Sons Of Alinsky

“Hundreds of agencies, departments, programs, task forces, and commissions are an arsenal that in the wrong hands can be used against the very freedom the government is supposed to uphold, protect and defend.  Rest assured, it’s in the wrong hands.”
Thomas J. Basile

The federal government — at least, the Executive branch, half of the Legislative, and only God knows how much of the Judiciary — has fallen Red-handed into the clutches of the sons (and assorted daughters) of Saul Alinsky, the uncarded Windy City communist who infamously dedicated his subversive rulebook to that evil gadabout Old Nick, better known as the Devil — the same entity that the current President of the United States apparently works for.

Obama taught workshops on Alinsky’s theories and methods for years and in 1985, he started working as a community organizer for and Alinskyite group called, “Developing Community Projects.” While building coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama was criticized for not attending church and decided to become an instant Christian. (Obama, Hillary Clinton, Saul Alinsky and Rules For Radicals)

Obama Organizes For AmericaJust add holy water and stir, eh, Barry?  But it wasn’t consecrated H²0 that Obama absorbed in order to re-hydrate his political ambitions; it was liberation theology bile secreted by the anti-semitic “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright.Helluva Good Country

Actions always speak louder than words, especially when the words are uttered by a magic Christian with a glib and permanently forked tongue, and the activities of Obama’s left-wing, Islamophilic administration have made America a far poorer nation — morally, fiscally, and civically — than it was prior to his ill-conceived ascension. But such is generally the case when unchecked radicalism usurps common sense, tradition, and steady progress.  Just ask Citizen Louis Capet, formerly known as King Louis XVI, the 45,000 victims of the French “National Razor,”  or any one of the millions slaughtered over the years by socialist revolutionaries acting under the color of “executive order.”

Happily, the reign of the Alinskyites has not turned lethal, lest you happen to own one of the names on Obama’s disposition matrix or you’re one of the sick unfortunates likely to expire due to the restrictions imposed by the legislative kill pill known in the lexicon as Obamacare; unhappily, the Sons of Alinsky still have 3 years in which to wreak the remainder of their “progressive” havoc. And though Barack Obama’s term of office may expire, Old Nick will be around forever.  And he seems to be a Democrat.

“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”

Edmund Burke

First off, I’d like to apologize for being cryptic the other day.  I really do hate when people do that, particularly bloggers.  However, here is where I explain what I’ve been up to, and how that applies to #FreeKate, now #KatesFight.

As I have been indicating on Twitter, sources have been coming to me with the inner workings of #FreeKate, including their admins.  I had been posting screencaptures of those, and will continue to do so.  In fact, I still have tremendous amounts of information that I have not had the opportunity to read fully, which explains my decreased posting.   I have also been given information regarding the potential misuse of money obtained in the fundraising efforts of #FreeKate.  Consequently, the IRC Sheriff’s office was notified that I held potential evidence, and they reached out to me.  After phone and email communications with their office, I have forwarded information to them.  I do not know at the time of this writing how useful that information will be, but I gladly sent it along, and, I will likely send even more, as it becomes available.

I did that, and openly state it, with the full recognition that it will result in retaliation from the #FreeKate or #KatesFight crowd.  Much of my recent coverage of that movement has been in comparison to other liberal movements that use Alinsky tactics to silence, smear, or otherwise punish anyone who exposes them, or even disagrees with their narrative.  So far, they have performed as predicted.  And, I project that they will continue to do so.

So, why all this then?  Why go over all of this?  Too many times, good, well meaning people are punished into silence by regressive tactics.  Businesses are forced to close.  People are bullied and intimidated.  Some are terrorized in their own homes and business.  All because #FreeKate or #KatesFight, like other liberal entities, use bully/mob tactics to silence dissent, as they can’t withstand it.  With all of the lies told by the Hunt family and their supporters, they HAVE to threaten and silence people that mention the truth.  Their cause collapses in the face of facts (an upcoming post will expand on that). As for myself, not only have I stated the facts of the case, I have supplied law enforcement with potential evidence.   That means that they likely will have to redouble any efforts against me, as they don’t want others to come forward and hand over their evidence to the police as well.  In other words, they might try and make an “example” out of me.

I know that there are people that are holding even more evidence against the Hunts, but are in fear for their personal safety.  I have relayed that fact to the IRC Sheriff’s office as well (I have not given them names).  I hope that by making a public stand, and weathering whatever nonsense comes my way, that the others will come forward as well.  It only takes a few people to make a stand, and others answer the call to get involved.

Another, and perhaps more personally, I have little room for bullies in my world,  I have spent years of my life advocating for bullied teens.  When I see how the #FreeKate movement has treated the Smith family, blaming them and their minor daughter for behavior of an adult, I am alarmed.  When I see that they dig up “dirt” on their victim’s mother, the detective investigating the case, and people that expose their lies, I recognize their Alinsky tactics.  And, if we continue to allow these tactics to work, they will continue to be used-not just by #FreeKate, but by other entities as well.  The fact of the matter is that if enough people stand up to the bullies, their tactics will not longer work.

So, I will stand against the lies, the threats, and the thug tactics.  I refuse to be silenced, and give the bullies of the world an easy win.  I am not a victim, nor will I allow myself to be one.  For every tactic that is used against me, there will be a post explaining it.  I will display their activities to all who want to read it.  I will not advocate violence, or encourage others to engage in it.  The truth is the sharpest sword, and that will be my “weapon” of choice.   The world needs to know what their tactics are about, and why people use them.  It’s actually an incredible opportunity to expose leftist bullying tactics to the greater world.  So then, #FreeKate, or #KatesFight, or whatever you’re calling yourselves these days; do your worst.  I’m not going to lay down, and I’m going to document every dirty move you make.  I am not your typical target.  I know your tactics.   I will not cower.  I will not be goaded into stupid threats and counter-threats.   I will not be silenced.

#FreeKate Update: Insider Information on Accusing the Accusers

Alleged Sex Offender Kaitlyn Hunt in Court

I’ve been discussing #FreeKate as another liberal movement, as determined by what they do.  They do no disappoint.  For the latest example let’s review Alinsky’s Rule # 13:

“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Since #FreeKate is a liberal entity, they are reality challenged.  They’ve had to lie about the ages of both Kaitlyn hunt and her victim.  They hid the fact that Kaitlyn was still in contact with the victim, even as they were asking donors for money.  They were not honest about the fact the Kelley Hunt Smith, the alleged sexual offender’s mother, contacted the victim, and instructed her to “delete everything.”  They even apparently lied about Kaitlyn Hunt being on the school’s basketball team.  In fact, it is thought that the release of the arrest affidavit as well as the release of the rather graphic Notice of Violation of Conditions of Pretrial Release, were to set the record straight, as the Hunt family and their supporters were lying so incredibly much.  You can go to Support Honesty to see the full description of all the lies told.

