Well, it’s Sunday again, and I’m frankly still having a hard time grasping the scope of the recent school shooting. More and more is coming out about the killer, and it’s increasingly apparent that he was a very disturbed individual. Of course, the left didn’t even wait to see what was going on to start politicizing it. I guess this displays another vital difference between Conservatives and liberals. Liberals will take any opportunity to score political points, or misuse an event to justify a power grab. Conservatives weep for the dead, and pray for the survivors. We actually respond to the event with compassion-they cynically use it to promote an agenda. At any rate, here are the Sunday Links, as well as some pictures from my Facebook friends. The horrific shooting in Connecticut of those innocent babies has overwhelmed me. I can’t read about it, can’t watch news broadcasts about it without breaking down, knowing the anguish their parents and their community are suffering. You’re right about liberals, Matt — anything to fit an agenda, no matter how much lying, how much twisting and manipulation of facts are required. Thank you for the link, dear friend. Guns don’t kill people (as evidenced by the escalating number of knifings of young school children in China), people kill people. Evil people, soulless monsters – if they don’t have a gun, they’ll use another weapon. Deplorable and depraved – I pray for us all.

I admit that I’m down in the dumps over what happened in Newtown, Connecticut. Santa must indeed be weeping.
As I wrote, we protect our money better than our children. We put armed guards in front of our cash. We put video cameras and a school secretary in front of students.
It’s like our priorities are completely screwed up or something.

I am still in shock at what has happened in Connecticut. I am not in shock at how liberal gun control advocates are framing the debate. They have been predictable in their response to the deaths of so many children and adults. It is truly sad.

Thanks for the link Matt! This shooting is really hitting home to me. It turns out Lanza’s mother grew up and went to school in my town before moving when Adam was eight and her brother is a police officer here. TO think this could have happened at the school my boys went to all those years ago really makes me realize how lucky I am.
