Remember Black Power? Now we’re facing Alien Power. Forget Obama’s executive orders. Without going through the immigration process on the books, an illegal does not become legal, even though Congress buries their heads. Ohio’s Attorney General, Jon Husted, warned that issuing social security numbers to illegal aliens can [likely will] affect the integrity of our elections. While the SS number doesn’t make it legal to vote, it makes it easier to vote illegally. In Obama’s DREAMer amnesty, reports are that 90,000 received a social security number, which suggests that the 5+ million illegals Obama is planning to amnesty, have a better than good chance of receiving the same benefit.Since Obama’s late 2014 amnesty announcement, no one knows how many social security IDs have been issued. The Senate has been forced to ask, and are still awaiting an answer.

Look at all those black bars–only three found among the southern states, and more southern states require a photo ID than any other regions on the map.

Can you imagine a problem bigger than handing out taxpayer dollars to illegals? I can. Dwarfing all other issues is the ease of illegals finding a way to vote.

According to Husted, the fact that Obama’s executive amnesty will enable millions of illegal immigrants to obtain Social Security numbers and driver’s licenses represents the root of the problem, as under federal law any person with those forms of identification can register vote if they claim eligibility.

In short, by enabling millions of non-citizens to access valid forms of the types of identification required to register to vote, the recent executive actions have increased the risk that non-citizens may illegally register to vote and vote in our elections,” he wrote.

The Supreme Court struck down Arizona’s attempts to use only the Arizona Voter Registration form, which makes it more difficult to vote illegally.

…The “honor system” currently used by federal forms is less-than-adequate to prevent non-citizens from voting. Sam Wercinski of executive director of the Arizona Advocacy Network, which has been fighting Horne’s efforts, emphasized the problem inadvertently with quotes to the news media on Wednesday about the ruling:

“They sign under oath,” Wercinski said. “In America, does our signature under oath no longer hold any weight?”

Yes — it holds no weight. Source

Attorneys General from both Kansas and Ohio point to the real problem–the major loophole:

While stressing that it remains illegal for noncitizens to vote, secretaries of state from Ohio and Kansas said they won’t have the tools to sniff out illegal immigrants who register anyway, ignoring stiff penalties to fill out the registration forms that are easily available at shopping malls, motor vehicle bureaus and in curbside registration drives.

Anyone registering to vote attests that he or she is a citizen, but Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted said mass registration drives often aren’t able to give due attention to that part, and so illegal immigrants will still get through. Source: Washington Times

We can’t verify voters, we can’t control visa visitors who overstay their visas, and we can’t stop issuing social security benefits to the dead. How proud are we say that 6.5 million 112-year-olds are still on active roles, whether they receive a check or not. In fall of 2014, only 42 people, worldwide were known to be 112.

The Social Security administration employs 65,000, presumably, the majority with a computer, and programs to suss out the illegal, including the dead. The annual budget is $736 billion (some sources $851 billion).

The Government Accountability Office said Social Security has trouble maintaining the Death Master File, and other agencies have difficulties in getting the information to update their own files and halt payments to those no longer alive to collect benefits. Source: Washington Times

In  2013, the SS Administration paid out more than $8 BILLION in “improper payments.” Can you even begin to guess at the bonuses paid out, or how long these SSA workers have been on the job and abusing taxpayers?

Later in 2012, in Washington, D.C., one of [James] O’Keefe’s assistants was able to obtain Attorney General Eric Holder’s ballot even though Holder is 62 years old and bears no resemblance to the 22-year-old white man who obtained it merely by asking if Eric Holder was on the rolls. But the Department of Justice, which is currently suing Texas to block that state’s photo-ID law, dismissed the Holder ballot incident as “manufactured.” The irony was lost on the DOJ that Holder, a staunch opponent of voter-ID laws, could have himself been disenfranchised by a white man because Washington, D.C., has no voter-ID law. Polls consistently show that more than 70 percent of Americans — including clear majorities of African Americans and Hispanics — support such laws. Source: John Fund, National Review

Red Statements:

La Raza, the radical group supporting illegal immigration is providing a map that was created by the Washington Post that explains where people can vote without providing an ID.  This is an effort to circumvent US law and allow illegal democrats voters to vote for democrats in an effort to avoid the tsunami due to arrive on November 4th.  Let me point out that under an honest government, La Raza would be considered a co-defendant in any trial involving an illegal alien voting.