This, once again, is common liberal tactic-to lie constantly.  But, when telling lies, people need to also attack people that are telling the truth, or might expose the truth.  And, since they cannot deal with the truth itself, they will attack and attempt to discredit the truth tellers.  If you make anyone with real information a “hater,” then you invalidate their information.  After all, who listens to a “hater?”  It’s accuse the accusers!

That’s where Alinsky’s  Rule 13 come in.  By conducting an onslaught against a target, who happens to be a truth teller, they get to discredit them, put them on the defensive, or even silence them altogether.  We saw that right from the start, with Kelly Hunt Smith’s Facebook tirade, during which she name the victim’s parents many times, and referred to them in the following ways…

James and Laurie Smith wouldn’t give up. They were out to destroy my daughter, they feel like my daughter “made” their daughter gay. They are bigoted, religious [zealots] that see being gay as a sin and wrong, and they blame my daughter.

James and Laurie Smith have forced the State Attorneys office to go thru with felony charges and are trying to ruin my daughters life. This is insane. This should have never been a legal matter, it is a family matter.

They are trying to send an innocent young girl to prison because they are full of hate and bigotry.

In a new development, I’ve been contacted by an individual who is deep within the Free Kate Facebook page.  This individual has become disgusted with the behavior of the Hunt family, and is releasing formation within that page so the public can see it.  So, here are some additional screen captures, reputed to be from the Free Kate Community, that show them researching the background of the mother of the victim, Laurie Smith, as well as the Detective, Jeremy Shepherd, investigating the crime  These are as they were given to me-with one exception: I removed any unproven information that might damage Mrs. Smith.  Given the lies of the Hunts, I cannot trust anything #FreeKate uncovered.  My edits are the black rectangles, other edits were done before I received the images.  Their accusations against the Detective Shepherd have already been posted to twitter, so I made no effort to hide them.

Screencaps of #FreeKate investigating victim’s mother…

investigate victim's mother 2a

investigate victims mother 5a Note that Kelly Hunt Smith is allegedly directly involved in these conversations…

investigate victims mother 6a investigate victim's mother 8aNote that Kelley Hunt Smith is allegedly directing people to dig up “dirt” on the mother of her daughter’s victim.

Screencaps of “Investigation” of  Detective Shepherd who investigated the case against Kaitlyn Hunt.  These have not been altered (by me) in any way…

investiogate cop 2investigate cop3investigate cop 7So, they were attempting to obtain personal information about the victim’s mother, as well as the Detective investigating the crime.  That leads to several questions…

1.  Was this meant to discredit the victim’s mother, as well as Detective Shepherd?

2.  Or, was this information collection meant to extort the victim’s mother into dropping the charges, or to get Detective Shepherd off the case?  Extortion is an ugly word, but as I covered the other day, it’s not uncommon in liberal circles.

3.  Why is #FreeKate working so hard on accusing the accusers, rather that preparing a defense for their daughter?  Or, do they have no real defense?

4.  Please look carefully at the last screencap.  The last message on that screencap indicates that “Julia” needs information on Detective Shepherd.  Is that “Julia,” Julia Graves, the Hunt family attorney?  And if it is, is it appropriate for a criminal defense lawyer to ask an on-line community to dig up personal information on the Detective investigating her client?

In the end, the Hunts and #FreeKate are following Alinsky’s Rule #13 in order to put the focus on others, rather than on their own evil behavior.  The other purpose is to keep pressure on their targets, until they get tired of fighting, and relent.

There are a lot more questions for not only the public to look at, but also the Prosecution.

I have more information, so this is the first in a series of posts about the inner workings of #FreeKate, where “Stop the Hate” is apparently only a slogan.

Updated, as I posted the first name of the victim’s mother incorrectly.  Thanks for the folks on Twitter for finding it!

Unions: So Great, People Have to be Forced to Join-Union Membership Down 60% Under Scott Walker

union thug

Isn’t it funny that when given the free choice, most workers choose NOT to join unions?     Well, that seems to be the case in Wisconsin, ever since Scott Walker signed ACT 10.  We covered that extensively back in 2010, as the unions did not at all want that passed.  Now, we know why.  When given that choice, workers say “no” to the union bosses.  Right Wisconsin has more…

MNS – Just two years after the passage of Act 10, Governor Scott Walker’s reform of the collective bargaining law in Wisconsin, new reports filed with the federal government show a dramatic drop in the membership of at least two Wisconsin unions. One union in particular, Wisconsin AFSCME Council 48, saw a 61% drop in its membership since the passage of Act 10.

Prior to Act 10, certain public sector employees were required to be a member of a union and forced to pay union dues. Once Act 10 was implemented, collective bargaining was limited to wages and each union is required to hold an annual certification vote. With this new found freedom, many public employees seem to be giving union membership a no confidence vote and opting instead to save their money rather than continue paying union dues.

Now, this might explain why unions resort to violence when anyone tries to interfere with their control over the workers.  Remember these items?

David Axelrod States the Obama Thinks That Boston Marathon Bombing Related to “Tax Day”

And the liberal lie smear game just keeps on coming.  Former Clinton adviser and current Obama minion, David Axlerod, is suggesting that the President himself thinks that “tax day” is the motivation for the Boston Marathon bombing.

As you can see, this was another Alinsky type attack.  It was a bit more subtle.  It was like saying, we really don’t know, but it was tax day, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, and David Axelrod is an expert at it.

Union Violence in Chicago

union thug

It seems that socialists and teachers (union) were marching in Chicago, or do I repeat myself?  But, in all seriousness, it’s getting warmer, so we will see a spike in union activity, and union violence (This must be repetition day at the CH 2.0)  At any rate, people are not supposed to film socialists and teachers, and Jesse Jackson, because the guy that did got some Alinsky for his trouble.  Here is the video, via Publius Forum…

It’s really priceless.  From the juvenile penis comments, to telling the one ethical person there to “not snitch,” these so called adults showed less integrity or maturity that the children they are supposed to be teaching.  Then again, kids in the Chicago schools aren’t performing all that well, are they.  I guess it should come as no surprise.  It’s the Parents vs. the Children again, and as usual, the children are throwing a tantrum.

Student Sues School for Bullying: Was Abused and Threatened After Wearing Romney/Ryan Shirt to Class

For all of the talk about bullying, Conservatives get left out of the mix.  For the proof, take a look at this video, via Gateway Pundit…

See, bullying is bad, unless you belong to the following “categories”…

1.  Conservatives

2.  Christians

3.  Jews

4.  Tea Party members

5.  NRA members

You see, “anti-bullying measures” are meant to protect liberals from dissent (yes, they might protect some poor kids from general abuse-at least while someone is actually looking, but that is another story).  Anyone who disagrees with the regressive agenda are still subject to discrimination, abuse, death threats, violence, and the like. After all, Saul Alinsky was the master bully, and they left isn’t about to throw out that playbook.

Obama Voters Publicly Apologize!

