The Year That Was: 2013, Top Stories

I think it would be safe to say the 2013 was a very strange year. From beginning to end, it supplied the conservative blogosphere with enough controversy, insanity, and flat-out moon battery to keep both writer and reader quite busy. So, off the top of my head, here are my thoughts on some of the top stories of 2013.   Our first story, and the one most covered here the Conservative Hideout, is ObamaCare. We predicted doom, gloom, and absolute failure for president Obama signature legislation. Let’s just say that it did not disappoint. We saw more job losses, hours […]

Eugenics Works. Margaret Sanger’s Planned Parenthood Is Proof

Logo from the Second International Eugenics Conference, 1921, depicting eugenics as a tree which unites a variety of different fields.[1] Sadly, Eugenics, the killing or the prevention of reproduction of those with “undesirable traits”, has a long and ugly history in this world of ours, including in our own great nation. Margaret Sanger (1922), the first president and founder of Planned Parenthood Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, believed no woman could call herself free who does not control her own body or until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother. Margaret Sanger was also a believer […]

Leftwaaard..Maaaarch! Left….Left…Left…

While we on the Right have been enjoying some well deserved Schadenfreude at the expense of President Obama and the Democrats over the diasterous rollout of Obamacare, with some of our pundits going so far as to claim that the public’s awakening due to Obamacare will be the end of liberalism in America, the Left has been planning their counter attack. Rather than concede that Obama’s program to provide health insurance to everyone, including those with preexisting conditions, was too big of a move to the Left, the left Left-wing of the Democratic Party is looking at Barack Obama and […]

Divide and Conquer Still Works

And, elections do have consequences Well, this is not the post I thought I would be writing today. And, after twenty years of living outside of the country, this is not the America, or rather the Americans, I thought I knew. In the America I remember, a president who drove the economy into the ground, who passed a health care law that no body wanted and which will further injure the fragile economy, who totally destabilized the Middle-East, who left four Americans, including an Ambassador, to dir in a hell hole in Libya to die, who talk about the reason […]

Are you a staunch defender of liberty?

Sentry Journal had a good post the other day that got me thinking- are there any real difference today between the Obama-led Democratic Party and the Tories of colonial times? …You see the actions of our elected representatives are in complete contrast of the actions these men took 236 years ago. Our elected representatives to include the President are the kind of ilk our founders were declaring independence from. We’re living with the same type tyrannical forces that were oppressing the rights of the colonists in the 1770s. Our government confiscates our property through taxation, they overregulate our free market, they can […]

Limbaugh Advertiser to Liberals: Bring it!

I’ve said, quite a few times, that while the leftists have an impressive punch, their play book is paper thin.  They do the typical astroturf email and phone harassment campaigns, send in thugs by the busload, and do the typical harassment of children, employers, and business associates.  However, in reality, they are very small, yet highly organized.  They count on being far more noisy than their actual influence would indicate.  In other words, they make a ton of noise, but it’s just that-noise.  Then, if one buys into the “fact” that the protesters actually represent anything more than the Democratic party, they give in, and the […]

If Voter Fraud Never Happens, Why is a NAACP Official in Prison for it?

We’ve been covering the massive voter fraud machine that seems to work along with the Democratic Party.  We’ve also been rather pleased that authorities all over the US are proposing measures to curb it.  However, those same organisations that have been accused or caught engaging in fraud, are opposing measures to stop it.  Among their claims, is that it doesn’t happen.  But, as usual, reality crushes the narrative.  As for the latest example, a former NAACP official was caught voting multiple times by absentee ballot.   In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official […]

Professor Epstein: Obama is Incoherent and Frightening

Here is what Richard A. Epstein, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Professor of Law at New York University Law School, and senior lecturer at the University of Chicago, had to say regarding the major speech that President Barack Obama (one-term Democrat) gave at Osawatomie, Kansas: The painful ignorance that is revealed in these remarks augurs ill for the long-term recovery of America. With the president firmly determined to set himself against the tides of progress, innovation will be harder to come by. The levels of unemployment will continue to be high as the president works overtime to impose additional restrictions on the labor markets and more taxes at the […]

When will traditional Democrats wake up and realize their party has changed?

Democrat Moonbat Seal

Lately I’ve been thinking a great deal about the Democratic Party and its dramatic shift to the left in recent years. Most of us have witnessed this extreme lurch to the left and find ourselves asking how did we go from fighting socialism and communism to one of our major political parties embracing many of tenets of these ideologies in some aspect?  How did we go from rewarding success based on individual effort to taking the wealth from the successful and redistributing it?  The answer is really not that complex.  The reason for this dramatic shift is due to the rise of the […]

Manhattan Infidel Presents: The Dogmatic Constitution of the Democratic Party

Many of my readers have asked me for more information on our political parties. And with the Presidential election a year away I am more than happy to give that information. After all, I want my readers to make an informed choice based on principle and not, like I do, vote for the candidate with the hottest daughter. And so, in the spirit of our Republic, I now present the Dogmatic Constitution of the Democratic Party: Preamble What was from the beginning, what we have heard what we have seen with our eyes, what we looked upon and touched with […]
