Site News: A New Conservative Hideout Site

Every now and again, I get the urge to do something a little different.  Last October, I introduced the Conservative Hideout Information Center.  The problem was that the site didn’t work all that well, and it didn’t take off.  So, I’ve been on a quest to make a site that a blogger can visit, and get most, if not all of the news and opinion of the day.

I think I may be on to something now.

Conservative Hideout Rapidfire is an aggregator.  There are currently twelve blogs involved, many that are associated with the Resistance.  This is what RapidFire does…

1.  All aggregated articles are perma-linked to its own Rapidfire post, which is an excerpt.

2.  Each post has a link to the original article, as well as to the homepage of the contributor.

3.  All posts are tweeted, and retweeted.  (All tweets are certified “Weiner Free”)

4.  The sidebars are filled with copious amounts of Conservative Goodness-feeds from many prominent sites.

Here is the current list of contributors…

As time wears on, I’ll create a Facebook page for the site, and do some other fun things to get the Conservative message out.

If you are interested in having your blog linked at RapidFire, drop a comment here, or at the stickie post at the top of RapidFire.

    1. Matt says:

Well, I strive to run a decent operation, so no Weiners!

    1. Matt says:

Thanks sir. I’ll try to get you set up tonight.

    2. Harrison says:

It’s “In like Flint” based on the James Colburn spoof movie.

  3. Steve Dennis says:

This is a great idea Matt! I would like to be involved, send me an email and I am in.

    1. Matt says:

I will do that in a bit Steve. Thanks!

  4. A good idea. And Weiner free!!

    1. Matt says:

Thanks sir. I thought it was time to take a stand against Weiners, and the Weiners they tweet. Together, we can stop Weiner’s Weiner from ever being tweeted again. Prevent your congressman from displaying his shortcomings today.

  5. Harrison says:

    You can count me in.

    1. Matt says:

And you are in sir. Thanks!

  6. Bob Mack says:

Sign me up, Matt. Always thought conservative bloggers needed an Associated Press to call their own.

    1. Matt says:

Took care of that earlier tonight. Thanks for participating.

  7. Don says:

Matt, your next project should be to petition the Big Guy upstairs for more hours in the day, my friend.

How in the heck do you do it??

    1. Matt says:

I had taken a couple days off from the day job, and started on it. It’s a WordPress install, so that part was easy. Configuring the aggregator and the theme were not so easy.

  8. Angel says:

Thanks for all the tweaks and updates Matt! ((hugs))

    1. Matt says:

Thank you Angel. Have a great weekend!

  9. Samiam60 says:
