Conservative Hideout 2.0

If you were a child during the 70′s, you likely remember the work of Sid and Marty Krofft.  On Saturday morning, many of us would sit too close to the TV, and watch these poorly written shows.  Here are the opening credits for some of the shows I remember.

Enjoy the links, and support our friends.

Steve at America’s Watchtower has a post about Obama’s support of the ground zero mosque.

Harrison at Capitol Commentary reveals that the moonbats in San Fran Freako plans on banning Happy Meals.

Conscientiously Conservative asks, “When will the voters learn?”

Cubachi highlights the latest Stossel show.

Teresa has discussion on the Ground Zero mosque.

Texas Fred has a progress report on Afghanistan.

Wyblog asks the question, “Who was that mosqued man?”

Down Under on the Right Side reports that everyone prefers male bosses.

Karen at Eastern Right has a post about strange search queries.

Faithful In Prayer has the United States of Islam?

Innominatus is in a blog war.  If you have a blogger account, and you haven’t followed him, do so now.   Do NOT follow his opponent.

The Amusing Bunni has a Rule 5 Post.

Angel has a post on VJ day.  Featuring of all things, a kiss in.

The Robot has a post on the 70 openly socialist Congress critters.

Steve at Motor City times has links, and the Raptor.

Just a Conservative Girl has her regular Sunday Funnies.

King Shamus has the details of a blogger turned author.

Kristen questions Palin’s pick for a race, and the consequences.

Left Coast Resistance has announced the existence of a Magic Green Hat.

Liberty at Stake covers the left’s implosion.

The Conservative Lady has the trailer to the Obama Tax Hike movie.

John, at the Current, has a post about VJ day.

The Classic Liberal has some more excessive force, as well as some fake porkulus projects.

Maggie exposes the words of jihadis.

Manhattan Infidel has the breaking news that Mayor McCheese has been indicted!

Over at Nuke’s place, Swampie covers another death due to illegal immigration.

Ken is covering Obama’s support of the Ground Zero mosque.

LD at Political Realities also has debate on mosque.

Trestin asks the question, “Would You?”

Doug has links to Rule 5 links.  It’s the Babetacular!

Randy is showing how the Kool Aid causes mental illness.

Reaganite Republican has his weekly rendition of the Sunday Funnies.

Right Klik has the new Ten Buck Fridays poll. It will be up here by the end of the day.

Right This Way has a post on the beliefs of the Tea Party.

Start Thinking Right has details of a racially motivated murder.

Bob at TCOTS has some great Rule 5, as well as a spot on “Quote of the day.”

USA Watchman has the fact that  Harry Reid is an idiot.

While Sid and Marty Krofft deny drug use, these videos do point to that.  Come to think of it, it’s a wonder that we aren’t doing drugs for having watched these shows.

Happy Sunday folks!

Update: It’s been pointed out that I have left some of the shows out.  So, here are some more drug induced (or inducing) opening sequences.

Here’s a bonus.  Sid and Marty didn’t produce the show, but they made the costumes and the sets.

About Matt

I believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.

Fortunately for me, I seem to get a hair brained idea for the theme every week. Thanks for commenting, and I’m glad to include you.

  • Bob Belvedere August 15, 2010 at 7:55 pm

    Thanks, Matt.

All I can say about those Sid and Marty shows is that they prepared me for my first LSD trip a number of years later.

I would imagine that acid would be about the only thing to make those shows coherent…or not. Thanks for the comment Bob.

You’re welcome Trestin. I think most of the shows were waaaay before your time.

  • KingShamus August 16, 2010 at 8:51 am

Thanks for the linkage, Matt. You’re a good man.

I’m thinking ElectraWoman and DynaGirl could’ve been the “Xena: Warrior Princess” of the 70′s.

I know ElectraWoman is pretty damn hot.

      Matt August 16, 2010 at 10:10 pm

I actually was kinda hot for Dyna Girl. At least as hot as an 7 year old could be.

  • The Conservative Lady August 16, 2010 at 9:45 am

Thanks for including me in your Sunday Linkage.

      Matt August 16, 2010 at 10:11 pm

As I think of it, I never needed to do LSD. These shows did it for me. Kinda like a trip by proxy. Thanks, Sid and Marty!