According to the graphic above, my state of Oklahoma “requests,” but does not “require” an ID, and a photo ID is not necessary. The ladies behind the table ask to see my ID, and I always produce my driver’s license. If I refused my DL or my photoless Oklahoma voter ID card, I guess I would still be allowed to vote. Sad for such a conservative state. Citizen Power disappearing. Alien Power rising.

Did Your State Raise Its Minimum Wage Today?

Hat/Tip to WeaselZippers.

Well, way to go lefties! Now the price of eggs and milk and, well just about EVERY FREAKIN’ THING at the grocery store is going to go up in price! Not to mention the cost of a Big Mac, or Whopper or etc…

At the stroke of midnight today, 19 states increased their minimum wage. Residents of three more and the nation’s capital can expect hikes later on this year.

A year ago, the White House and Democratic lawmakers embarked on a campaign to make the minimum wage a defining issue in the 2014 elections. And although that didn’t pan out exactly as planned at the federal level, nearly half the states took action on the issue.

In his State of the Union address last January, President Obama urged members of Congress to pass bills from Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, and Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10.

“Say yes,” Obama said. “Give America a raise.”

Federal legislation was met with resistance. though. Republicans argued raising the minimum wage would cause an increase in prices for consumers and low-wage workers likely would face layoffs as companies grappled with the higher costs associated with hiked wages.

Some of those concerns were validated last month by a University of California, San Diego, study. For three years, researchers followed low-income workers residing in states that saw wage hikes and those that did not. The study found that minimum wage hikes had negative impacts on employment, income and income growth.[…]

“Minimum wage supporters have good intentions, but those good intentions cannot repeal the law of unintended consequences,” James Sherk, an expert in labor economics at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal. He added:

Minimum-wage increases reduce the total earnings of low-wage workers — the higher pay for some workers gets completely offset by the nonexistent pay of those no longer employed.

In its study, UCSD researchers found that after minimum-wage increases, the national employment-to-population ratio decreased by 0.7 percent points between December 2006 and December 2012.

In addition, the study found that minimum-wage increases hindered low-skilled workers’ ability to rise to lower-middle -lass earnings.

Despicable Prank!!!! So Wrong!!

ice bucket prank on autistic boy

A boy living in Ohio was the victim of an atrocious prank. The boy thought that he was participating in the ALS ice bucket challenge but instead other high school students played a cruel, vile prank pouring human waste and cigarette butts on the boy.  Plus, the pranksters even went so low as to make a video of their bullying the boy with autism.  Sick!!!  Friggin awful!!  I feel so sorry for the autistic boy.  Drew Carey is spot on when saying that after these teens who committed this horrible act are found, they should be arrested and expelled from school.  What these boys did crosses way over the line of just being a prank.  These bullies need to be punished.  Drew Carey has even offered a reward to find the bullies who did this repulsive act against the boy.  If the reward isn’t needed Drew is going to make a donation to the organization Autism Speaks. This is utterly sickening and I can’t imagine how this boy is suffering right now.

Editor’s Note:
The following statement was posted on YouTube with above video.

**The family asked that we show the video to make other parents aware of bullying.**

Hat/Tip to Fox8.

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio – Police are investigating an alleged case of bullying involving a teenager with autism who took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

“Once we found out about it, we were just horrified,” said Diane, the mother of the Bay High School student. She claimed her youngest son was videotaped as feces, urine, spit and cigarette butts were dumped on his head by a group of juveniles.

“I want these kids held accountable for what they did to him and they targeted somebody who just didn’t really understand what was going on,” she said.

FOX 8 News is not identifying the family by last name to help protect their son.

According to the victim’s mom, Diane, the video was discovered on her 15-year-old son’s cell phone. She, along with her husband and other son, Jacob, wants it to be made public.

“I mean, the first thing that popped into my mind was like, why could someone – how could someone do this?” said Jacob. “How could someone really be this cruel to someone?”

In the video, the boy with autism is seen standing in the driveway of a home off school grounds. He’s wearing only his underwear as a bucket of fluid is poured from the roof of the garage. The bucket allegedly contained a mix of bodily fluids instead of ice water.

“He was embarrassed because he did not know what the contents were until afterwards and then he didn’t want anybody to know,” said his mom. “They used his phone to tape it and they put it up on Instagram.”

“This is just too far. It’s really bad,” said his brother, Jacob.

