The site is working juuuuuuuuussssssst fine.

The site is working juuuuuuuuussssssst fine.

With the December 1st deadline now past for the Healthcare.Gov website problems to be fixed I, like most Americans, wonder if the site has indeed been fixed and what the process was. With this in mind I was lucky enough to snag an interview with the HHS Secretary herself, Kathleen Sebelius.

MI: Good afternoon Ms. Sebelius.  Thank you for meeting with me.

KB: It’s not my fault!

MI: What?

KB: Sorry.  I mean, I am proud to announce that we have made the December 1st deadline and the Healthcare.Gov website is up and running!  All glitches have been fixed!

MI: That’s fantastic news.  So I can log in now?

KB: Yes.  No.

MI: I’m sorry.  What?

KB: Yes the website is up and running.  No.  You cannot log in.

MI: I’m confused.

KB: That’s okay.  You’re not part of the elite.  It’s only natural you’d be confused.

MI: So which is it.  Has the site been fixed and can I log on?

KB: As I explained before the site is up and running perfectly and no you cannot log on.

MI: Why?

KB: You cannot log on because we do not want to overload the site.

MI: But you said the site had been fixed.

KB: It is.  It is running perfectly.  But you cannot log on.  No one should log onto it because it’ll overload the system.

MI: But…but you said…..you said it’s working fine!  It’s working fine!

KB: [Sigh]  You still don’t understand.  It is working absolutely fine. But don’t log on. You’ll crash the system.

MI: So there are still problems with it?  Is that what you are saying?

KB: No.  It’s working fine.  But no one should log onto it.  That’ll crash the system. But I already said that.  Are you stupid?

MI: No I’m not stupid.  I just want some answers.

KB: We are quite proud of the Healthcare.Gov website.  It’s a miracle of software engineering.

MI:  So it’s working fine?

KB: Yes.  It’s running so perfectly we don’t want anyone to log onto it.

MI: I –

KB: We are declaring the Healthcare.Gov website a Federally protected wetland.  As such it will remain pristine and un-logged in for our children and our grandchildren. It will remain forever untouched.  Just like me.

MI: Federally protected wetland? It’s a website for god’s sake.

KB:  A federally protected pristine website that is running perfectly.

MI:  Can I go now?

KB: Yes.  You can go.  And perhaps you can spread the word to your friends that the Healthcare.Gov website is now running perfectly.  Just don’t try to log on or the EPA will fine your ass.

MI:  Um. Okay.

You heard it here first readers.  The Healthcare.Gov website is up and running perfectly.  Just don’t try to log on.

Hello Americans of all races, religions and sexual preferences!  I am Kathleen Sebelius the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. And yes, I am a human woman.

I am not an animal! I am a human being!

No.  I am not a Romulan woman who’s had her ears scaled back.  I am a fully functioning human though many have mistaken me for a Romulan.  Silly isn’t it?  I mean I’m not even closely related to Vulcans like the Romulans are.  Look, I am not an animal, I am a human being!  So knock it off!

Anyway.  What did I want to talk about?

Oh yes.

As you know the so-called holiday of Thanksgiving is fast approaching.  But what you may not know is that Thanksgiving was promulgated by the white man after massacring native Americans of color.  And yes I realize that the noble race of native Americans were here on this continent before the country of America the slave holders came into existence so calling them “Americans” is an insult but “native American” is easier to type on my English language keyboard than finding a software program that’ll type in a dialect of the indigenous peoples of this continent.

Oh I’m sure there are software programs that do just that but here at the Department of Health and Human Services I am too busy trying to undo the damage caused by triumphalist American culture to go online and search for it.

Because we at the Department of Health and Humans Services are all about two things:  protecting the health of all Americans and screwing the Catholic Church.

Did I say we were about two thing?  I’m sorry.  Three things:  protecting the health of all Americans, undoing the damage caused by meat-based culture and screwing the Catholic Church.

Did you know the Catholic Church is run by white men?  And that can’t be good.

