The Year That Was: 2013, Top Stories

I think it would be safe to say the 2013 was a very strange year. From beginning to end, it supplied the conservative blogosphere with enough controversy, insanity, and flat-out moon battery to keep both writer and reader quite busy. So, off the top of my head, here are my thoughts on some of the top stories of 2013.   Our first story, and the one most covered here the Conservative Hideout, is ObamaCare. We predicted doom, gloom, and absolute failure for president Obama signature legislation. Let’s just say that it did not disappoint. We saw more job losses, hours […]

Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!  Here is the reason for the season, so to speak… 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. 2:2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 2:3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 2:5 To […]

Memorial Day 2013 – A Thank you for the Ultimate Sacrifice

Last year, I wrote a Memorial Day article and posted it on my blog. Here it is, and after I revisit that article, I would like to add a thought or two to it. As we mark Memorial Day this year, let us reflect on why we set aside one day to show our gratitude to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to preserve our freedoms and the American way of life. United States soldiers have gone into battle in each and every corner of the world to meet the call and pay the price for […]

Rare May Snowstorm Hits US: Climate Alarmists Silent

With several areas of the US being covered in a foot thick blanket of snow global warming the big lie, the climate alarmists appear silent.  How, in the age of global warming, can we be having such a major May snowstorm? FOX News has the info.. DENVER –  People in parts of Colorado and Wyoming pulled puffy jackets, hats and umbrellas out of the closet again Wednesday for another round of wet spring snow. The May Day snow storm was making travel difficult on Interstate 70 in Colorado’s mountains and along Interstate 80 in southeastern Wyoming, but the snow wasn’t […]

CPAC 2013 Video: Sarah Palin Lights up Crowd

Since I cannot be a CPAC, I can post some CPAC 2013 Video.  Here is Sarah Palin lighting up the crowd.

Happy Year 2013! We’re in Trouble!

I’d like to take the moment to wish everyone a Happy New Year.  However, I might want to add that my wish is by no means a guarantee.  I fear that 2013 is going to be a terrible year, and it will result in hardships of all sorts.  Here are some of my reasons… 1.  Fiscal Cliff jumping:  It appears that we are going to go off  the “fiscal cliff.”  What does that mean?  It means that Obama’s negotiating position was “give me exactly what I want, and nothing less.”  The members of the stupid party, however, made many concessions, […]