The Bay Village Police Department was made aware of the alleged incident on Wednesday. According to Det. Kevin Krolkosky, criminal charges could be filed.

“It’s disturbing to watch, you can obviously tell that somebody has been taking advantage of there,” said the detective.

Det. Krolkosky met with the parents and said it’s not a prank; it’s possibly a crime committed on the boy with autism by a group of juveniles who could face delinquency charges.

A spokesperson for Bay High School, where the victim is a student, said they’re now working hand-in-hand with police as they investigate.

“Obviously, if possible, we do want to hold those individuals accountable for their actions,” said Det. Krolkosky.

The police are just beginning their investigation and we’re told it could take a few weeks to file charges but they have a good idea who was involved.

“The bucket challenge is supposed to be raising awareness for this disease and now they’ve turned it into a sick joke,” said the victim’s mom. “I just can’t understand why kids would do something this cruel.”

The boy’s mom and dad wanted the video released to make other parents aware of bullying so they’ll have a conversation with their kids on how to treat people.

Cedarville Christian University Fired Boehner Challenger J.D. Winteregg, Then Called for Boehner to Pass Immigration

Dr. William Brown is Ohio’s Cedarville University chancellor. John Boehner is Brown’s congressman. One of the Cedarville professors, J.D. Winteregg, had the audacity to challenge Speaker Boeher and do it with humor and pith. A racy ‘Cialis’ takeoff campaign ad went viral, and adjunct professor Winteregg promptly lost his job. The two prior Boehner challengers lost their jobs as well, while the campaign was under way.

J.D. and Aimee Winteregg
J.D. and Aimee Winteregg

But we can understand, Cedarville is a Christian University, and that Cialis-takeoff was just too much for all those Christian college students who have been watching these ads, and far worse, for years. The speculation — the school had to do it — a matter of principle, don’t you know? But no, no principle involved in this decision. Pure politics at Cedarville University.

The Daily Caller exclusively reported Monday that Boehner’s tea party primary challenger J.D. Winteregg was fired from his job as an adjunct professor at Ohio’s Cedarville University for running an anti-Boehner campaign ad accusing the speaker of “Electile Dysfunction.” Winteregg is challenging Boehner in the district’s May 6 Republican primary.

“I would say the raciness of it, sure,” was the reason the Christian college fired Winteregg, Cedarville University spokesman Mark Weinstein told TheDC, referring to the sexual innuendo in Winteregg’s ad. Weinstein also told that “(At Cedarville) we don’t get into politics.”

But Cedarville University chancellor Dr. William Brown participated in a press conference Monday in Ohio calling for Boehner, his congressman, to pass immigration reform. Brown participated in the event one day before joining a group of pastors in flying to Washington, D.C. to meet with their representatives to discuss the issue. Cedarville University has featured an internship in Boehner’s congressional office as an official discipline-related experience for students.

These are the Christians of the National Council of Churches, folks. You must not underestimate them.

Ohio Poll Worker Sentenced for Five Years for Voter Fraud, That Never Happens

I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it's funny.
I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

That’s right folks, voter fraud never, ever happens.  Just ask any regressive, and they’ll tell you that.  And, since it never, ever, never happens, it’s really a shock that someone was found guilty of it.  We covered the story of the poll worker in Ohio.  She comottied the crime that never happens, and is now going to prison for it.

Good thing voter fraud never happens…

ObamaCare Damage: Ohio Rates to Rise 88%!

It’s ObamaCare Damage time yet again!  You were warned.  We told you that if people re-elected Obama, that people would be paying more for their health insurance.  Frankly, it was not due to any special insights or skills, unless you consider grasp of the obvious to be superhuman.  So, armed with nothing more than math and common sense, we were able to predict the increases in health insurance premiums.  Doug Ross has the latest example…

It’s another success story for central planning! Avik Roy explains:

…on Thursday, the Ohio Department of Insurance announced that, based on the rates submitted by insurers to date, the average individual-market health insurance premium in 2014 will come in around $420, “representing an increase of 88 percent” relative to 2013…

So then, yet another rate increase. But didn’t Obama promise reduced rates?

And didn’t Pelosi make the same promises?

So, if you believed the lies, and voted for Obama, you really voted for increased premiums.  Hope you enjoy that, because you asked for it.

Elections have consequences.

