Irony Alert: Tucson Victim Blames Palin-Gets Arrested for Death Threats

Share

The other day, I saw the headline that one of the Tucson shooting victims was blaming Sarah Palin for the attack.  I thought that given the number of victims, and that Rep. Giffords is a Democrat, that there would be some hard leftists there that would do exactly that.  I also know that if any of the victims displayed a grasp of reality, that the MSM would ignore it anyway.  So, I left that story go.

Well, the hard leftist went out in public, and did what the left does…make death threats against Tea Party members.

For some background on the victim in question,  Eric Fuller here is an excerpt from Human Events…

You might be seeing a lot of Eric Fuller over the weekend.  He’s one of the people injured in Jared Loughner’s shooting rampage, taking rounds in the knee and back. He’s also a vicious bigot, and because he’s elderly and a military veteran, the Left is going to fall in love with him.

Fuller gave an interview with the Democracy NOW radio show, in which he said of the Tucson shootings: “It looks like Palin, Beck, Sharron Angle, and the rest got their first target.”  Presumably he’s not talking about Judge John Roll.

“Their wish for Second Amendment activism has been fulfilled,” Fuller ranted on, “senseless hatred leading to murder, lunatic fringe anarchism, subscribed to by John Boehner, mainstream rebels with vengeance for all, even 9-year-old girls.”  I didn’t realize the Second Amendment called for all those things.  They must be lurking in one of the penumbras or emanations.

Well, that’s some pretty normal rhetoric considering his political inclinations.  He engaged in a nonsensical diatribe-bereft of even the slightest grasp of reality.  As you might guess, he became the darling of the lefty blogosphere.  Of course, any disagreement with this man became yet another sign of “hate.”

Then, the situation descended into irony-induced hilarity.  For the covereage on that, here is an excerpt from KGUN9

That’s where the atmosphere turned tense.   When Tucson Tea Party founder Trent Humphries rose to suggest that any conversation about gun control should be put off until after the funerals for all the victims, witnesses say Fuller became agitated.  Two told KGUN9 News that finally, Fuller took a picture of Humphries, and said, “You’re dead.”

When State Rep. Terri Proud (R-Tucson) rose to explain and clarify current and proposed gun legislation in the state, several people groaned or booed her.  One of those booing, according to several witnesses, was Fuller.   Witnesses sitting near Fuller told KGUN9 News that Fuller was making them feel very uncomfortable.

The event wrapped up a short time later.  Deputies then escorted Fuller from the room.  As he was being led off, Fuller shouted loudly to the room at large.  Several witnesses said that what they thought they heard him shout was, “You’re all whores!”

Fuller, age 63, is a political operative who specializes in gathering petitions for ballot initiatives.   Before the program began, he passed out business cards to people sitting around him that read:
“Signatures
“Expediting Initiatives since 2006
“J. Eric Fuller
“Political Circulator.”

A Pima County Sheriff’s spokesman told KGUN9 News that the department has charged Fuller with one count of threats and intimidation, and said they plan to charge him with at least one count of disorderly conduct.  Humphries told KGUN9 News that he does plan to press those charges. (Emphasis mine)

So, let’s wrap this up; this guy is shot (which no one deserves, mind you).  As soon as he can get to some media, he blames Palin and other Conservatives for the attack.  Forget that there is no evidence anywhere that they had anything to do with it.  The lefties fawn over him.  Then, he goes to a public event, and threatens the lives of others, including a Tea Party organizer.  He DID do what the left is baselessly accusing Palin, Beck, and the Tea Parties of doing.

I couldn’t make this stuff up.  It seems that no matter the context, “progressives” can’t help but to show their true colors.

I’m sure he’ll get his own MSNBC show now that’s he’s been arrested.

Sadly, it’ll be with Allan Grayson.

Ever since the Tucson shootings, I’ve had the hinckies that the Left is attempting to promote violence by the Left’s demonizing of the Right.

Such violence would work in Obama’s favor. After all, if enough violence erupts, he can rule by martial law.

Maybe I’m borrowing trouble. But, like I said, I’ve got the hinckies.

BTW, BHO played his cards very well in some of what he said at the so-called memorial service. A lot of people took his words at face value, i.e., his calls for not blaming a particular ideology. Well, in my view, BHO is a snake in the grass and has ulterior motives in nearly everything he says.

I’m glad that this had crossed someone else’s mind. I’ve had the same thoughts as well. However, they were blaming Palin (I think) before they even had the name of the shooter. So, I think the blame game was some knee-jerk political opportunism.

I’m going Monday to file restraining orders on my neighbors. They have an Obama sticker on their car, which is as good an indication as any that they are planning a large scale rampage with guns upon innocent people.

    • http://conservativehideout.com Matt

That’s a good suspicion beamish. Especially if they haven’t had the shame to remove the offending sticker.

I have to go on the record and say that beamish’s neighbors are to blame if anything happens, including snow, rain, violence, or space alien invasion.

I read about this, but didn’t know he was a leftist nut.

“He DID do what the left is baselessly accusing Palin, Beck, and the Tea Parties of doing.”

Yeah, the irony bounced right off their thick skulls.

      Irony is great, isn’t it?

First, I’m glad I disconnected my cable, because the nonsense that surrounds this tragedy is nothing short of ridiculous.

This whole thing comes down to personal responsibility. Its a sad truth that there are people in this world that do terrible things, this man that took these lives and injured these people is responsible for his actions. Not Sarah Palin, although I don’t agree with her opinions at times.

No one forces anyone to do anything, once we start giving responsibility to celebrities, political figures for the actions of bad actions, then we are no longer free, and are simply robots of the system.

Cable just funnels 1000% grade A BS through you’re TV.

Their hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.

You know, I honestly think we need to get to the point that we aren’t surprised or amazed by the left. They’ve done it for years, and they aren’t going to stop.

      Thanks for stopping by.