When Obama voters apologize they really ought to consider their safety.  But, before I get to that, here is he story…

A full-page Mitt Romney campaign ad in today’s Cedar Rapids Gazette takes the form of an open letter from 13 Iowans who say they voted for President Barack Obama in 2008 but regret their choice and won’t do so again in 2012.

The letter is phrased as an apology, and lays out a case for why Romney, the Republican nominee is a better choice this time around.

“Mitt Romney will deliver the real recovery that President Obama has failed to bring, he’ll get Americans working again, and he’ll turn our economy around,” the letter says.

You’ll have to go to the Des Moines Register to see the rest (link above), including the ad itself.

I have to say that the people that agreed to apologize are most brave.  I wonder if they are aware that death threats, harassment  and intimidation are often used against anyone who publicly comes out against anything regressive.  We’ve covered that extensively here.  Here are some links…

I have to admire the people in the add.  They do have some guts to potentially expose themselves to the Alinsky Method.  Time after time, people that make public stands against the left have been targeted.  And, if they are subjected to threats and other typical lefty treatment, I hope they come forward with that as well.

More Reactions from the SWATting of Aaron Walker

Since my post late last evening, there have been some more developments in the Aaron Walker/Brett Kimberlin story.  First off, Walker himself posted on the matter…

So anyone following along on twitter know the basics.  I was SWATted tonight.  My wife was down in the basement, and unknown to me she had fallen asleep in an uncomfortable position while watching TV.  I was just finishing up a post where I was going to share Kimberlin’s nutty response to my motion for a partial stay when someone decided to recklessly endanger my life.

I mean again.  Let’s not forget the last time someone intentionally engaged in conduct that they knew could get me and my wife killed.  In that case we know who the culprit was: Brett Kimberlin.  He intentionally and gratuitously revealed my real name, home address, work and work address, in court documents and then told the police in a letter that he believed because of his actions that “there exists the very real probability that Mr. Walker could be subjected to serious harm or death now that his identity has been exposed.”  And then he fought tooth and nail to keep that information from being sealed, and then fought to get them unsealed.

Anyway, to the police officers’ credit, they recognized a hoax was a real possibility.  I would describe what they did next as just due diligence.  They had me stand out in the yard and talk to an officer about who my list of suspects were, in my bare feet and everything, and they swept the house and verified my wife was safe and no one else was in danger.  As I became more aware of my surroundings, I saw around 5-6 cop cars at the corner, and a number of officers waiting.  No, it wasn’t a SWAT team.  One weenie-ish SWATting apologist thinks that if they don’t bring out the SWAT van it doesn’t count, failing to understand that like many slang terms, it is not utterly literal.

My wife came out a bit later and she appeared to be okay and I gave her a hug.  She later told me when the officer woke her up, she said, the same phrase, “let me guess, someone called and said my husband shot me…”  She says the cop was surprised that she wasn’t surprised.  Then I spent a good hour or two talking to the police and contacting people with vital information.  That is, for instance, how Patrick Frey over at Patterico’s knew first even before I tweeted anything out about it, because I knew he would have a lot to tell them.  And we will be working with a detective to get at who committed this latest crime against us in the days to come.

As you can see, this was another attempt to silence someone who has blogged about “Team Kimberlin.”

Via Instapundit, we learn that one of Aaron Walker’s lawyers, Bruce Godfrey, has felt compelled to issue a statement defiantly defending taking on Aaron as a client.  Why would that be?  Perhaps, Mr. Godfrey gives us the answer:

I do know that there have been some petty efforts to interfere with my relationships with some legal referral sources of mine. But when I tell you I don’t care, I don’t care. I have no boss to “harass”; this law shop is mine for my clients’ welfare and I answer to no one but my clients and the courts. That’s that.

Either you have the courage to do what needs to be done as an attorney, or you don’t. Fortunately, I do. At the risk of ungentlemanly coarseness, mine are made out of high-quality tempered American brass, and that fact settles the discussion. Indeed, the best way to discourage this sort of nonsense is to respond to it with moral fortitude, measured, reasonable responses and, to the extent strictly lawful, vi et armis.

I’m wonder if the “bad guys” are figuring out that the good guys aren’t going to fold, and have far more collective resources than was initially thought?  That, and they haven’t realized that Alinsky is dead, and so is his method.

Union Bosses Abandoning Team Obama? AFL-CIO Directing Funds From Obama

It seems that the Union bosses are pulling the plug on team Obama for 2012.  Is it due to the fact that the DNC and Obama threw the unions under the bus in Wisconsin?   The Lid has more…

The AFL-CIO has told USA News and World Report  that it’s moving money from political candidates even though its right in the middle of election season. This represents another blow to the Obama campaign which is already way behind its fundraising goals. The labor union says this shift was planned for a long time and has nothing to do with the fact that Barack Obama was too busy to visit Wisconsin during the recall battle.

“We wanted to start investing our funds in our own infrastructure and advocacy,” AFL-CIO spokesman Josh Goldstein told Whispers. “There will be less contributions to candidates,” including President Obama.

While there were “a lot of different opinions” about whether Obama should have gone to Wisconsin, according to Goldstein, “this is not a slight at the president.”

The AFL-CIO has been at odds with the president before Wisconsin on issues such as the public health insurance option and renewing the Bush tax cuts.

The shift in funding is significant due to the federation’s role in past presidential campaigns, where the AFL-CIO built up a massive political structure in the months leading up the election, including extensive “Get Out The Vote” efforts, as well as financial contributions.

This time around, Goldstein says, the federation wants to build a more long-lasting structure, giving “different kinds of support to different candidates.”

Goldstein clarifies that in the new deployment of funds, “Some candidates will get more, some less, some the same — but overall we’ll be focused more on spending resources to build our own structure [that] works for working people instead of others’ own structures.”

Does this mean that the Unions are going to throw their money at “different” candidates-read Communist?  We have covered that Union members and Communist entities seem to pal around quite nicely, often mixing with each other, and even with union members carrying communist flags…

So then, there are a number of thoughts as to what the unions might do with different “structures.”

1.  More goons to intimidate businesses, politicians, and the like, as well as to attack anyone with a camera.

2.  More rent-a-mob to make them look far more influential than they really are.

3.  More pre-printed signs, shirts, and banners.  Because nothing say “grassroots” like spending a ton of money on signs, shirts and hats!

If have noticed a whiff of sarcasm, your olfactory senses are spot on.  These bosses, while well funded, are Alinkyites, and pretty uninspired ones at that.  In other words, they aren’t going to do much that is new, but a lot that is old-just more of it.  They’re going lie more, intimidate more, and beat up more people.  And, when they do more of it, they is going to be more and more examples of their thuggery to show the world.  Basically, they are going to turn the fail up to “11.”

Brett Kimberlin Update: ABC News Covers Story, Ali Akbar Defended by ACLJ,

While I was at the day job, there were quite a few developments in the Brett Kimberlin story.  The Other McCain has a great starting point for today’s coverage…

Very busy today, awaiting developments on The Kimberlin Files. However, Da Tech Guy cleverly points out that CNN allowed Arlette Saenz of ABC to beat them on reporting this story, even though the reported SWATting of CNN on-air personality Erick Erickson was a central element of the story.