Election 2012 Wrap up: Voter Fraud Rampant in Spigot Cities

If you look at the map above, you will see that the most of the country was a sea of red.  The Blue areas are mostly centered on urban areas, which are predominantly controlled by Democrats.   Many of these Democratic bastions have been termed “spigot cities, ” designed to commit massive fraud to turn red states blue.  Before the election, The Blaze covered this…

J. Christian Adams, an author and former attorney for the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, spoke about the spigot cities on the BlazeTV documentary — “The Machine” — which delves into various forms of voter fraud and how it’s being perpetuated. Many believe it is ultimately resulting in a loss of freedom through a corrupt voting system.

Adams believes spigot cities are managed by the Obama campaigned with some involvement by the Voting Section of the Justice Department.

“Without the spigot being opened in Philly, without the spigot being opened in Saint Louis, without the spigot being opened in Detroit and Fort Lauderdale and– and– and places around the country like that, Milwaukee– Cleveland, Cincinnati, those states would not go blue,” Adams said on “The Machine.” “It requires massive turnout– in large unopposed numbers in those urban centers for those states to remain in– in the blue column. What you have, unfortunately, is pervasive systemic voter fraud in many of those places. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.”

So, did this materialize on election day?  Let’s take a look.  Here are some stories from the days following the election…

Voter Fraud in Boston

In Boston alone, in almost every single ward, there was a substantially higher number of votes than people actually registered to vote. See the following link for actual #’s:

Note that the link is to an official website from the City of Boston.  No conspiracy, no made up evidience.  It’s all public information, from the original source…

In other words, 129% of the registered voters on Boston cast a ballot.  But that isn’t fraud, right?

In Philadelphia, Democratic officials illegally removed Republican poll observers, and those same precincts has abnormally high turnout.  Imagine that!

Here is audio of the Republican officials being refused admittance…

Then, here are the results…

Across Philadelphia, GOP poll inspectors were forcibly (and illegally) removed from polling locations. Coincidentally (or not), Mr. Obama received “astronomical” numbers in those very same regions, including locations where he received “over 99%” of the vote.

Ward 4, which also had a poll watcher dressed in Obama attire, went massively for Obama. Mr. Obama received 99.5% of the vote, defeating Mr. Romney 9,955 to 55.

Is it odd that a county that expelled GOP inspectors and had people openly campaigning for Obama ended with 99.5% for Obama and 9955 votes for him? It’s up to you to decide.

The article mentions that voter turn out city wide was 60%, but in the precincts where the Republicans were removed, the turnout was abnormally high.  I wonder why?

Obama wins 108% of vote in an Ohio Country

It seems that more people showed up to vote in certain Ohio counties  than were registered.

Mr. Obama won Wood County in Ohio this year. That’s right, Mr. Obama won the majority of Wood County’s 108% of registered voters. That’s not a typo.

In 2012, 106,258 people in Wood County are registered to vote out of an eligible 98,213.

Secretary of College Democrats Morgan Holliger chimed in, “We won Wood County, we won Ohio.”

Mr. Obama did indeed win Wood County, along with its 108% of voters.

Half the Democratic ground game is voter turnout. The other half is voter fraud. Voter ID would make an impact on this game, but that would be just like the return of Segregation or something.

141% of registered voters cast ballots in St. Lucie County, Florida

Because it isn’t voter fraud…right?

On Tuesday only one precinct had less than 113% turnout. “The Unofficial vote count is 175,554 registered voters 247,713 vote cards cast (141.10% ). The National SEAL Museum, a St. Lucie county polling place, had 158.85% voter turn out, the highest in the county.”

The Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, had this to say concerning the 141% voter turnout: “They may have had something like that in Palm Beach County, but we’ve never seen that here.”

Then again, in the early voting, it was discovered that the fountain of youth existed in North Carolina…

In 2010 those problems surfaced meaningfully as indicated in the below voter fraud post from an earlier Charlotte Conservative Examiner article:

Perhaps in an effort to promote North Carolina as one of the healthiest States in the Nation, this latest voter twist comes to us from Susan Myrick of the Civitas Institute in North Carolina–not to be confused with Rep. Sue Myrick of NC who is unrelated. In a radio interview with local WBT Anchor Tara Servatious, Susan reports that she has been keeping track of the number of votes in North Carolina of individuals over the age of 110 years and apparently we have quite a few, over 410 of the 110 year olds–to be exact– actually voted via absentee ballot on October the 28th. Yes indeed, now it would appear that good ole NC has the market cornered on the Centenarian vote.

