Concerned that too many “deniers” are in the meteorology business, global warming activists this month launched a campaign to recruit local weathermen to hop aboard the alarmism bandwagon and expose those who are not fully convinced that the world is facing man-made doom.
The Forecast the Facts campaign — led by 350.org, the League of Conservation Voters and the Citizen Engagement Lab — is pushing for more of a focus on global warming in weather forecasts, and is highlighting the many meteorologists who do not share their beliefs.
“Our goal is nothing short of changing how the entire profession of meteorology tackles the issue of climate change,” the group explains on their website. “We’ll empower everyday people to make sure meteorologists understand that their viewers are counting on them to get this story right, and that those who continue to shirk their professional responsibility will be held accountable.”
According to the Washington Post, the reason for the campaign can be found in a 2010 George Mason University surveys, which found that 63% of television weathermen think that global warming is a product of natural causes, while 31% believe it is from human activity.
I love how they worded their plans. “Our goal is nothing short of changing how the entire profession of meteorology tackles the issue of climate change…” So, in other words, you are to get a steady stream of propaganda with your weather? Yes!
“We’ll empower everyday people to make sure meteorologists understand that their viewers are counting on them to get this story right, and that those who continue to shirk their professional responsibility will be held accountable.” To put it another way, “We’ll have people harass weathermen (and their stations) who refuse to endorse Climate Change The Big Lie, until they either agree to broadcast propaganda, or they are fired. To put it simply, they are going to use the Alinsky Method against weathermen.

I believe that future generations should have the same opportunities that myself, and those that came before me, had. My parents taught me that I could do anything I wanted to do. I don’t want to have to tell my daughter, “You can do whatever the government tells you to do.” We are at a crossroads in this country; are we going to be free, or are we going to be slaves to the nanny state. I choose freedom.
This is news to me because I thought this purge already occured, I guess they aren’t promoting it hard enough. I don’t know how it is in Pa. but on Boston talk radio we are assaulted with government PSAs all the time that tell us how to live and act and it is quite deisturbing because it feels like indoctrination, and now they want to promote a political agenda on the news. The constant messages from the government are quite Orwellian.
Apparently, as long as one weatherman has refused the Kool-Aid, they are not done.