For that matter, CNN contributorDana Loesch is well-informed about the Kimberlin story, and could put CNN’s reporters in direct contact with many others who are involved. But maybe the executives at CNN would rather continue being No. 3 in cable news ratings, and let their competitors scoop them on such an important story, because they are more interested in playing politics than reporting the actual news.

And they wonder why no one is watching?

Here is an excerpt from the ABC News Story…

A number of conservative bloggers allege they have been targeted through the use of harassment tactics such as SWAT-ting (fooling 911 operators into sending emergency teams to their homes), in retaliation for posts they have written, and now Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., has stepped into the matter. He has sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder urging him to investigate the SWAT-ting cases to see if federal laws have been violated.

“I am writing with concern regarding recent reports that several members of the community of online political commentators have been targeted with harassing and frightening actions. Any potentially criminal action that incites fear, seeks to silence a dissenting opinion, and collaterally wastes the resources of law enforcement should be given close scrutiny at all levels,” Chambliss wrote in the letter. “

Regardless of any potential political differences that may exist, threats and intimidation have no place in our national political discourse. Those who choose to enter into that political discourse should not have to worry about potential threats to their or their family’s safety,” Chambliss continued. “While I am certain that local law enforcement is reviewing each of these instances, I am asking you to please look into each of these cases as well to determine if any federal laws may have been violated. Future targets of SWAT-ting, whether engaged in political speech or not, may not be so fortunate as to escape physical harm.”

Adrienne also points out that the story hit the from page of Yahoo News, as they are in a cooperative venture with ABC.

Bob Belvedere at TCOTS points out that Senator Saxby Chambliss sent a letter to AG Holder…

-How about some good news…

= Senator Saxby Chambliss has sent a letter to Eric Holder…

…regarding recent reports that several conservative political commentators have been targeted with harassing and frightening actions. Chambliss demanded that Holder examine these cases to determine if federal laws have been violated.

These dangerous hoaxes, also known as “SWAT-ting,” occur when a perpetrator contacts local police to report a violent incident at a target’s home. These callers are believed to utilize voice-over IP (VOIP) and other less-traditional telecommunications methods to make the call appear to come from the target residence and to hide the caller’s true identity.

In response, a dispatcher sends a SWAT team or other police unit in a heightened state of readiness to the unsuspecting target’s residence. Targets only learn of these false reports when a large police presence descends upon their homes.

In the letter, Chambliss states that “Any potentially criminal action that incites fear, seeks to silence a dissenting opinion, and collaterally wastes the resources of law enforcement should be given close scrutiny at all levels… Regardless of any potential political differences that may exist, threats and intimidation have no place in our national political discourse. Those who choose to enter into that political discourse should not have to worry about potential threats to their or their family’s safety.”

You can read the letter by clicking here [tip of the fedora to Mandy Nagy,@Liberty_Chick].

Also, it has become apparent that…

-Representative Kenny Marchant of Texas-24 has sent a letter to Eric Holder.

The press release:

Marchant Stands for Free Speech and with Conservative Bloggers Under Attack

Washington, Jun 7 – Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) today issued a statement in strong support of free speech and conservative bloggers who are being targeted in dangerous “SWAT-tings” and asked Attorney General Holder to investigate these matters to see if federal laws have been violated by the perpetrators.

Recent reports of SWAT-tings have gripped the attention of the conservative blogosphere and are making their way to more mainstream media outlets. SWAT-tings are elaborate schemes whereby the perpetrator calls a local police department to report a violent occurrence inside the target’s residence. Unbeknownst to the target, authorities have been summoned and police units swarm the residence. These hoaxes are dangerous and are being used by suspicious characters to harass and suppress free speech, particularly that of conservative bloggers.

“I have written a letter demanding Attorney General Holder and the Justice Department fully investigate these SWAT-tings. These hoaxes are clearly intended to silence speech and rational political discourse and incite fear amongst those associated with a targeted blogger. These incidents also spread local law enforcement resources thinly. Any attempt to suppress free speech is one that ought to be taken seriously, and I will lend my voice and support to this cause to ensure that no one’s constitutional rights are violated, no matter what their political beliefs are. No one should be subjected to this treatment and I will not allow SWAT-tings to go unaddressed by the Justice Department.”

A letter has been sent to the Attorney General demanding an investigation into SWAT-tings. The full text of the letter to Attorney General Holder is printed below and a copy of the letter is attached.

You can read that letter by clicking here.

In all honesty, the important thing is that there are Congressmen paying attention to this situation.  I am only partially sarcastic in saying that if Holder did investigate it, and he won’t, that he would investigate the Bloggers, and treat Kimberlin as he did the Black Panthers.

Michele Malkin is noting the the ACLJ is defending Ali Akbar…

I’ve been telling you about First Amendment lawyers working behind the scenes to help the targets of Brett Kimberlin and his online cabal.

Kudos to the ACLJ for stepping up to the plate in the face of ongoing threats and smears. Just released:

(Washington, DC) – The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which focuses on constitutional law, announced today it is providing legal representation to a top conservative blogger and his organization that represents hundreds of bloggers who are facing threats and intimidation tactics by those opposed to their viewpoint.

“Free speech is under attack,” said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ. “Conservative writers are now facing threats against themselves, their families, and their livelihoods merely because they’ve aggressively investigated the history and funding of radical liberals. The ACLJ has a long history of successfully defending free speech, and we look forward to defeating this latest attempt to threaten and intimidate conservatives into silence.”

The issue involves targeting a number of conservative bloggers with a dangerous and illegal tactic that’s become known as SWAT-ing (making false 911 calls sending police to the homes of bloggers, claiming a crime has occurred.) The tactic is used in retaliation for posts the conservative bloggers have written.

The ACLJ is representing Ali Akbar, a top blogger and president of the National Bloggers Club, a coalition of 300 conservative bloggers who reach millions of readers. Akbar has seen his mother’s home photographed and placed on the internet. He has also received formal notification that he may soon be sued for publishing truthful information about radical liberals and their wealthy donors.

“I’m grateful for the support of the ACLJ, and I’m confident we’ll defeat any and all legal challenges to our fundamental right to free speech,” said Akbar. “We will not be deterred in our quest for the truth.”

The ACLJ will aggressively defend the constitutionally-protected free speech rights of Akbar and his organizations.

The ACLJ’s representation of Akbar comes as Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) is calling on Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate the SWAT-ting cases to see if federal laws have been violated. In a letter to the Attorney General, Sen. Chambliss wrote: “Any potentially criminal action that incites fear, seeks to silence a dissenting opinion, and collaterally wastes the resources of law enforcement should be given close scrutiny at all levels. . . Regardless of any potential political differences that may exist, threats and intimidation have no place in our national political discourse.”

