“Hundreds of agencies, departments, programs, task forces, and commissions are an arsenal that in the wrong hands can be used against the very freedom the government is supposed to uphold, protect and defend. Rest assured, it’s in the wrong hands.” — Thomas J. Basile The federal government — at least, the Executive branch, half of the Legislative, and only God knows how much of the Judiciary — has fallen Red-handed into the clutches of the sons (and assorted daughters) of Saul Alinsky, the uncarded Windy City communist who infamously dedicated his subversive rulebook to that evil gadabout Old Nick, better […]
I’ve been discussing #FreeKate as another liberal movement, as determined by what they do. They do no disappoint. For the latest example let’s review Alinsky’s Rule # 13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Since #FreeKate is a liberal entity, they are reality challenged. They’ve had to lie about the ages of both Kaitlyn hunt and her victim. They hid the fact that Kaitlyn was still in contact with the victim, even as they were asking donors for money. They were not honest about the fact the Kelley Hunt Smith, the alleged sexual offender’s mother, contacted […]
Isn’t it funny that when given the free choice, most workers choose NOT to join unions? Well, that seems to be the case in Wisconsin, ever since Scott Walker signed ACT 10. We covered that extensively back in 2010, as the unions did not at all want that passed. Now, we know why. When given that choice, workers say “no” to the union bosses. Right Wisconsin has more… MNS – Just two years after the passage of Act 10, Governor Scott Walker’s reform of the collective bargaining law in Wisconsin, new reports filed with the federal government show a dramatic […]
And the liberal lie smear game just keeps on coming. Former Clinton adviser and current Obama minion, David Axlerod, is suggesting that the President himself thinks that “tax day” is the motivation for the Boston Marathon bombing. As you can see, this was another Alinsky type attack. It was a bit more subtle. It was like saying, we really don’t know, but it was tax day, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, and David Axelrod is an expert at it. Welcome to the post reality world! You can support the CH2.0 with your Amazon purchases, at no additional expense!
It seems that socialists and teachers (union) were marching in Chicago, or do I repeat myself? But, in all seriousness, it’s getting warmer, so we will see a spike in union activity, and union violence (This must be repetition day at the CH 2.0) At any rate, people are not supposed to film socialists and teachers, and Jesse Jackson, because the guy that did got some Alinsky for his trouble. Here is the video, via Publius Forum… It’s really priceless. From the juvenile penis comments, to telling the one ethical person there to “not snitch,” these so called adults showed […]
When Obama voters apologize they really ought to consider their safety. But, before I get to that, here is he story… A full-page Mitt Romney campaign ad in today’s Cedar Rapids Gazette takes the form of an open letter from 13 Iowans who say they voted for President Barack Obama in 2008 but regret their choice and won’t do so again in 2012. The letter is phrased as an apology, and lays out a case for why Romney, the Republican nominee is a better choice this time around. “Mitt Romney will deliver the real recovery that President Obama has failed to bring, […]
Since my post late last evening, there have been some more developments in the Aaron Walker/Brett Kimberlin story. First off, Walker himself posted on the matter… So anyone following along on twitter know the basics. I was SWATted tonight. My wife was down in the basement, and unknown to me she had fallen asleep in an uncomfortable position while watching TV. I was just finishing up a post where I was going to share Kimberlin’s nutty response to my motion for a partial stay when someone decided to recklessly endanger my life. I mean again. Let’s not forget the last time […]
It seems that the Union bosses are pulling the plug on team Obama for 2012. Is it due to the fact that the DNC and Obama threw the unions under the bus in Wisconsin? The Lid has more… The AFL-CIO has told USA News and World Report that it’s moving money from political candidates even though its right in the middle of election season. This represents another blow to the Obama campaign which is already way behind its fundraising goals. The labor union says this shift was planned for a long time and has nothing to do with the fact […]
While I was at the day job, there were quite a few developments in the Brett Kimberlin story. The Other McCain has a great starting point for today’s coverage… FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION Very busy today, awaiting developments on The Kimberlin Files. However, Da Tech Guy cleverly points out that CNN allowed Arlette Saenz of ABC to beat them on reporting this story, even though the reported SWATting of CNN on-air personality Erick Erickson was a central element of the story. For that matter, CNN contributorDana Loesch is well-informed about the Kimberlin story, and could put CNN’s reporters in direct contact with […]
If you recall, Ali Akbar is an activist that runs the National Bloggers Club, an organization that defends bloggers from those who would harass and silence them. I covered this during Everyone Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day. The Other McCain has a link to a site devoted to defending bloggers hit with harassing, frivolous legal actions… The National Bloggers Club has been a valuable ally in supporting and defending bloggers targeted by harassment and intimidation. Today is “Everybody Blog Brett Kimberlin Day.” I join with National Bloggers Club president Ali Akbar in sincerely requesting that readers concerned about defending First Amendment rights online visit the club’s special […]
Apparently, making a political point means intimidating people that might disagree with you. The “palestinians” have learned that from the Alinskyites, and is putting it into practice at Atlantic University. GateWay Pundit has more… This is a harassment. The radical Palestinian students should be expelled. YNet reported: Some 200 Jewish students attending Atlantic University receive fake eviction notice sent by pro-Palestinian activists More than 200 Jewish students attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, were surprised to find “eviction notices” posted to their dorm room doors on Friday. The students later found out that the fake notices were placed by the Students for […]