Anyway I’m sure you are probably looking forward to a traditional Thanksgiving with lots of turkey followed by a few games of American football.  (And isn’t typical of arrogant Americans?  Stealing the name of football from non-racist, socialist Europeans and applying it to a game that has nothing to do with feet.  God.  Americans make me sick.)

Oh yes.  I’m sure you are looking forward to that meal.  Sounds like fun doesn’t it? Maybe to the dull-witted it does.

Lift up your minds Americans!

Meat is murder!  And your so-called game of football is violent, misogynistic and encourages testosterone-laden behavior.  Typical testosterone-laden behavior I’d expect from the soon to be crushed Catholic Church.

And so, under the authority granted to me by the Affordable Care Act I am banning the consumption of meat, meat by-products and any sandwiches sold at Blimpies which may or may not be meat or meat by-products.  (We’re still testing them at HHS to find out exactly what they are.)

I am also banning the so-called game of football.  (Did a Catholic invent this game?  I wouldn’t be surprised.)

I am also changing the name of this holiday.  Thanksgiving? What have you to be thankful for?  Thousands of years of northern European aggression, patriarchy and poor dietary choices?

No.  The new name will be “Redistribution Day.“  It is my hope that by calling it “Redistribution Day” we will remember that there are fat cat bankers and capitalists in our midst who aren’t paying their fair share.  Just like the Catholic Church.

And instead of meat why not eat something the government wants you to eat such as carrots or Brussels sprout?

And instead of so-called football why not watch the WNBA?  Women’s basketball.  Truly a sport uninfluenced by testosterone.  What better way to lift up your minds than by watching seven-foot tall lesbians of color?

And so in closing I’d like to wish all my fellow Americans a very happy and joyous Redistribution Day.

Because we at the Department of Health and Human Services are all about two, no three, no four things:  protecting the health of all Americans, undoing the damage caused by meat-based culture, social engineering and screwing the Catholic Church.

That is all.

Government Now Decides Who Lives and Who Dies

Share

We’ve been warning people that allowing the government to control the health care of all Americans will lead to unelected bureaucrats deciding who lives and who dies.  Here is a great example…

For those who may not yet know, Sarah Murnaghan is a 10-year-old girl from Pennsylvania, who suffers from end-stage Cystic Fibrosis. She needs a lung transplant, and is on the UNOS waiting list. Unfortunately, child donor lungs are extremely rare, and the cut-off age for adult lungs is 12. Sarah is medically eligible to receive adult donor lungs, but can not be placed on that list due to current UNOS/HHS policy.

In response to U.S. Representative Lou Barletta’s (R-PA11) impassioned plea to make the policy change that could save young Sarah’s life, Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Kathleen Sebelius indicated that she is unable to unilaterally change policy to save a child’s life. Appalingly, she did so while making the cavalier assertion that “someone lives, someone dies“. By not taking any action, the Secretary has, in fact, determined that someone dies.

Now, we also have insights, after the IRS scandals, that people are singled out due to their political affiliations for “punishment,” how long is it until the “opposition” starts getting denied life saving care?

“I Promise!!” Barack Obama’s Great Deception on Obamacare Premiums

Share

money-stethescope

Remember way back to the 2008 Presidential campaign? Then Senator Obama made a promise, one he repeated over and over for the next few years. Here’s a reminder of what he said:

“If you’ve got insurance through your employer, you can keep your insurance. We estimate we can cut the average family’s premium by about $2,500 per year. If you don’t have health insurance, then we’re going to provide you the option of buying into the same kind of federal pool that both Sen. McCain and I enjoy as federal employees. We’re going to make sure insurance companies can’t discriminate on the basis of pre-existing conditions. We’ll negotiate with the drug companies for the cheapest available prices. We are going to invest in information technology to eliminate bureaucracy and make the system more efficient. We’ve got to put more money into preventive care.” – Senator Barack Obama, 2008

This figure that Obama kept spouting ad nauseum was derived from a memo by three Harvard professors that were unpaid advisers to the Obama campaign. Their memo cites their “best guess” of annual savings of $200 billion. They then divided that by the U.S. population, multiplied out to represent a family of four, then they rounded down to get to the $2500 figure.
However, we ultimately got confirmation of something that just about every logical thinking American knew for the truth – that Obamacare would not drive costs down, but it would have the opposite effect and inflate healthcare costs across the board.