Led by Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, the American Center for Law and Justice is based in Washington, D.C. and online at www.aclj.org.

Jay’s blog post is here.

ACLJ’s David French weighs in at National Review. Ditto this:

The radicals have picked a fight with the wrong people. Ali and the bloggers at the National Bloggers Club will not be silenced.Don’t forget: Donate here to support Kimberlin targets.

So, it seems that there is more and more light being shed on the situation.  However, from previous actions, we can safely assume that the attempts to silence bloggers will continue.  Since these are leftists with whom we are dealing, we should not assume that violence is not out of the questions.  Leftists, by their own nature, are rather violent (see Unions, OWS, and the like), so I see that as still being on the table for them.  That does not mean that we should be violent ourselves.  We have the truth, and the First Amendment, on our side.  While it might be a slog for a while, the truth always wins in the end.  Leftist tactics are used in the assumption that the target will give up after a war of attrition.  Remember Alinsky’s Rule 13…

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

As well as rule 8.

Keep the pressure on.

Here’s the trick; if the target hangs on, the tactics fail, because they are based on fear, and lies.  Armed with the truth, and refusing to break down or back down causes the attacker increased exposure, both for his tactics, as well as his motives.  In other words, the longer we make them act unscrupulously, the more and more people see that they are unscrupulous.

Just think of the unions in Wisconsin.  The longer they exposed themselves as thugs, the more and more people saw that they were thugs.  And, even with millions spent, and a path of intimidation, violence and destruction, they still lost.  This is just another reflection of that reality.

So, let’s keep on going, they more they act out, the more people that see what they really are.

Brett Kimberlin Update: Ali Akbar Targeted

If you recall, Ali Akbar is an activist that runs the National Bloggers Club, an organization that defends bloggers from those who would harass and silence them.  I covered this during Everyone Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day.

The Other McCain has a link to a site devoted to defending bloggers hit with harassing, frivolous legal actions…

The National Bloggers Club has been a valuable ally in supporting and defending bloggers targeted by harassment and intimidation. Today is “Everybody Blog Brett Kimberlin Day.” I join with National Bloggers Club president Ali Akbar in sincerely requesting that readers concerned about defending First Amendment rights online visit the club’s special site, KimberlinFiles.org, and please give generously. Fellow bloggers can help by including the image and link in their coverage of the Kimberlin case.

– Robert Stacy McCain, Whereabouts Unknown

However, Da Tech Guy is reporting that Mr. Akbar has  been targeted by a site allegedly linked to Brett Kimberlin.

Lets see Democrat operatives deciding they don’t like what a Black political activist is doing.

So they attempt to intimidate and threaten the activist’s family in order to make him stop

So, we see the targeting spreading out to others.  This is Alinsky, pure and simple.  People are targeted, and threatened until they stop speaking out.

The Daley Gator has additional information…

Smitty at The Other McCain has more as does Ace, who has a plan, and some sage advice

On Friday, this site will be absolutely dead-silent, which is what Brett Kimberlin and his stalker crew seeks, and what the media and our supposed Representatives in Congress would permit.

The only post on Friday will be a bold-faced Open Letter to Congress, urging them to act and not attempt to pass the buck to others.

They are our representatives; we would like some representation.

They vowed to defend and protect the Constitution; they can honor that vow now.

I will post links of Congressmen’s and Senator’s email addresses and offices and phone numbers, and urge every concerned American citizen to let them know, in no uncertain terms, that a crime in progress against the First Amendment (and people’s safety) is occurring, and we humbly request they take this seriously.

They are literally going to get someone killed. That is their endgame here.

Will the media and Congress pretend “we didn’t know” when this happens?

ABCNews knows.

The Weekly Standard knows.

The Daily Caller knows.

And many, but not yet all, Congressmen and Senators know.

I encourage all bloggers and twitterers to essentially strike that day, or write nothing except your desire that you expect your Congressmen to take threats to your First Amendment rights seriously.

However, I don’t entirely agree with a day of silence, Bob Belvedere has some other options…

-Richard McEnroe makes a damn good point:

I’m not sure I see the point of silent Friday. Remember the Great Gay Strike of, what was it, 2009, 2010? Remember the devastating effect it didn’t have?

I think I might spend the day posting the addresses and contact information of every organization that allegedy roosts under Velvet Revolution’s umbrella, instead… at least those of them that aren’t empty letterheads.

-Adjoran reponds to Richard:

I think your idea makes more sense. Ace is a bit thick sometimes. If the old media hasn’t picked up this story yet, who is naive enough to believe a day of silence is going to mean anything.

I seem to recall a day a year or two back when illegal immigrants were going on “strike,” and no one noticed?  Frankly, that is what the bad guys want anyway.  While a day of silence has some nice symbolism, there is no real positive impact for it.   I think some more positive (and non-violent) action that builds on our strengths, not our silence.  More posts are better than no posts, so if people have some ideas, or likes Mr. McEnroe’s, drop a comment and let’s see what can be done.  In the end, constructive action is better than no action.

Pro-Palestinian Group Stalks Jewish Students

Apparently, making a political point means intimidating people that might disagree with you.  The “palestinians” have learned that from the Alinskyites, and is putting it into practice at Atlantic University.  GateWay Pundit has more...

This is a harassment. The radical Palestinian students should be expelled.
YNet reported:

Some 200 Jewish students attending Atlantic University receive fake eviction notice sent by pro-Palestinian activists

More than 200 Jewish students attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, were surprised to find “eviction notices” posted to their dorm room doors on Friday.

The students later found out that the fake notices were placed by the Students for Justice in Palestine.

According to the Sun Sentinel, the group’s stunt was aimed to draw attention to their claim that “about 25,000 homes have been demolished since the occupation of Palestine by Israeli troops began in 1967.”

Rayna Exelbierd, a 20-year-old sophomore from Memphis, Tennessee, said “We’re taking it very seriously. We’re considering it a hate crime. The flier promotes hate; it doesn’t promote peace. People were scared by it. People felt threatened by it.”

Well, as to feeling threatened, they are supposed to feel that way.  Doing this is a great way to say, “we know where you live.”

Of course, the basic premise of the protest is rather flimsy.  It’s rather like the palestinians are saying…

We tried to kill you all before, but failed.  We want a do-over!!!

In the end, it is instructive, as it is yet another example of trying to make a point by intimidating targets.  Or, is the intimidation the most important part?

President Obama Darkly Threatens Supreme Court; Does His Behavior Fit Definition of Bullying?

President Obama is a bully. Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior manifested by the use of force or coercion to affect others, and this is exactly what President Obama is attempting to do with his latest speech in which he darkly threatened the Supreme Court regarding their impending decision regarding Obamacare, saying

I’m confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.

