Desecration of the flag is nothing to get worked up over. The only problems that are at issue are two: whose property is the flag that is being used, and are they in violation of AlGore’s environmental protection scheme? (OK, that second one doesn’t count.)

We need to be vigilant in protecting our liberties, not worrying about how someone spends their time and money trying to draw us away from the issues to being all shook up because they are stomping on a flag. We tend to behave like Muslims with their prophet – not good.

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion…

      • ManfredtheWonderDog

Yes, Don , everyone even has an opinion. Some have facts that their opinions are based on, others have presuppositions that are never examined.

And some people think that the symbols of our country stand for something.

          • ManfredtheWonderDog

It’s the Constitution that matters, not the flag. And if you research the origin of the pledge, you will find it has communist underpinnings. No flag commands allegiance – the ideals upon which the country was founded do.

I yield to your superior intellect. It must be nice to know everything.

          • ManfredtheWonderDog

The is One alone Who knows everything, and I am not He. Your sarcasm shows you care not for a truthful conversation. Pity.

          • Don King

And your condescension shows you care for no other opinion save your own. More’s the pity

          • ManfredtheWonderDog

So you think stated an opinion or view different from yours in condescension? Must be difficult in your world.

          • Don King

No sir, not at all, Manfred. You and I’ve gone round on the eligibility issue and no matter how many statutes and laws I point to, you concede nothing.

On this issue, I happen to think that our flag is worth protecting and treating with dignity and respect.

You said, “Some have facts that their opinions are based on, others have presuppositions that are never examined.”

When it comes to the desecration of the flag, you stated only your opinion, then you compared patriots that protect that flag to muslims who protect mohammed.

I see no fact backing that up.

Manfred, just because you think or feel something, doesn’t mean you are always right.

But go ahead, I’ll allow you to have the last word on this. Trying to get you to concede that others can be right who disagree with you is akin to trying to get blood from the proverbial stone.

There are no laws regarding the flag – there is a guide. It is a symbol and it is merely a piece of property. If I buy a flag I can do with it as I like. It does not belong to anyone else and the government cannot charge me with a crime, unless I pollute their god.

False patriots who want to prosecute people who treat their property which happens to be a flag are acting exactly like Muslims who cannot stand people making drawings of their prophet. Both side are outraged over the opinions of others.
