I’ve been down with a bug most of the day, but I couldn’t let this pass. It possesses all the irony that any good political blog post needs-in more than ample supply. You’ll see as the saga unfolds…
Story 1: Chris Hayes Continues to Beclown Himself
The sad thing is that Hayes has no clue as to how ridiculous he makes himeself on a regular basis. He did it again on Monday…
On Monday’s All In show on MSNBC, host Chris Hayes fretted that “climate denialism” by the Republican party’s “right-wing base” is preventing “meaningful climate policy” from being enacted.
After showing clips of California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher at a Tea Party event mocking global warming alarmists, Hayes described the conservative gathering as “the future of the earth in peril,” and “the belly of the beast.” Hayes:
But the fear of a Tea Party primary challenge is endemic in the Republican party right now. And it’s making meaningful climate policy, among other things, completely unachievable in Washington. So what you’re seeing in this room at the Newport Mesa Tea Party Patriots monthly meeting is the future of the earth in peril. In this room, this, this right here, this is the belly of the beast.
Now, the whole “global warming is a liberal conspiracy” line is understandably a big hit among the conservative base, but in delivering that line, Congressman Rohrabacher tips his hand to the reasoning behind his global warming denialism, which basically goes like this: If global warming is real, then the government would need to intervene to fix it, but we don’t like government intervention. Therefore, global warming cannot be real.
OK, Hayes is lamenting the fact that we are not being made to live in thatch huts (except for prominent alarmists like Al Gore, who get to keep their many mansions). And, it’s all the fault of the Tea Party. Of course, he reports that deniers are a completely political phenomena, and attempts to reduce it to deficient logic. In other words, he engages in projection.
Story 2: What if Organizing for America had a climate rally, and no one showed up?
To correct these terrible deniers, that rely on facts, OFA determined that they were going have rallies to raise awareness regarding
global warming The Big Lie. Let’s just say that the results were completely underwhelming…
Meanwhile, in an event to call out the deniers, nobody showed up.
Not a single person showed up at the Georgetown waterfront Tuesday for a climate change agenda event put on by Organizing for Action, the shadowy nonprofit advocacy group born out of President Obama’s 2012 campaign, the NRCC wrote in its blog.
The event page for the “Climate Change Day of Action Rally” disappeared after rainy weather appeared to drive away whatever people planned to attend. The embarrassing showing follows the news that only one volunteer stayed for an OFA Obamacare event in Centreville, Va., last week to work the phones.
It begs the question; “what if the alarmists tried to brainwash the nation, and no one showed up?”
So, OFA wanted to tell us all how incredibly stupid we are, and that we need to submit to their plan to have us all live in thatch huts (with the notable exception of wealthy liberals and Al Gore). But, it seems that there was no enthusiasm for that venture. Kinda reminds me of the recent ObamaCare rallies. that no one bother showing up for.
OK, so far, we have Chris Hayes being a smug moonbat, and OFA engaging in massive failure. Now, we need to cap it all of with a double shot of the truth….
Story #3: Climate Data Shows
Global Warming The Big Lie, To be The Big Lie.
Every year, we are told that the prior year was the “warmest on record.” Of course, that is a blatant lie, but the latest climate report blows
Global Warming The Big Lie, right out of the water!
“If you think scientists just couldn’t get any more incompetent, then think again. NOAA scientists even appear to believe that cold events are now signs of warming,” Gosselin points out.
“When one carefully reads the report, we find that the NOAA findings actually do confirm precisely what the skeptics have been claiming all along:
1. The Earth has stopped warming.
2. The climate models exaggerated future warming [caused by] CO2 climate sensitivity is much lower than we first thought.
“That’s the real issue at hand,” he added.
The story at CNS News is long, and has a great deal of data. I would encourage you to read it in it’s entirety.