“During his first run for president, Barack Obama made one very specific promise to voters: He would cut health insurance premiums for families by $2,500, and do so in his first term.
But it turns out that family premiums have increased by more than $3,000 since Obama’s vow, according to the latest annual Kaiser Family Foundation employee health benefits survey.
Premiums for employer-provided family coverage rose $3,065 — 24% — from 2008 to 2012, the Kaiser survey found. Even if you start counting in 2009, premiums have climbed $2,370.
What’s more, premiums climbed faster in Obama’s four years than they did in the previous four under President Bush, the survey data show.” – SOURCE

Now fast forward to today and what does Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius have to say about Obamacare?

“These folks will be moving into a really fully insured product for the first time, and so there may be a higher cost associated with getting into that market,” she said. “But we feel pretty strongly that with subsidies available to a lot of that population that they are really going to see much better benefit for the money that they’re spending.”
Ms. Sebelius added that those customers currently pay more for their health care if their plans have high out-of-pocket costs, high deductibles or exclude particular types of coverage, such as mental health treatment. She also said that some men and younger customers could see their rates increase while women and older customers could see their rates drop because the law restricts insurers’ ability to set rates based on age and gender.” – SOURCE

Now that the election is over, and Mr. Obama is safely ensconsed as President Obama for a second term, and as we are starting to see the mal effects of Obama’s policies more and more of the undeniable truth is being revealed.
But it isn’t only individual and family insurance costs that are costing more, the states are on the hook for billions more healthcare costs, as well.

“The additional cost to employers in states that do not expand Medicaid has been estimated as $1.3 billion a year. Of course, if Medicaid is expanded, that’s another fleecing for we, the taxpaying sheep. If we’re going to get our pockets picked anyway, subsidizing businesses sounds like it would be cheaper. And that’s what waiving the notorious “individual mandate” or business mandates amounts to, because the purpose of those mandates is to force every American to buy health insurance right away, rather than waiting until they get sick and invoking that “must cover pre-existing conditions” mandate.
Governor Rick Perry of Texas, which is resisting Medicaid expansion, made this point through a spokeswoman: “This is not free money from the federal government – it’s either being borrowed from China or taken out of taxpayers’ pockets. The state and federal government can’t afford the current Medicaid program as is, and it’s financially irresponsible to continue expanding a program that we know to be broken.”

Turns out the Affordable Care Act isn’t so affordable after all…

Happy Thanksgiving from Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services

MSM, Leftists Predicting Doom for Romney: Don’t Fall for it

Share

The MSM, and the left (or do I repeat myself?) are using the super secret campaign event video to tar Romney-for telling the truth, mind you-and are predicting doom and gloom for the campaign.  To summarize, I have the following statement…

DON’T FALL FOR IT!

To see through the nonsense, you have to consider a few facts…

1.  The MSM has been cooking the poll numbers for…well…forever.  If you need confirmation of that, consult Da Tech Guy, who has been on top of it.  In fact, if you want to know one poll more than any other, read this one.  The reasoning is simple; the MSM wants to SHAPE public opinion, not reflect it.  The want to demoralize us, and cause us to give up.  Also, they want to cover the fact that Obama has a MASSIVE enthusiasm problem.

2.  We can NEVER discuss the economy.  The numbers are at best, stagnant, and at the worst, staring down a precipice.  The more stories that can be spewed and spun that are off that topic, the better, for the left, that is.

3.  The MSM will continue to ignore facts that do not  favor the POTUS.  Kathleen Sebelius violated federal law?  Not a story!  Libya warned us of the embassy attacks days in advance?  Didn’t happen!  Fast and Furious?  What, me worry?  Scores of Catholic organizations sue over ObamaCare?  Hmmm, What?  That will continue folks, and when economic numbers come out that don’t show Obama in a good light, it’ll be fudged, spun, or ignored.

I could probably go on and on, but you get the point.  Obama is the one that is facing doom in November, n0t Romney.  And, in spite of the MSM spin to the contrary, have faith that Obama is quite defeatable.

