What is this obsession with the rights of those referred to as LGBT? I understand and agree with the efforts to stop discrimination and abuse of these people. But, the Political Correctness Police are clearly after something more. Not only do they want that LGBT are accepted as “normal” and “equal”, it seems to this humble observer of the asylum we all have to live in that they want the general public to celebrate being LGBT as some kind special achievement. I’ve made my position clear many times. Being LGBT  is not normal. It is in fact abnormal and it is wrong to be teaching our children otherwise. LGBT make up no more than 2% of the populace. How can that be called normal. Abnormalities do occur in nature and that includes the human specie. Albinos are an abnormality. Dwarfs are an abnormality. People should not be discriminated against or abused for their abnormalities. Period! Why then is there no special interest group fighting to give special rights to albinos or dwarfs? Does President Obama take time out to call and congratulate the parents of a new-born albino baby? Does the military now allow  dwarfs in the military to march in parades that celebrates their dwarfness?

Clearly, the Political Correctness Police have other motives. We now have legalized gay marriage and their next goal will be to legalize polygamy. We are seeing efforts to classify pedophilia as just another sexual preference. The real goal is destroy what remains of America’s Judeo-Christian culture. The goal is eventually to change our concepts of right and wrong. Once achieved, there is nothing the nanny state won’t be able to do. The “collective” will be everything and the “individual” will be nothing. Americans will be living in Hillary’s village.

I recall some moths ago a school district, I believe in Oregon, introduced a program to eliminate the use of the pronouns: he, she, him, and her. Today I read in this Fox News story that the schools system in Lincoln, Nebraska, wants to do away with gender in the classroom; meaning that teachers will no longer refer to boys and girls as boys and girls.

The fine folks who run the school system in Lincoln, Neb., are on a campaign to make their classrooms gender-inclusive. And that means teachers will no longer refer to boys and girls … as boys and girls.

“Don’t use phrases such as ‘boys and girls,’ ‘you guys,’ ‘ladies and gentlemen,’ and similarly gendered expressions to get kids’ attention,” reads a handout from the Lincoln Public Schools that was given to teachers.

{…}

So instead of asking boys and girls to line up as boys or girls, teachers have been encouraged to segregate the children by whether they prefer skateboards or bikes, or whether they like milk or juice.

“Always ask yourself, ‘Will this configuration create a gendered space?’” the handout stated.

The handout, provided by Gender Spectrum, a website which “provides education, training and support to help create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for children of all ages” does not explain what to do if all of the children like juice or skateboards. But it does suggest teachers “create classroom names and then ask all of the ‘purple penguins’ to meet at the rug.”

To illustrate its point, the district provided an illustration of a gingerbread man. There I go again. How insensitive of me. It’s a gingerbread person. But for the sake of the teachers, the illustration was called a “genderbread person.” Clever, right?

When, at least, one parent objected by sending of an email to other parents, a school official had this response:

One school district official rejected her argument and said it was not pushing a political or religious agenda. Nor was it pushing a sexual preference on people.

“Part of education in addition to academics is the feeling of welcomeness, the relationship piece,” district official Russ Uhing told the newspaper.

Friends, this is a very slippery slope the Political Correctness Police are taking us down. Nothing good will come from this. I hope, but am not confident, that America’s parents will wake-up and put an immediate stop to this dangerous plan to change America.

Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?
