I set up an old computer for the kiddo today.  It had been sitting for a while, and I thought I might put her educational software on it.  She wanted a picture to use as her desktop, so I got into the the 7 year old Dell to get some pics for her.  It was there that I saw some old print ads that I had downloaded several years ago, and had left to rot in digital purgatory.  So, enjoy the ads, and hit the links.  There’s a really good collection this week.

We’re comin’ ta take yer IRISH CARD, laddie!

  • Thanks Matt. Neat stuff this week. $3,395 for an AMX? I just paid more than that for my daughters braces!

    • The 70’s, and especially Jimmy Carter, did a number on us with the inflation. What they didn’t do, federal regulation added on.

  • I’d forgotten the Matador. Thanks for the trip down AMC memory lane.

    • You’re welcome. I too had forgotten about these. I downloaded the pics 5 years ago.

  • Thanks for the links brother. Sorry I’ve been down and out with the update. I will certainly reciprocate. Things will get running smoothly in short order. I guess thats the price we pay for a “sporty car.”

    • You’re welcome, and no problem!

  • I always wanted an AMX, and a 304 Gremlin. *SIGH*

    • I always like the AMX as well.

  • I had a friend in high school with a gremlin, a car too. Thank you Matt for the roundup, and including me in it.

    • I had a friend with one too. It was a tough little car.

  • Thanks for the link Matt.

    • You’re welcome Steve. Keep up the great work at your place.

  • Thank you for the link.

    —————

I well remember those AMC cars. Great memories for me to look at these ads for AMC products.

    • You’re welcome AOW. And, I’m glad to have brought up some good memories.

  • Thanks for the link!

    • You’re welcome Martin!

  • Thanks again, Matt. Love the cars and I love the adjetive “Vintage”. I’ve decided that I am not old. I’m just a “vintage guy”.

    • That’s a great way of putting it Jim.

  • Great old AMC’s… How cool.

Growing up, one of my neighbors had a 69 AMX in perfect condition. That was one of the coolest cars I can remember.

    Thx for the link!

    • The AMX was perhaps the nicest looking car the AMC ever produced.

  • Thanks for the link Matt. I love the advertising pictures. Nice choice.

    • You’re welcome, and thanks!

Seriously, thank you very much. I am always honored to be a part of these roundups. There are a lot of great pieces up there. Muchas gracias, mi amigo.

    • You’re welcome KS. You do something right everytime you post.

  • Multi-TY’s Matt. I had completely forgotten American Motors.

    • Thank you Maggie. I had forgotten too, until I found those ads on the old hard drive.

  • As always, you are the man! Many thanks, my friend.

    • You’re very welcome Robot.

  • They don’t make ’em like that anymore – that’s for sure. Now, they all look the same, like deranged bugs. Thanks for the trip, Matt, and for the link. Oh, and for Boston.

    • No problem Bob. I aim to please.

  • wow..what a collection MATT!..thanks for includin me again!

    • No problem Angel. I’ve always loved your place.

  • Thanks for the link, Matt.

    • You’re welcome Larry.