President Obama is a bully. Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior manifested by the use of force or coercion to affect others, and this is exactly what President Obama is attempting to do with his latest speech in which he darkly threatened the Supreme Court regarding their impending decision regarding Obamacare, saying I’m confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress. His behavior, as I have demonstrated on this blog repeatedly, is bullying, especially because it is habitual in nature (done many […]
I’ve been thinking about the current political climate, as well as history, both recent and more remote. What we are seeing today is nothing new, it’s all happened before-a few are trying to dominate the entire population, and far too many average citizens have no idea what is really happening. So, I thought it might be a good idea to discuss what is going on now. I look at OWS, the unions, as well as the multitudes of small organizations that are meant to Cloward-Piven the Republic. I consider that OWS participants number in the thousands, or perhaps the low […]
Over the last several years, I have been fighting my own brand of war against those people who are the enemies of freedom and liberty. My style of fighting is to write about freedom and liberty; to discuss and expand on the ideas found in our founding documents; and attempt to apply to modern day policies the principles of protection of life, support of liberty, and protection of property. And those who oppose me have also been fighting me. But unlike my style of warfare, the thugs who oppose me rely on intimidation, threats, attempts to damage my property, and […]
We’ve been dissecting the activities and tactics of Occupy Wall Street for some time now. We’ve exposed their efforts to create another “Kent State,” by attacking police. We’ve shown them using children as human shields, and attacking people that disagree with them, or even trying to record their activities. Right along those same lines are their efforts to derail free speech by disrupting events that they do not like. They have a game plan: 1. Infiltrate an event. 2. Disrupt the event so thoroughly, that the opposition cannot speak. 3. And, if anyone tries to stop them, they claim to be the victims. For the […]
Some of you might remember that when I started the Conservative Hideout (almost three years ago), that it was a forum. The blog came later, as I wanted something to do until the forum took off (that and some prodding from Snarky Basterd). Little did I know at the time that the blog would become my main pursuit. So, the forum sat, mainly unused and forlorn. Then, a few weeks ago, John, from the Sentry Journal, had an idea. What if there were a place for actual debate to occur? Where leftists and Conservatives could actually discuss issues openly. Now […]
“There’s nothing I like less than bad arguments for a view that I hold dear” – Daniel Dennett A good friend of mine, one whom I never enjoy being on the opposite end of an argument with, explained to me that in order to properly argue for a belief that you hold true, you should not only want to present good arguments, but deny bad arguments. It seems simple enough, but in practice we consistently fail – especially in politics. Politics has become a cesspool for talking points and half truth rhetoric. Few actually know the principles or intricacies behind the topic they are […]
Just when you think that the occupods would go away, they keep committing crimes. There was some action from the occupods near the New Years Holiday, so it bears examining. Flag Burning at Occupy Charlotte: It would seem that the occupods don’t like the country, and it’s symbols, as much as they say they do. Police Officer Subject of Occupod “Wanted Poster” Police will not only be abused at work. They will also be harrassed at home… ALBANY — Police are taking steps to protect an Albany police officer whose family has received threats after he was publicly identified for […]
A few months ago, I posted videos highlighting Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. These videos, originally posted by Campus Reform, are a great resource. They have released some more, so here are videos covering Rules 5-8. These are great tools, and I would argue that they are even more powerful in the hands of Conservatives and Libertarians, who tend to use truth.
I wonder if the Occupods realize that insulting people, or otherwise getting in the way of people doing what they want, doesn’t exactly win their “hearts and minds.” Given the events of yesterday, probably not. The Occupods tried to disrupt Black Friday, and it seemed to be rather counter-productive, given some of the video footage. Here is some coverage from GateWay Pundit… Then, here is some more from Labor Union Report… I think that in the long run, the Occupods are going to find that using Alinsky on the entire consumer base is just going to tick people off.
From Powerlineblog: The Obama administration’s energy policies have been a disaster, assuming that American decline is not your objective. We have written many times about the administration’s efforts to suppress development of our oil resources, but coal is equally important. The United States is blessed with extraordinary deposits of coal, but Obama is determined to prevent us from using it to generate cheap and plentiful electricity. Obama wasn’t kidding when he said, as a candidate, that his policies would cause electricity prices to “skyrocket.” U.S. News reports that Obama’s EPA is promulgating regulations that will cause hundreds of thousands of […]
Earlier, we saw the lefty professors from University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) and University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) advocating violence as a standard operating procedure. Next, you’ll see some classic Alinsky styled intimidation… I think the video speaks for itself. We’ve been noting that the “progressives” don’t even bother to hide their affiliation and plans anymore. I don’t know if this is hubris, stupidity, or both, but it gives us an incredible opportunity to let the public see what these folks are really all about. I would encourage everyone to make these videos viral, and archive them. I don’t think the […]
I believe it is the Chinese curse that reads, “may you live in interesting times.” Well, we’re certainly cursed. And perhaps no more so than in Madison, Wisconsin, where the Tea Party will be holding a rally featuring Sarah Palin. It was announced yesterday that former Alaskan Governor and John McCain running mate Sarah Palin will be keynote speaker at the Annual Madison Tax Payer Tea Party Rally. The rally is set to begin at noon on the capitol lawn and will include James T. Harris as emcee, the Rockstar of Radio: Vicki McKenna, John Fund of the Wall Street Journal, Tony Katz of Pajamma Media, and […]