At latest count, Susan has garnered a total Absentee Ballot vote of over 2,660 people over the age of 110. Someone contact the Guiness Book and warm up the Ford, the Fountain of Youth exists and its right here in lovely NC. It’s no wonder people are moving here in droves–maybe the use of tobacco isn’t such a bad thing after all? But, on a more serious note, with all of the irregularities going on all over the place, we can now begin to wonder about a few things.

Apparently those ultra-healthy seniors over 110 have aged and are now astoundingly over 112 years old, and are still able to make it to the polls ahead of time.

So, as you can see, this is a factor in elections.  Also, this isn’t the complete number of stories on fraud, just some of the more egregious.  And not matter how much evidence is uncovered, the media will not cover it, and the Democrats vilify anyone who points it out.

NOTE:  I know the post image is photoshopped.  I think it’s funny, so I use it.

Voting Machines in Kansas and Ohio Change Romney Votes to Obama Votes

Early voting seems to have a purpose after all-to discover that voting machines are changing Romney votes into Obama votes.  As if by magic, of course.  the Lonely Conservative has more…

Has anyone heard of any instances of voting machines erring on the side of Mitt Romney? I haven’t. Everything I’ve heard is about voting machines changing votes for Romney into votes for Obama. It’s still going on.

According to the Marion Star, early voter Joan Stevens tried to cast her ballot for Mitt Romney, but the machine kept defaulting to Barack Obama.

“Upon selecting ‘Mitt Romney’ on the electronic touch screen, Barack Obama’s name lit up,” the Star reported, adding that it took Stevens three attempts before the correct vote would register.

“You want to vote for who you want to vote for, and when you can’t it’s irritating,” she said.

The Blaze reported Wednesday that a voter in Topeka, Kansas, also had problems casting her ballot for Mitt Romney.

A woman identified only as Nancy reportedly told The Blaze that “while her husband was casting a vote for Romney, the touchscreen highlighted Obama.”

“He played around with the field a little and realized that in order to vote for Romney, his finger had to be exactly on the mark,” she said in an email.

“She said ‘the invisible Obama field came down about 1/4 [of an inch]‘ into what should technically have been the Romney area. In a phone interview with TheBlaze, she explained further that her husband said he felt the area on the touchscreen that could be pushed to vote for Obama was larger than that for Romney,” Liz Klimas wrote. (Read More)

Here’s one hint for election day.  Make sure that before you confirm your choices, make sure that you are voting for the actual candidate of your choice. And, I think it bears repeating that no machine has been said to have turned Obama Votes into Romney votes.

Just sayin…

Attention Ohio Voters: President Obama Killed 200,000 Jobs in Your State

While the President wants Ohioans to vote for him,  Obama killed 200,000 jobs for those same citizens…

First, it was 20,000 jobs the Obama Administration delayed by punting a decision to approve the Keystone XL pipeline, which would bring 700,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada into the United States. Multiply that number by 10 and you have the amount of jobs the President is putting on hold by delaying a mineral lease sale in Ohio’s Wayne National Forest for oil and gas drilling. This decision kills jobs and denies Americans access to affordable energy.

The Washington Examiner reports that Wayne National Forest already has 1,300 oil and gas wells in operation, but access to Utica’s shale gas reserves would require hydraulic fracturing. The United States Department of Agriculture announced a six-month delay in the leasing of 3,000 acres in the forest to study the environmental effects of hydraulic fracturing. This decision not only delays access to the jobs and energy that Americans need now, but it blocks an important revenue source for federal and state governments. The Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program estimated that:

Natural gas and crude oil industry could help create and support more than 200,000 Ohio-based jobs from the leasing, royalties, exploration, drilling, production and pipeline construction activities for the Utica shale reserve. The state could experience an overall wage and personal-income boost of $12 billion by 2015 from industry spending.

The study also projects royalty payments to landowners, schools, businesses and communities could increase to as much as $1.6 billion by 2015—a number that exceeds the total amount of royalties distributed by Ohio’s natural gas and crude oil industry in the last decade. Total tax revenue from oil and gas exploration and development in the Utica shale formation from 2011 until 2015, including severance, commercial activity, ad valorem (property), federal, state and local taxes, is projected to be approximately $479 billion. Industry expenditures related to Utica shale development could generate approximately $12.3 billion in gross state product and result in a statewide output or sales of more than $23 billion.

