Brett Kimberlin

Reports Indicate That Brett Kimberlin is at it Again-Harassing Blog Bash?

It has been reported that convicted bomber, Brett Kimberlin, is attempting to disrupt the “Blog Bash” at CPAC.  The method of disruption is pretty standard regressive/Alinsky tactics-threaten the sponsors and venue until they submit to the thug’s will, cancelling the event.  You see, in the dark minds of regressives, and certainly a convicted bomber like Brett Kinberlin, those that disagree with his world-view simply have no right to speak, meet, communicate, or even exist.  It’s the mark of a narcissist; an undeveloped human that never went beyond the total self absorption of a 13-14 year old.  They can’t have people [...]

Brett Kimberlin Update: The Story Continues

Will all the craziness at the CH 2.0 bunker, I haven’t been able to do the Brett Kimberlin story any justice.  However, quite a few people have, so they deserve a linkaround.  So, get the mice ready to click, and get yourselves up to date on the latest… The Other McCain:  Stacey has been at his best covering “Team Kimberlin.”  Here is the collection that he likes to refer to as… THE KIMBERLIN FILES: May 17: Is Democrat Operative Neal Rauhauser an ‘Associate’ of Convicted Terrorist Brett Kimberlin? (And Why It Matters) May 17: Convicted Terrorist Brett Kimberlin Received $70,000 From Tides [...]

Why the Brett Kimberlin Story Matters: Free Speech, and the Price to be Paid

Looking at the big picture, the alleged activities of “Team Kimberlin” fits well into a overall pattern-to silence dissent.  The end goal is simple; a totalitarian state in which all power is vested in government.  The means to achieve this is to harrass, intimidate, or punish into silence anyone who opposes it, or even worse, silence anyone who points out the failures off big government programs and policies.  When those who would disagree are intimidated into silence, it is much easier to implement a progressive agenda, as well as hide the resulting failures thereof. More Reactions from the SWATting of Aaron Walker

Since my post late last evening, there have been some more developments in the Aaron Walker/Brett Kimberlin story.  First off, Walker himself posted on the matter… So anyone following along on twitter know the basics.  I was SWATted tonight.  My wife was down in the basement, and unknown to me she had fallen asleep in an uncomfortable position while watching TV.  I was just finishing up a post where I was going to share Kimberlin’s nutty response to my motion for a partial stay when someone decided to recklessly endanger my life. I mean again.  Let’s not forget the last time [...]

Breaking News: Aaron Walker SWATted!

First off, a big hat tip to our own Snarky Basterd, who texted me with the news… In yet another SWATing event, @aaronworthing (Walker) reported on Twitter tonight that he was swatted: Aaron Worthing@AaronWorthing BREAKING NEWS: tonight I was swatted. More details to come. @Liberty_Chick@Patterico @ali @michellemalkin@AoSHQ @Dust92 @rsmccain 25 Jun 12   Aaron Worthing@AaronWorthing My wife and I are safe. Will be more details when I can provide it. Wife was very upset dealing with her. 25 Jun 12 Stacey McCain has more… UPDATE: Patterico reports: It happened around 6 p.m. Eastern. I briefly talked with one of the police officers at the scene, who confirmed [...]

Brett Kimberlin Update: The Story Unfolds, and Taking Back the Velvet Revolution

Once again, I am confronted with a story that is so big, that is it is next to impossible to cover it, given my schedule and available time.  Stacey McCain explains why it’s next to impossible to cover it at all… Frankly, I am sympathetic to any reporter who might want to write about the Kimberlin story, but dreads the challenge of trying to explain it in a brief, concise news story that makes sense. I’ve written twoAmerican Spectator articles about it: May 29: Terror by Any Other Name June 8: Online Armageddon Both of those articles were quite an ordeal to write because the story is [...]

Brett Kimberlin Update: Kimberlin Claims he was SWATted, Stacey McCain Delves Into “Team” Kimberlin

The Kimberlin story continues to develop in some interesting ways.  I haven’t the time to keep up with it in real time, but I can relay you to the sources you need to keep up with the unfolding story.  So, here is the latest. Stacey McCain is covering Kimberlin’s claim that he was SWATted as well… Lee Stranhan contacted police in Montgomery County, Maryland, who say no such thing ever happened. Now we can probably expect Kimberlin to claim that the cops are part of a right-wing conspiracy against him. The Blaze has some more on Kimberlin’s claim… Blogger Lee [...]

