Just like the mythical 99%, right? Just like the Tea Parties, aren’t they?
Not so much, apparently. Occupy Oakland displayed more of the mayhem and destruction that have been typical at Occupy events. Several sites have posts for this, so I’ll link back so you can see more.
You know, because 99% of the US population burns flags in a regular basis…while they’re invading city hall, right?
Because all totally peaceful and completely non-violent protesters bring their own riot shields and barricades to protests, right?
Remember when the Tea Parties did the exact same thing? Yeah, I don’t either.
At the very end you will see the Mayor acting genuinely confused over why these “peaceful protesters” would break in to city property, destroy a model of the city and wreck a bunch of children’s art which was on display.
Er, why is anyone surprised by this? This IS Occupy. One is only surprised by this when they have drank the Kool-Aid, and think that these would be terrorists are nothing more than peaceful reformers.
The Oakland City Administrator called today’s actions of the Occupy Goons “bullying by threats of violence and illegal activity“…said she would not be bullied.
The Occupy Oakland Thugs announced their intention to take over the Henry Kaiser Convention Center and turn it into a social center and political hub today. The criminals carried out their threat by marching through the streets and creating destruction and chaos along the way. Perimeter fencing was torn down and construction equipment was destroyed.
For a bunch of folks displaying peace signs, they aren’t very peaceful, are they?
All sarcasm aside, these people are violent, and they don’t appear to be going away. They are openly opposed to freedom, and they aren’t afraid to destroy property and attack police to move towards their goals. If they aren’t afraid to do any of these things to public facilities, businesses, or the police, they won’t be afraid of attacking you, your family, your children, your home, your work, or your church. Needless to say, I am increasing my preparations to defend myself, and others, against these people. At some point, it is distinctly possible that they will come after private citizens that oppose them. While I have no desire for a larger conflict, it may be forced upon us. If it is, so be it.
