Pelosi Wants to Investigate Opposition to Ground Zero Mosque

I don’t know about you, but I’m frankly sick of the stories about the Ground Zero mosque.  However, I guess it’s about time I covered it. Here are some of the highlights…

• A group wants to build a mosque near Ground Zero.
• Muslims like to build mosques at the site of a victory of some sort.  The namesake of the proposed mosque, the Cordoba House, is such a site.
• This group refuses to disclose their funding.
• The Imam in charge refuses to renounce terror, and has been seen (and photographed) with some higher ups within the Hamas organization.
• The mosque is supposed to “bring people together,” yet infidels can’t go in.
• NY Gov. Patterson has offered state land to build the mosque at another location.
• The people in charge of the mosque project have told the governor, “NO U!”
• The POTUS spoke out in favor of the mosque.
• Then, the MSM spewed copious amounts of praise at the POTUS for his “leadership” in this matter.
• The POTUS took his statement back, exposing the MSM as the hacks they are.  Their more recent reports are a bit muffled, being under the bus and all.
• Reid came out against the mosque, but will that be like how he was for ending birthright citizenship…before he was against it?
• The leader of Hamas has agreed with the POTUS (at least his first statement), in that the mosque should be built.

I know I’ve probably missed a few details, but these are the highlights.  I really decided to cover it when I saw this report from the Washington Times.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, called for an investigation of those who are protesting the building of the Ground Zero Mosque on Tuesday. She told San Francisco’s KCBS radio:

“There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded,” she said. “How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we’ve been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City.” (h/t Kristinn)

Ah, Speaker Pelosi, in the interest in transparency, I agree that many things need to be investigated.  How about those Black Panthers? And while we’re at it, why don’t we investigate the people that killed the investigation?  While we’re on the whole looking at funding, why don’t we take a look at how ACORN funds all of its affiliates?  Why don’t we investigate who and what is funded by George Soros?  Let’s investigate all the groups that are busily calling me a racist, redneck teabagger!  Let’s investigate who happens to be funding the Ground Zero mosque!  Let’s investigate the “Tea Party” candidates that have nothing to do with the Tea Party.  Why does it appear that the Democratic party and the SEIU are putting them up?

I think you get the point.  Initially, I thought to write that “people that live in glass houses…”  However, this is such transparent BS, that the glass is gone.

Also, this is yet another example of projection.  They assume that since we share an opinion, and are vocal about said opinion, that we are being funded by some outside entity.  Speaker Pelosi, that is what the left does.  There is no one paying me to say anything.  If I were being paid, I’d be a wealthy man by now.  Trust me when I say I am not.  Believe what you say if it helps you sleep at night, but that isn’t going to change your impending demotion.

You can’t get much more transparent than that.