This sounds like a win all around.  Jobs are plentiful, the tax base at all levels will be expanded.  But, Obama apparently thinks that 1,000,000 Obama phones is a proper vote-exchange medium.  But  jobs?  Those apparently don’t help out with the whole dependency thing.

I guess this won’t go on a government website as  “jobs saved or created,” will it?

More Reasons for the Obama Campaign to Panic? Collapse and Impending Doom on Election Day?

Yesterday, we discussed that the Obama Campaign’s allocation of funds and resources indicated that they are panicking, using scarce resources in places that a democrat incumbent should never have to defend this late in the game.  Today, however, even more indications of collapse and impending doom came to light.

Reason for Panic 1:  Dwindling Crowds at Obama Events…

In a related presidential campaign rally in Commerce City, Colorado, former President Bill Clinton was the designated cheerleader to speak to the gathered faithful. However, the rally, held at a Commerce City High School, wasn’t “optimal,” to use a phrase from President Obama. The school extended the gymnasium’s partition across the half-court line, so as to give the rally a more intimate setting.

This Obama rally was in start contrast to the Romney/Ryan rally held last week at Red Rocks which was filled to overflowing capacity and had to turn away thousands who attempted to attend the rally.

Can you spell e.t.h.u.s.i.a.s.m?  Apparently, team Romney has a ton, and team Obama…not so much.

Reason for Panic 2:  Romney Leading in Early Voting…

According to the Colorado Secretary of State’s reporting of early voting, Republican’s continue to lead the way in returning their early voting ballots. With total votes of 1,150,698, reported so far the breakdown is as follows;

Republican – 439,269 (38.2%)

Democrat – 404,870 (35.2%)

Undecided – 295,122 (25.6%)

If that keeps up, maybe the Democrats will shy away from early voting.  Though, they probably think that the truckloads full of “absentee ballots” that they have on hand will counter this.

Reason to Panic 3:  Obama Having a Hard Time Leading in Cooked Polls

But with one week to go the last gasp effort to rally the MSNBC troops took place today on Morning Joe as they touted the Quinnipiac/CBS?NYT polls Saying Obama is up 5 in Ohio with a week to go.

What really got me was their claim that the Quinnipiac poll was the “most accurate” and again playing the “poll denier” card. I’ve personally found their numbers the least believable and while they were talking about the fights in other states as an alternative to Ohio for Romney I looked up the internals of this Ohio/VA/Florida poll and found this:

After talking about how reliable Quinnipiac is, for 15 minutes and while I was tweeting out the D+8 samples in all of these states D+7 in Florida, they suddenly pivoted as Mark Halperin brought up the D+8 sample and people asked how can this be the case if Mitt is up by huge margins among independents in this poll?

Um, if you have a hard time leading in a poll that is over-sampled  to your side, how do you have confidence that you’re going to win the election?  It’s not looking good.

Reason to Panic 4:  Freefall in Michigan?

And, Obama is in a free-fall collapse in Michigan.
Business Insider reported:

President Barack Obama has seen a once-steady lead in Michigan decline to just 2 points in a recent poll, and Michigan has been thrown into “toss-up” status in the election’s final week.

The poll, from The Detroit News, finds Obama leading Republican rival Mitt Romney, 47.7 percent to 45 percent. That’s the second poll in a week that has shown an increasingly tight race in the state, including a Foster McCollum White Baydoun poll that showed the race virtually tied. And it comes as a pro-Romney super PAC, American Crossroads, includes Michigan in its $50 million, final-week ad buy.

Intriguingly, when comparing the Michigan poll to a new poll of Ohio released today, it shows that the race in Michigan is actually closer.

Only leading by 2.7 points?  With most polls, that will be within the margin of error.  And, if Democrats are over-sampled, as they are in most polls, it can spell doom for Obama.

Reason  to Panic 5:  Has Obama Lost Independents?

Take a look at this…

The evidence is piling up.  The Obama Campaign has many reasons to panic.  The problem is that as they panic, their lies will become more outlandish, and their ability to justify illegal acts to win will only be amplified.  It could get very interesting.

How can we Tell That the Obama Campaign is in Panic Mode?

There are some subtle, or not so subtle, signs that the Obama campaign is in panic mode.  Two stories covered that today.  The first is from Da Tech Guy…

I have been telling you for a while that the best way to determine what is happening is what people are saying, vs what people are doing.