His behavior, as I have demonstrated on this blog repeatedly, is bullying, especially because it is habitual in nature (done many times, especially when he isn’t reading a prepared text) and it justified by what he believes is an imbalance of power- as his people once famously stated, ‘elections have consequences’ and now he believes that he has ‘the power’ and others do not. His target or victim changes with the issue, but consists of the Koch Brothers, conservatives, businesses, the Tea Party, and now the five judges on the Supreme Court that are about to use their longstanding power of judicial review to strike down a law that was narrowly passed using kickbacks, parliamentary gimmicks, ‘reconciliation,’ and backroom deals, which repulsed the democracy of our nation so much that in the next election Democrats were wiped out in a historic manner a mere two short years after Obama was elected.

A usual tactic involved in bullying is to socially isolate the victim of the attack, by separating them from the rest of society by describing them as different or ‘unelected’, and therefore then justifying the ensuing attack because they are not part of society. Language like ‘unprecedented’ is not meant to suggest that the Supreme Court using its power of judicial review is unprecedented- it has used it 1300 times over 200 years and a ‘constitutional scholar’ like Obama must know that- but rather it is used to attempt to isolate and separate the victim for the ensuing attack.

Even though I’ve had many workshops on bullying, I don’t pretend to be an expert on it, but I still recognize in Obama a need to dominate and even a casual and friendly observer would agree that the policies that he pushes are authoritarian in nature, which are characteristic of a bully. Other emotions that frequently are associated with bullies is envy and resentment, and this also fits with the profile that the Democrat President has been filling out over the last four years- someone who is filled with class envy and resentment at those who do well in society and desires to bring them down through the force of government- or as he stated recently, even if Congress doesn’t go along with his ideas, he is still prepared to use the power of his office to bully people into going along with his views.

Bullies also frequently desire to control their image, and we have seen quite clearly since Obama has been elected that he has a thin skin and does not take jokes very well. Many Presidents laugh at their own faults and make fun of themselves- such as George W Bush did at the correspondents dinner on many an occasion or George HW Bush did by inviting Dana Carvey to the White House- but President Obama uses comedy to belittle, demean, and attack his enemies, as has been documented on many a blog over the years.

It has often been suggested that bullying behavior has its origin in childhood, and this leads me to wonder just what sort of childhood President Obama had. One can imagine him as a youth as either the target of bullying- and now responding in kind- or as the instigator of it. Adult bullying is characterized by administrative end-runs (like was does in passing Obamacare), well-planned and orchestrated attempts at character assassination (I think today he was going after Big Oil), or other less obvious yet equally forceful forms of coercion (such as darkly threatening Congress recently or the Supreme Court in this particular instance).

As a child I refused to be bullied, and as a blogger I’ve faced many attempts to bully me. And I’m not going to stand for the President of the United States attempting to bully our Supreme Court. I’m not a fan of judicial review and I don’t like activist judges, but the response that decent people would resort to would be arguing their views and policies more clearly and persuasively. President Obama is not a decent person- he is a bully- and so his response as it has always been is to intimidate, use force, threaten power, socially isolate, character assassinate, and bully away.

Vote Republican in 2012 and throw this bully out of office.

Some More Thoughts on the Nature of Ideological Warfare

I’ve been thinking about the current political climate, as well as history, both recent and more remote.  What we are seeing today is nothing new, it’s all happened before-a few are trying to dominate the entire population, and far too many average citizens have no idea what is really happening.  So, I thought it might be a good idea to discuss what is going on now.

I look at OWS, the unions, as well as the multitudes of small organizations that are meant to Cloward-Piven the Republic.  I consider that OWS participants number in the thousands, or perhaps the low five-figure area.  In other words, all the occupiers combined represent the attendance at ONE of the larger Tea Party protests from 2009-2010.  When compared to the Tea Party, the so called 99% isn’t even a drop in the proverbial bucket.

Then, I remember that unions only represent 11.8% of workers in the US.  I also have to realize that among union workers, the vast majority never voted in a union election (for which they would have had to show photo id, by the way), and are only in a union because they had no choice.  Also, when workers are allowed to leave the union, or are not forced to pay dues, many abandon the union.  Consequently, the number of union members is not indicative of how many people support unions.  As in the old Soviet Bloc, many would escape if they could, so the bosses keep them in against their will.

Also, they have community organizations, like the “organizations formerly known as ACORN.”  These are the “grassroots” organizations that send people to protest in rented buses, with their identical, professionally printed signs, as well as their identical shirts, hats, or jackets.  Or if the participants are lucky, they get paid to protest, even if they have no idea who or what they are protesting.  Because, as well all know, real grassroots organizations have identically pre-printed signs, “uniforms,” pay people to protest, and use rented buses.  You know, spontaneity, right?

What am I getting at, you ask?  From what the evidence dictates, OWS, the unions, and all of the community organizations represent a tiny percentage of the overall population, yet they reserve for themselves the right to dictate all aspects of life to the rest of us.  They have had a great deal of success.  This success comes from several factors:

  1. They are organized.  They coordinate with other groups and individuals.  Not always all that well, but some organization goes a long way against small groups or individuals.
  1. Tactics:  Most leftist groups use pressure tactics against organizations or individuals.  These are tactics historically used by Communists, labor unions, or community organizers (or do I repeat myself?). Saul Alinsky compiled them in his book, Rules for Radicals, and they target individuals (in particular) for intimidation, harassment, and disruption in an effort to discredit them, and then to cause their capitulation.
  1. Additionally, their tactics do not have to have anything to do with reality.  They seek to create a false perception, rather than deal with reality.  The tactics are unethical and dishonest, but they don’t let that get in the way.  For them, the ends justify the means.
  1. They are persistent:  Leftist groups don’t let laws, elections, or even the Constitution get in their way.  They come back for more.  They raid union coffers.  They pay more protestors.  They bus in more goons.  They engage in vandalism, extortion, or even violence in an effort to reach their objective.  The will of the people means nothing to them.  When defeated, they come back again, relabeled and slightly reconfigured, but underneath it all, it’s still the same.
  1. They are amoral:  While that may sound like I’m pushing the envelope, there is some truth to this.  First, consider that the first edition of Rules for Radicals was dedicated to Lucifer.  Then, consider that they will lie, intimidate, coerce, strong-arm, extort, vandalize, and commit assault to meet their objectives.  While being reprehensible, having a lack of morals leaves a lot of options open to them.  Those options are rarely considered by their targets, who often do have a moral center.

With all of the above, they are able to make “noise” that is far out of proportion to their actual numbers.  They attempt to create the perception that they represent a large segment of the population, when, in reality, they represent their own narrow interests.   When they bus 500 goons to a banker’s house in order to intimidate a banker’s teenaged child, they try to make themselves look much larger than they really are.  However, the fact is that the goons were likely paid to go, or otherwise offered incentives.  It was structured, pre-planned, and completely fake.  And, it only represents the needs and wants of the union bosses, not the public at large.  In other words, they try to make David look like Goliath-by acting like Al Capone.

