Ouch: Newspaper Apologizes To Its Readers For Endorsing Obama In 2008…

Via Free Beacon:

The Billings Gazette apologized on Friday for its 2008 endorsement of Barack Obama for president in an editorial titled “Gazette opinion: Obama earned the low ratings.”

The Gazette said it missed George W. Bush and the “good ol’ days when we were at least winning battles in Iraq.”

It recapped several mistakes Obama has made during his presidency:

  • Obama has also failed on energy policy by not approving the Keystone XL pipeline, which could be helpful to the economy.
  • He has failed in Iraq; the country is now on the brink of civil war.
  • The Gazette wrote that the Bowe Bergdahl exchange made the Obama administration seem incompetent.
  • The VA system has been mismanaged by the Obama administration, leading to veterans dying before they could receive medical care.
  • Obama has also broken his promise to become the “most transparent administration in history.” The Gazette said the president’s administration is so opaque that is has earned a reputation worse than that of Richard Nixon.

Lee Iacocca Endorses Romney

Lee Iacocca, champion of the Ford Mustang and the Chrysler minivan, and long-time Democratic supporter, has endorsed Mitt Romney.  Human Events has more…

After a lifetime of voting for and supporting Democrats — and even declining appointment to the U.S. Senate from a Democratic governor — Lee Iacocca Thursday endorsed Republican Mitt Romney for president.

The blessings of the onetime Chrysler chairman are expected to help Romney in two highly competitive states: Pennsylvania, where the 88-year-old Iacocca was born and raised and is still widely respected, and in Michigan, where Iacocca rose to become a major figure in the auto industry and won international praise for cobbling together the government-backed loans that saved Chrysler in 1980.

Iacocca, who now lives in California, issued a statement saying he backed Romney because of his “dozens of years of experiences in the public and private sectors” and because the GOP nominee has a plan that “will enable a stronger America.”

I’m thinking that after everything that has happened in the last four years, that even more democratic supporters aren’t jumping ship.

“… implicit bias does not mean that people are hiding their racial prejudices. They literally do not know they have them.”

If you’re against Obama, you’re not an anti-Communist or a Constitutionalist, or even  a mere Republican, says the chicane social science of Implicit Bias — you’re a racist.  And, short of pledging allegiance to the Big Red One, there’s no way you can demonstrate you’re not.

This is the latest loose screw plucked from a rusty Red toolbox filled with nuts, by which the campaign to re-elect Barack Obama plans to mortize its opponents. Designed to prove the existence of prejudice wherever it doesn’t exist, Implicit Bias is the modern liberal’s version of the Malleus Maleficarum (“Hammer of the Witches” in Latin; “Der Hexenhammer” in German):

The main purpose of the Malleus was to attempt to systematically refute arguments claiming that witchcraft does not exist, discredit those who expressed skepticism about its reality, to claim that witches were more often women than men, and to educate magistrates on the procedures that could find them out and convict them. (Wikipedia)

Substitute “racist” for “witch” and “Republicans” for “women”, and you get the idea.  On the other hand, if what you’re looking for are hardcore Communists, you need not invoke any specious, neo-Freudian theories of a hopelessly bigoted subconscious in order to locate as many as you want inside the Obama camp:

Obama’s Communist Party Endorsement

[…] why does the CPUSA, in speaking to its own members, urge them to support Obama by citing the very policies and decisions that Obama himself is most proud of?

The answer is as unavoidable as it is straightforward: the Communist Party regards Barack Obama’s signature achievements and defining principles as consistent with, and conducive to, its own defining goal — namely, the establishment of a socialist workers’ state in America.

… the Communist Party loves the same Obama policies and accomplishments that the Democratic Party establishment loves, that the mainstream media loves, that the unions love, and that Charles Schumer, Jennifer Granholm, Harry Reid, and Dick Durbin love.  They want more of the same.  The CPUSA sees what most of us see, and what the Democratic Party would somehow like to keep its permanent underclass — um, that is, its voter base — from seeing: the Obama agenda is driving America “forward” on “the Road to Socialism.”  The only difference is that the communists are honest enough to spell it out.

When the man purporting to preside over the United States spends more time golfing than attending economic meetings, skips 56% of his national security briefings, and earns the support of the Communist Party, it’s not racism that motivates his opponents — it’s common sense.

Obama wins Coveted Communist Party Endorsement

For a POTUS isn’t  a Communist, the Communist Party USA sure is interested in him staying in office.  Stacey McCain has more…

While Obama is officially the candidate of the Democrat Party, he’s also got the endorsement of the Communist Party:

Re-electing Obama is not sufficient to bring economic recovery or even relief to our people. Only a different class configuration in political power can do necessary minimum reforms to give us a chance. But re-electing Obama is absolutely essential. Now is not the time for hand washing the complexities and tactics away — or failing to triage the most critical questions from those that are less critical. We cannot win everything at once!

Um, so if the POTUS most definately NOT a commie, why are the commies so wanting him to stay in office?

I think we all know the answer to that.

Santorum Wins the Important Megadeth Endorsement

Share

In an, shall we say, interesting turn of events, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has endorsed Rick Santorum for POTUS…

“Earlier in the election, I was completely oblivious as to who Rick Santorum was, but when the dude went home to be with his daughter when she was sick, that was very commendable,” Mustaine recently told MusicRadar.com.  “… You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities, and I’m hoping that if it does come down to it, we’ll see a Republican in the White House… and that it’s Rick Santorum.”

What this means for Santorum is unclear, but what is clear is that Mustaine gets it….

“I’m just hoping that whatever is in the White House next year is a Republican,” he said. “I can’t bear to watch what’s happened to our great country. Everybody’s got their head in the sand. Everybody in the industry is like, ‘Oh, Obama’s doing such a great job. …’ I don’t think so. Not from what I see.”

Well, that was somewhat of a surprise to me, but he at least seems to be observing what is going on in the country.  And, since we discussed a metal band, I thought a video would be in order…
