. They were doing big government nonsense. They did not stop the housing crisis before it started (and they could have). They grew the government. They blew smoke up our (conservatives) rectums every election cycle, only to return to DC and continue in their ways.

We haven’t forgotten that. We don’t like the socialism of Obama, but the socialism-lite of the GOP (in the past decade or so) isn’t good either. It’s slow vs past poison. The destination is the same, the time to get there is the only difference. We’re seeking people that will be Conservatives while the Congress is in session, just not on the campaign trail.

The GOP establishment stands in the way of that.

Robert Gibbs is the best press secretary ever.

He’s a chubby snobbish half-wit that pisses off everybody he comes into contact with.

    Heckuva job, Gibby.

I never thought I’d agree with anything he said. I guess you never know.

  • Karen Howes August 11, 2010 at 12:24 pm

    Good old Bobby!

Sounds like he’s the one who needs to be drug-tested… been hitting the crack pipe pretty hard, it seems.

Who knows? Maybe he missed his AM Kool-Aid dose?

  • Infidel de Manahatta August 11, 2010 at 2:49 pm

The hard left are not zombies. vampires, werewolves, transsexual accountants suffering from overbite and halitosis…..perhaps. But calling them zombies just insults zombies everywhere.

  • Matt
    Matt August 11, 2010 at 10:52 pm

That could be true, but what would the Zombies say?

Matt: Hallo Mr. Zombie. What do you think of this post?

    Zombie: BRAINS!!!

It’s kinda hard to read into to that.

  • John Carey August 11, 2010 at 11:26 pm

I personally enjoy watching them fly apart. The far left senses that America is waking up and becoming aware of their evil plan. They know their time is short and if Obama is not going to be more agressive at stealing our liberties then a pox on his house. Another solid post Matt!

Thanks John. It is fun watching their infighting. Then again, they probably think the same thing about the Tea Parties vs. the GOP.

Thanks, RR. I had seem that. It’s much appreciated!

@#$% them, i feel no pity for the hard left or the soft left. Once the dust settles, both are after the same objective to enslave the rest of us so we have to work to pay for some useless parasite who won’t. Ultimately both want control over us and to foist their liberal fascism upon us.

So as far as i’m concerned, stick it to them gibbs, why aren’t republicans piling it on too. Give them no quarter, show them no mercy, for they’ll give us none.

Oh and i think labeling them ‘professional’ is being kind, they’re more like a bunch of angry, incoherent, screaming, violent baboons.