As for the future, I really see these groups continuing following the Alinsky playbook.  Perhaps the frequency and level of violence will increase, but this is what they know, and they won’t depart from it easily.  They are creatures of habit, and like all humans, will almost always return to what they know.  That is their glaring weakness, and it is what will lead to their defeat-if we exploit it to own advantage.  Here are some more thoughts on their weaknesses.

  1. Their adherence to a small set of tactics limits them.  They have a hard time dealing with people that stand up to them.  Like the schoolhouse bully, they don’t know how to take it when their presumptive victims refuse to submit.  So, if people stand up to them, they’ll be rather perplexed as to how to deal with it.
  1. Since they are a very small part of the population, they haven’t sufficient numbers to attack a large number of targets simultaneously.  If a significant number of their victims come forward, they won’t have the resources to hit all of them. As I noted earlier, they are successful because they can isolate small numbers, or individual targets at any given time.  Then, the targets usually break, one by one, or are destroyed.
  1. Additionally, if their targets support each other, and work to counter the goons, they will have no clue as to how to respond.  Most of their tactics are predicated on isolating individual targets.  They can’t freeze or isolate a moving target, nor can they freeze or isolate people that stick together.  Essentially, they don’t have a ”Plan B.”
  1. With the advent of social media, they aren’t able to hide their activities.  In the past, they could harass individuals, destroy property, or even assault people, and the MSM wouldn’t cover it.  And, in most cases, there would be no arrests.  So, they are used to being able to project a kind face to the public, while acting like a criminal mob behind the scenes, or in the street-hidden behind the shield of a compliant media.  Therefore, there are still in that mode of thinking that they can act with impunity.  That will be a significant weakness for them.
  1. Social Media coverage also helps the targets of leftist groups.  In the past, the isolation and intense thug tactics would be psychologically devastating to the victims, as they would feel very alone, and isolated.  When one feels as if they have no friends or supporters, they are more likely to cave in to the demands of the goons.  On the contrary, when people feel like they are supported, or others are going through the same thing, they gain strength to fight on.  Now, thanks to social media, when someone is targeted, they can gain worldwide support.  And, people all over the world will see the goon tactics in action.   In general, people do not like thugs, so it will reflect poorly in public opinion.
  1. Pursuant to item 1, when dealing with tantruming children and bullies, when thwarted, will usually try to escalate their behavior or rhetoric.  What that means is that when they are challenged, they may double down on their behavior, and do even more of what does not work.  Again, that can be recorded and posted, and be used to expose them to an even greater degree.
  1. The denial of reality hurts the goons.  As I noted earlier, goons depend upon creating a false narrative and perception to change opinion.  The problem is that false narratives are easily crushed by reality.  And, in the age of social media, the truth can be easily distributed.  The more that the thugs put out false information that is easily disproved, the less credibility that they have.

When you think of it, it is already working.  In decades past, would the public have known about what is “in” ObamaCare?  Would Sandra Fluke’s story have “gone over?”  Would the majority if the people believed that the Tea Party was just an new incarnation of the KKK without the hoods?  I believe the answer to all of those is yes.  So, we are having an impact, and we keep pouring it on, because information is the weapon of choice in this war.

Over a year ago, I posted an article about the nature of ideological warfare.  In that post, I noted that there isn’t going to be an end point to this war for freedom that we are waging. There is never going to be a surrender ceremony, no VE day, or no VJ day.  We need to recognize that, and even when we win a battle, the war goes on-it always will.  Needless to say, we need to keep winning over people with the truth. It is working, and the more we do it, the more it will work.

Total Political War: Fascists and Progressives Expand Attacks to the Second Tier

Over the last several years, I have been fighting my own brand of war against those people who are the enemies of freedom and liberty. My style of fighting is to write about freedom and liberty; to discuss and expand on the ideas found in our founding documents; and attempt to apply to modern day policies the principles of protection of life, support of liberty, and protection of property. And those who oppose me have also been fighting me.

But unlike my style of warfare, the thugs who oppose me rely on intimidation, threats, attempts to damage my property, and efforts to silence me. And I am just the sort of target that these thugs like- although elected officials and big-time bloggers are good targets too, they are able to fight back and could become martyrs to the cause, but me and those who support the elected officials and bigger bloggers and private citizens who are attacked are one removed from the dispute and smaller so make much better targets for the thugs and cowards out there who disagree with our views and policy positions.

Although there is no way to compare what I have faced to the attacks on Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, and others, being a secondary target does not mean that I haven’t been attacked too.

In recent years, the worst attacks that I have suffered have come after I have supported and defended those who were attacked by liberal thugs. My defense of the Koch brothers from the President Barack Obama’s orchestrated attacks on themcaused left-wing fascists to respond by attempting to shut down my blog. The vile creeps even went so far to write a letter to the employer of one of my loyal readers- they thought they were targeting me- as they attempted to respond to differences in views by causing the loss of employment and income. They didn’t like the fact that I defended private citizens from slanderous attacks by the President of our nation, and responded to it by engaging in slanderous and personal attacks on me.

Another round of attacks came on me after I defended the tea party on several blogs and forums, responding with reasoning and calls for a more adult discussion to those who called those who supported tea party views and ideas various names. Those who disagreed with my views- those on the left who call themselves progressives or liberals but in reality are simply fascists- responded by filling up the comment sections of all of my posts with their various rants and foul language, and because I didn’t want my blog to be a forum for their hate I was forced to disable the comment section on my blog.

One of the most clever attacks on me came after I defended in blogs and in forums and on social media Rocky Raczkowski, who was tea-party favorite and GOP nominee in 2010 for Michigan’s 9th District. Someone emailed me pretending to agree with my comments and asked questions about the advertisers on my blog, and the next day my advertisers dropped me and confiscated my money due to what they said was fraud. I’m not going to say exactly what happened (I don’t want to give the thugs ammunition), but the result was a loss of income for me and the loss of a good sum of money (Google never responded to my inquiries or pleas for reconsideration).

These attacks on me are not isolated to just me. Over at Legal Insurrection, Will has a story up that rings very close to my own experiences, called Welcome to total political war:

…I’m not talking about the attempt to get advertisers to stop advertising on Rush Limbaugh’s show, or Fox News, although that would be bad enough. I’m talking about the second-tier of the warfare, the attempt to intimidate those removed by one or more degrees of separation from the dispute, and to use them as tools against the target.

We have seen it a number of times in the past couple of years.

When King & Spalding agreed to represent the U.S. House of Representative after Obama changed positions and announced that theJustice Department no longer would defend DOMA in court, there were not only protests against King & Spalding, but threats to picket and protest clients of the firm who had nothing to do with the dispute. The threat that clients of the firm who were completely unconnected to the dispute would be harrasseed was enough to cause the firm to withdraw the representation.

Similarly, when the new Rhode Island Attorney General announced that he would cooperate with the federal goverment in the enforcement of federal immigration laws, protesters not only invaded the lobby of his offices, they picketed his house and confronted neighbors about the issue. Dragging his neighbors into a dispute which had nothing to do with them did not cause the RI AG to back down, although not for lack of trying.