Oh, and by the way, Mother Jones released the full Obama video, but it appears to be slightly less full than originally stated.  Go figure!

Now, before my Catholic friends come and promise me eternal damnation, allow me to first say that many Catholics, while initially duped, have awakened to the danger posed by Obama.  They are on the list because so many ignored the obvious warning signs.  They were out there, and many were published either here, or on numerous other blogs.

At any rate, thanks for the nominations, and please take part in the poll.

ObamaCare Damage: We Don’t Need no Re-education

Share

Well, according to Kathleen Sebelius, yes we do.  Apparently, we are terrible misinformed about ObamaCare, and require some “re-education” to correct this.  For some background, here is some coverage from Ben Domenech at Big Government.

“We have a lot of Re-education to do,” Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said this week. And no wonder — once you’ve started with Rationing and Redistribution, it’s the third R of out-of-control government!

Sebelius claims senior citizens need the re-education the most, because they “have been a target of a lot of the misinformation.” Of course, what’s really happened is that Americans have learned more about Obama’s law, and what they’ve learned, they don’t like. The facts are now inescapable, for Sebelius and for the politicians who advocated for this measure — facts that detail the false nature of the case advanced by the president and his allies, and the true ramifications of this wrongheaded reform package foisted upon the American people. They’ve learned that they can’t keep their plan, even if they like it; they can’t count on lower costs; they can’t count on lower deficits; and they can count on more bureaucracy, more rationing, and more IRS involvement in your daily life.

Today, fewer than one-in-three Americans believe their family will be better off under ObamaCare. The same survey Nancy Pelosi touted last month as showing some positive views on the measure illustrates the movement. The Kaiser Family Foundation found that “support for health reform fell over the course of August, dipping from a 50 percent favorability rating in July to 43 percent, while 45 percent of the public reported unfavorable views.”

Americans have these views because of the litany of broken promises within Obamacare, detailed across thousands of websites, hundreds of reports and dozens of research papers released since its passage. They have these views not because they need to be taught a lesson by Kathleen Sebelius, but because they’ve noticed how the politicians and activists with all those big promises are awfully quiet now. They can’t even make the claim that the legislation will reduce costs or lower the deficit any more without getting laughed out of the room.

Yes, it is true, there is a great deal of information out there about ObamaCare, but it seems that none of it “misses” the mark.  Here are some posts from the CH 2.0 that chronicle the failure that is ObamaCare…

  • Exploitable Crisis
  • ObamaCare Taxes Exposed
  • ObamaCare Causes People to Lose Plans
  • ObamaCare Keeps Granny From ER
  • Doctors Quit Medicare
  • Less Hospitals Under ObamaCare
  • Waxman Backs off Corporations
  • The Death Panels are Real
  • Democrats Lied About ObamaCare Costs
  • Exposing ObamaCare Lies
  • Yes, when people lose their doctors, it’s misinformation, even though it’s happening.  When people lose their coverage?  It’s also misinformation, even thought it’s happening.  When costs have gone up for both employers and employees?  Forget that it’s actually happening, your government says it’s misinformation!  In fact, ObamaCare is such a fraud, that even though it should be touted as the Democrats biggest win, they are forced to fib about it.

The presentation’s final page of “Don’ts” counsels against claiming “the law will reduce costs and deficit.”

The presentation advises, instead, sales pitches that play on personal narratives and promises to change the legislation.

“People can be moved from initial skepticism and support for repeal of the law to favorable feelings and resisting repeal,” it says.  “Use personal stories — coupled with clear, simple descriptions of how the law benefits people at the individual level — to convey critical benefits of reform.”

In other words, lawmakers have received their marching orders, and told to use “personal”  stories instead of the overall reality when discussing this turkey!  Of course, they will not share the “personal stories” of people that have lost their doctors, lost their coverage, or are paying more for less coverage.

As for the re-education, how does Sebelius hope to get people to ignore reality?  When more comes out of their paycheck for insurance coverage, will she convince them that more really means less?  When they lose their doctor, will she convince them that it really didn’t happen?  Good luck with that, I doubt there will be any success.
