[Folks, forgive me if I ramble today. But, that is the mind-set I am in.]

No one can see into the future. That is a given. And yet, it is absolutely necessary to be concerned about our future and, therefore, try as best we can to anticipate what is coming. To do otherwise would be to stick our collective heads in the sand. There is really only two things we meer mortals can in trying to project into the future. One is to be observant about what has happened, what is happening, and what is likely to happen (looking at trends) and connect the dots and see where the lines that are formed are pointing. The other important tool we have is history. There are so many lessons we can learn from history. History does repeat itself. It is truly amazing how inept mankind has been in learning from history.

In the week that has passed since the election, many conservative pundits and bloggers have been busy analyzing what went wrong and making suggest of what we patriots can do to take our America back. There are many different opinions and many different ideas about what we should do going forward. I say to these people GOD BLESS YOU!  God _Bless _ You! Because that tells me that there are many patriots out there who have not thrown-in the towel. And, I am not surprised by that. True lovers of freedom never quit. Now, it is true that many of the bloggers I follow have been silent this past week. Others have announced that they will be posting less often. I suspect most of them will come back.

One of the problems that I strongly feel must be addressed in the coming weeks and months by we patriots, is to come to a general agreement of what our real problem is that we are facing together. Right now there is no agreement among us. The first step in solving a problem is not only to recognize that there is a problem; but to clearly define what the problem is. It is pf paramount importance to identify who our real enemy is. What faces us is complex in the extreme. In my experience. the best way to solve complex problems is to break it down into less complex parts and attack those parts separately. Although complex problems have many parts to them, if the problem is properly identified, those parts all point to the same thing. They all point to some end point X. When we have collectively identified the real problem we are facing and who are real enemies are, then we will have a clearer picture of what X is. Only when we have done this can we begin  to assess the strengths and weaknesses of our enemy and begin to develop strategies that give us the best chance of defeating them.

I can not emphasize enough how important I think it is that WE IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM,  IDENTIFY THE ENEMY, IDENTIFY THEIR GOAL. To that end, I intend to dedicate this blog to bring us together to debate exactly that, at least for a while. I have some ideas that I will throw out for discussion. Some of them you will not like. In some cases you will undoubtedly think that the old man has his tin-foil hat screwed on too tight again. That’s okay! All I ask of you is not to abandon me in this effort. If you think I am wrong, please make your case. Most importantly is if you have other ideas, put them out there so we can all debate them.

Tomorrow I am going to challenge a commonly held opinion by conservatives. Keep the faith, my friends. Join me in trying to come to agreement about what the problem is, who the enemy is, and what their objective is. This is important. Very, very important! I have never been so sure of anything in my life. If we fail to do this, we will be like Don Quijote tilting at windmills.

Well, now you know what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?

Apparently, the CEO of ASG is  being a bit frank with his employees, and the Democrats are not liking it.  The Blaze has the story…

The CEO then explained what the re-election of President Obama would mean for the company– and the jobs of everyone who works there:

Many of you have been with ASG for over 5, 10, 15, and even 20 years. As you know, together, we have been able to keep ASG an independent company while still growing our revenues and customers. But I can tell you, if the US re-elects President Obama, our chances of staying independent are slim to none. I am already heavily involved in considering options that make our independence go away, and with that all of our lives would change forever. I believe that a new President and administration would give US citizens and the world the renewed confidence and optimism we all need to get the global economies started again, and give ASG a chance to stay independent. If we fail as a nation to make the right choice on November 6th, and we lose our independence as a company, I don’t want to hear any complaints regarding the fallout that will most likely come. Remember, in the world of business, companies are consolidators or they get consolidated; so far ASG has been a consolidator, completing over 60 acquisitions in our 26 year history. When we buy a company, we eliminate about 60 percent of the salaries of the employees of that company. If we lose our independence and get consolidated, the same thing would happen to ASG’s employees.

I am asking you to give us one more chance to stay independent by voting in a new President and administration on November 6th. Even then, we still might not be able to remain independent, but it will at least give us a chance. If we don’t, that chance goes away.  [Emphasis added]

OK, anyone see where the problem is here?  I don’t, but that doesn’t stop some from being hypocritically alarmed.  For example, Think Regress has covered this in a rather negative light…

Last week, billionaire CEO David Siegel, who runs a timeshare empire, threatened to fire employees if President Obama is reelected in November, saying in an email, “the economy doesn’t currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another 4 years of the same Presidential administration.”

In These Times also reported today that a company owned by billionaire right-wing activists David and Charles Koch sent pro-Romney mailers to its employees. The mailer gives a veiled warning that, if Obama is reelected, “then many of our more than 50,000 U.S. employees and contractors may suffer the consequences, including higher gasoline prices, runaway inflation, and other ills.”

OK then, we’ve already covered the negative consequences of Obama’s policies extensively.  Including how people have lost their jobs, lost their plans, and such, because of ObamaCare.  Think Regress thinks that people warning their employees of this is apparently bad.  However, it doesn’t stop Think Regress from doing so of the exact same thing…

You see folks, it’s OK for the folks at Think Regress to lie about stuff.  Just like every election cycle, the media, union bosses, the Democrats, and lib organizations like Think Regress warn us all that the GOP is hell bent on starving the children and freezing the elderly.  Remember welfare reform in the 90’s?  Weren’t we told that there were going to be starved women and children dead in the street?  But, even though that didn’t happen (and none of it ever does), the lefties can make these dire warnings and predictions.  But, if a CEO, Conservative blogger, or Conservative/Libertarian politician points out facts, or makes predictions based on facts, it’s bad, very, very bad.