Which brings me to the present dispute with Rush Limbaugh, and radio show host Kim Komando, who has a very well-known computer talk show. What did or does Komando have to do with the dispute? Nothing, except that one or more of the advertisers targeted by the anti-Limbaugh groups also advertises on Komando’s show. Komando received a flood of e-mails demanding that she drop the advertisers….

…What is happening goes beyond Obama’s call for people to argue with their neighbors and get in their faces. It goes far beyond Bill Clinton’spolitics of personal destruction directed at accusers, and beyond name-calling by right wing pundits.

This total war, in which no one is allowed to be non-political and neighbors and clients become mere pressure points, is a dangerous development.

This is indeed total war, and that realization has only slowly dawned on me over the years that I have been writing on this blog. It is scary, but not surprising- most of humanity today lives in a state of fear and oppression from tyrants, and for most of human history humanity has lived in fear and oppression from tyrants.

It is in the worst nature of people to attempt to oppress others and use them as slaves- use their labor and intelligence and skills and drive to provide them with things they did not earn- food, clothing, shelter, medicine, drugs, influence, power, money, loans, etc. The worst nature of people is to react to arguments and reasoning with intimidation, threats, and personal attacks. And the worst nature of people is to take that which they did not earn, suppress and lessen the freedom and liberty of others, and if possible choke the very life out of those who oppose them.

It’s a total war and it’s getting worse as our opponents grow more bold and get closer to winning the war. I can only hope that in 2012, you and your friends and family recognize that we’re at war and take the proper steps, because the last time the American people pretended that they weren’t at war, we saw the error of that thinking on September 11.

Anatomy of an Occupy Disruption: Prevent Free Speech, Then Claim to be Victims When Thwarted

We’ve been dissecting the activities and tactics of Occupy Wall Street for some time now.  We’ve exposed their efforts to create another “Kent State,” by attacking police.  We’ve shown them using children as human shields, and attacking people that disagree with them, or even trying to record their activities.  Right along those same lines are their efforts to derail free speech by disrupting events that they do not like.  They have a game plan:

1.  Infiltrate an event.

2.  Disrupt the event so thoroughly, that the opposition cannot speak.

3.  And, if anyone tries to stop them, they claim to be the victims.

For the latest example, let’s take a look at the following, via The Blaze…

The efforts of pro-Palestinian “Occupy” protesters to stifle the free speech of pro-Israel speakers nationwide continued at the University of New Mexico on Thursday night when a small group tried to shout down a speech by author Nonie Darwish. This time, their pre-planned disruption led to a physical altercation.

Darwish, founder of Arabs for Israel and director of Former Muslims United, was speaking at anevent titled, “Why the Arab Spring is Failing” organized by the University of New Mexico Israel Alliance and the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

We’ll not be examining the anti-Semitism inherent in the Occupy movement-it’s been abundantly covered in other posts, and this one is about their process, not the content.

At any rate, the occupods usually disrupt or crash an event to their fullest, and prior to occupy, leftists were very successful in preventing anyone aligned with freedom from speaking in the first place.  The Occupods are simply picking up on that tactic.

To illustrate, here is what happened at the event in New Mexico.  The first video is from the perspective of the speaker and the crowd…

Then, here are two videos from the occupod perspective…

Kindly note how the occupod videos are titled in a way that makes them appear to be the victims.

The activists and their supporters claimed three of them were “were assaulted on UNM campus for simply trying to make their voices heard and it is a shock that a non-violent action was met with such aggression.”

Let’s translate…

TRANSLATION:  “We were preventing others from speaking, silencing people that disagree with us-you know, minding our own business, when these evil elderly people attacked us!”

Of course, this is mild, compared to the rapes, attacks, defecating on police cars, and vandalism, that are part and parcel of the occupy movement.  But, they will engage in all manners if violence, and then cry foul when they are thwarted in their efforts to silence others.   This is just another example if the occupod’s (as well as the left’s) general hypocrisy and tyrannical nature.  Only they have freedom of speech.  And, ironically (or not), their freedom of speech entitles them to silence anyone who disagrees with them.   They love democracy, but votes can only be taken if it favors their ends.  They can be as violent as they want, but if anyone resists, they are the victims, not the aggressors.  They can vandalize businesses, assault passers-by, threaten to close small businesses, commit rapes, child molestation, drug sales, create IEDs, and the like-but the slightest effort to resist them is a crime?

Why yes, yes it is.

The speaker herself also reacted…

After the protesters left and she was able to resume her speech, Darwish told the audience, “They could have waited to prove me wrong but they can’t unfortunately and I feel sad for them because our children are being poisoned mentally.”

Well, they aren’t interested in proving anyone wrong.  And, in fact, they cannot.  That’s why they resort to silencing opposition, rather than engaging in actual debate.  In their desired Marxist state, all dissent is defined as “hate,” and they feel justified in engaging in hate to stop the “hate.”  History teaches us where that leads, but then again, they aren’t interested in inconvenient facts, like history.

We’re going to have to get used to this.  It’s always been a tactic of the left, and it’s part of the Alinsky Method; keep pressure 0n targets, using whatever tactics are necessary, causing the targets to retaliate.  Then, they try to portray the target as the aggressor.  It’s a classic, and they’ll always go back to it.

Site News: Political Scraps

Some of you might remember that when I started the Conservative Hideout (almost three years ago), that it was a forum.  The blog came later, as I wanted something to do until the forum took off (that and some prodding from Snarky Basterd).  Little did I know at the time that the blog would become my main pursuit.  So, the forum sat, mainly unused and forlorn.  Then, a few weeks ago, John, from the Sentry Journal, had an idea.  What if there were a place for actual debate to occur? Where leftists and Conservatives could actually discuss issues openly.  Now some, including your’s truly, say that this is simple not possible, as debating a leftist usually goes as follows…

1.  Liberal responds to facts with talking points.

2.  Conservative presents more facts to back his or her point.

3.  Liberal ignores facts, and tries to attack the credibility of the Conservative.

4.  A smart Conservative will brush aside the personal attack, and present even more factual information, or, show the reader what the liberal is doing, as facts go against their narrative.

5.  The liberal will end up insulting the Conservative, declaring victory, and going back to their mother’s basement.

However, we wise brainics in the CH 2.0 brain-trust had another idea.

What if we were to follow, and enforce, the President’s call for “Civil Discourse?”  What if the debate had to be made strictly on facts?  That, my friends, would make for a very interesting situation.

So, we decided to convert the forum, and turn it into what John coined, “Political Scraps.”  It’s debate between right and left, minus most of the Alinsky.  The rules are rather  simple…

1.  No profanity.

2.  No insults.

3.  No mockery or ridicule.

4.  Argue facts only.

So, all are welcome.  Feel free to discuss the issues of the day, and cite articles with a brief excerpt.  You have to be approved by an administrator, so please be patient.  The forum is currently staffed by Don, of Present Discontent, and myself.
