  • Thanks for the linkage, Matt.

    • You’re very welcome!

  • Thanks for the link, Matt. Some of those commercials really take me back.

    • I know what you mean about the commercials. You’re welcome for the link.

  • Wow TV sure has changed. Thank for putting me on the list.

    • No problem Trestin. Yes, it has changed. A lot of the readers here are like me, we all grew up pre-personal computers, pre-cell phones, pre-cable tv, and pong was the pinnacle of technology.

  • Thanks for linking my post, Matt. It’s really sad what’s happening in Venezuela. I’m sure, though that people such as Sean Penn, are not going to change their views on Chávez whatever he does.

    • That is very true Claudia. Last week, I posted a video from the 80’s by a KGB defector that explained why folks like Penn do what they do, and what happens to them when there really is a communist revolution.

  • Thanks for the link Matt! I remembered a few of those commercials, but I really got a kick out of seeing the old computer games! We certainly have come a long way since then.

    • Yes, we have come a long way.

  • I love the old commercials.

    Thanks for the link!

    • It takes you back, doesn’t it?

  • Thanks…great work..10 for $5 Bucks..enjoyed it on a Sunday morning.

    • 50 cent gift certificates? That wouldn’t go far now, would it? Good thing there isn’t inflation. After all, teh gubmint said so! 😛

  • Great work on these commercials, man.

Also, thanks for the link back. Glad you dug my post.

Trestin did some good work on his original piece. I just had to pile on.

    • That was a good post. I also went back to Trestin’s, and it was excellent.

  • Thanks so much for the link. =)

    • No problem, FleeceMe!

  • luv the linky luv MATT!

    • You’re welcome Angel!

  • Thanks Matt. I hereby annoint you the commercial czar. Are you in advertising by any chance?

    • Nah, I’ve just noticed that a lot of the readers here are right around the same age, and remember these commercials. Sometimes, a trip down memory lane is a good thing. People seem to like the commercial thing.

  • Hi Matt! Wow, you have such a great post here with many, many wonderful links! You are really in the festive mood for the season.
Even SNOW, which I’m getting too much of now!

Thanks for linking me, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
The awful weather is keeping me out of the stores, so that is a good thing. The commericals were a great walk through memory lane.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

    • Thanks for the kind words Bunni. I hope you don’t get too snowed in!

  • Don

Thanks for the link, Matt. Those old commercials are awesome. Check out the 3 year old Corey Feldman in that McDonalds commercial!

    • I thought that was one of the Corey’s. You’re welcome for the link. That was a good one!

  • Smash up Derby. Those were great.

    • I’ve actually posted that commercial before. I had that toy, and loved it.

  • Matt, Burger King is still trying to get kids to eat those evil french fries. Before long, if MOTUS gets her way, ffs might be extinct. Won’t that be wonderful:-(

Thank you so much for the link. I hope your holiday season will be slowing down some (I know, that’s a ridiculous wish), and I hope you are feeling better now.

    • Thanks a lot Maggie. All is well now (until the kiddo brings more pestilence home from school).

MOTUS won’t be happy until we’re all eating tofu.

  • Thanks for the linkage, Matt. That was great seeing old Christmas commercials. Thanks for posting them.

    • You’re welcome Teresa.