Brett Kimberlin Update: ABC News Covers Story, Ali Akbar Defended by ACLJ,

While I was at the day job, there were quite a few developments in the Brett Kimberlin story.  The Other McCain has a great starting point for today’s coverage… FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION Very busy today, awaiting developments on The Kimberlin Files. However, Da Tech Guy cleverly points out that CNN allowed Arlette Saenz of ABC to beat them on reporting this story, even though the reported SWATting of CNN on-air personality Erick Erickson was a central element of the story. For that matter, CNN contributorDana Loesch is well-informed about the Kimberlin story, and could put CNN’s reporters in direct contact with [...]

Brett Kimberlin Update: Ali Akbar Targeted

If you recall, Ali Akbar is an activist that runs the National Bloggers Club, an organization that defends bloggers from those who would harass and silence them.  I covered this during Everyone Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day.   The Other McCain has a link to a site devoted to defending bloggers hit with harassing, frivolous legal actions… The National Bloggers Club has been a valuable ally in supporting and defending bloggers targeted by harassment and intimidation. Today is “Everybody Blog Brett Kimberlin Day.” I join with National Bloggers Club president Ali Akbar in sincerely requesting that readers concerned about defending First Amendment rights online visit the club’s special [...]

May 30, 2012 Brett Kimberlin Update: It’s Not Over Yet, and FOX News Has Coverage

As we’ve been covering the Brett Kimberlin story, one thing has emerged as a certainty-it’s not over.   From the best analysis that I’ve been able to ingest, Aaron Walker was arrested for “incitement” yesterday.  Apparently, a judge, who had little to know about the internet in any capacity, deemed blogging about the attempts of a public figure to damage another’s life, while including legal documents, is “incitement” to harm the person that was doing harm in the first place.  And,  as Patterico observes, they aren’t done  yet.  As Glenn Reynolds says: If I read this correctly, Aaron Walker is in trouble [...]

Aaron Walker Arrested in Kimberlin Case: Blogging Apparently Illegal UPDATE Walker Released

It’s a strongly worded title, I know.  But, it appears that, at least in Maryland, that it’s now illegal to do a blow by blow description of how a convicted bomber turned liberal activist has tried to ruin your life.    Aaron Walker, whose story I related here on Everyone Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day, was arrested today at the conclusion of a hearing on a “peace order.”  The Other McCain has the details… FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION Aaron Walker, whose complaint against convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin became a conservative cause célèbre this past week, was reportedly taken into custody today after a court [...]

Sunday Links: Facebook Friends Pics Volume 17

I hope that everyone is having a great Holiday weekend.  In the past week, I was proud to participate in the Everyone Blog About Brett Kimberlin project.  While that will not stop people from trying to silence critics, it will expose their activities.  During that effort, the CH 2.0 was linked by many other sites, and I’ve added many of them to the blogroll, so check them out. As usual, the links are accompanied by some pictures from my Facebook friends. It’s “Everyone Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day!” How Kimberlin Operates

We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately. Benjamin Franklin, Founding Father, United States of America That quote is most appropriate today, and dozens of bloggers unite to raise awareness regarding the activities, past and present, of Brett Kimberlin.  As it has been noted, Kimberlin has been threatening (via the legal system, to the best of my knowledge), any blogger that discusses his criminal history.  At the time of this writing, Robert Stacey McCain, and family, are in hiding due harassment by Kimberlin.  And, as Franklin suggested, we are uniting in common cause, as [...]

Brett Kimberlin Update: The Big Guns Are Coming on Board UPDATED and Stickied: Herman Cain and Erick Erickson Enter the Fray

As we’ve been reporting, Robert Stacey McCain has been forced into hiding due to the actions of Brett Kimberlin, a convicted bomber, among other things.  As the story has evolved, many bloggers have stepped forward to support R.S. McCain, this one among them.  Here is an update… Film Ladd has the following observations… Why no jibberjabber from the media herd? Why is this story being left to the part-time blogosphere? Why does Lee Stranahan have to make a video on his own dime, and declare this Friday as “write about Brett Kimberlin day” to try and drum up interest in the story? [...]

The Other McCain Forced Into Hiding by Convicted Bomber? It’s More Likely Than You Think

Sometimes, blogging takes a dark turn-namely when a blogger encounters someone who does not like being a topic of attention.  Enter then, the strange case of Brett Kimberlin, the convicted terrorist that has not reacted kindly to being under the careful examination of Stacey McCain.  Rather than rehashing the entire  situation, here is a quote from Stacey himself… FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION Convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin on Monday continued his effort to silence those who write about his criminal past by contacting my wife’s employer, claiming that I was “harassing” him. The resulting security concern required immediate relocation if I was [...]