Yesterday I was listening to Rush on a Minnesota radio station because all the local stations were all Sandy all the time and what did to my wondering eyes did appear but news of Bill Clinton going right there.

Now let’s be clear, There is the president, there is VP and there is Bill Clinton, these are the big guns for the Democrats and are not deployed lightly.

You are sending the single most valuable non-office asset the Democrats have to Minnesota? Not Colorado? Not Nevada, not Wisconsin, not Iowa, not Virginia but MINNESOTA?

How on earth do you justify this move with a week to go unless Obama is in trouble there and if Obama is in trouble in Minnesota then….

In other words, Obama is being forced to switch resources from battleground states, to traditional blue states, which she should already have in he bag.

But he doesn’t?

Stacey McCain also has commentary based in truth…

Yesterday, Jim Messina called the Romney super-PAC’s ad buy in Pennsylvania “desperate.”

Today? Yeah, Obama’s buying ads in Pennsylvania.

Does this mean Romney is going to win Pennsylvania? No, but it does mean that it’s close enough that Team Obama couldn’t afford to let Romney air ads unopposed in Pennsylvania. And this news, coming just four days after it was reported that Team Obama is buying ads in Minnesota, is the best indication that Democrat insiders know that the president’s re-election is seriously endangered.

Again, it seems that team Obama are forced to spread themselves thinner than they wanted. If they have to devote money or manpower to places that that should have wrapped up, not only does it mean that they are potentially losing those states, but it takes resources away from states that they need to fight Romney vigorously.  In other words, they are robbing Peter to pay Paul, and as a result, may lose it all.  Hence, panic mode might be setting in.

One Million in Ohio With “ObamaPhones.” Is the Administration Trying to “Buy” Votes?

We’ve covered the reaction to Romney’s great truth, also known as the “47% Speech.”  We’ve shown the videos of people saying that they’ll vote for Obama because he gave them “stuff.”  Then, we see this, from Dayton Daily News, that shows that quite a few Ohioans are holding “ObamaPhones.”

A program that provides subsidized phone service to low-income individuals has nearly doubled in size in Ohio in the past year — now covering more than a million people. At the same time, federal officials say they’re reining in waste, fraud and abuse in the program.

The Federal Communications Commission announced recently that reforms have saved $43 million since January and are expected to save $200 million by year’s end. In Ohio, savings are expected to be $2.9 million a year.

The program in Ohio cost $26.9 million in the first quarter of 2012, the most recent data available, versus $15.6 million in the same timeframe in 2011. Compared to the first quarter of 2011, the number of people in the program nearly doubled to more than a million.

Growth could cost everyone who owns a phone. The program is funded through the “Universal Service Fund” charge on phone bills — usually a dollar or two per bill — and the amount of the fee is determined by the cost of this and other programs.

A growth of $100 million in this program could result in an increased fee of a few cents on the average bill, according to officials from the agency that administers the program. The total cost of the program nationwide was $1.5 billion in 2011, up from $1.1 billion in 2010.

So, Ohio is a battleground state, and has a bunch of electoral votes. And, in an election year, there is a sudden spike in free cell phones given to citizens?

Coincidence?  I think not.

Dependency?  Absolute and intentional.

The administration is trying to buy the election with trinkets.  And, any American should be insulted by that.

Obama Visits Ohio Bar, Suggests They Turn off FOX News

Apparently,  President Obama has the same reaction to FOX News as a vampire to Holy Water…

Buzzfeed reported:

At an unscheduled stop at Ziggy’s Pub and Restaurant, an Amherst, Ohio bar, President Barack Obama suggested that the channel be changed when he was made aware that televisions were showing Fox News.

Obama and Fox News have gone to war frequently during his three and a half years in office — most recently over a sharply negative teaser shown on Fox and Friends that the White House took as a Fox News-sponsored attack ad on the president.

The Obama Administration frequently used the network as a proxy punching bag for its Republican opponents in the early years of his presidency. Fox’s personalities, led by Glenn Beck, fired back with more and more incendiary comments, but a somewhat delicate balanced was reached after the 2010 election in which both sides toned down their rhetoric.

The exchange, per pooler Mark Landler:

As he thanked the group for their support, one of them, Jeff Hawks, gestured to one of the TV’s and said, “You’re in a building that has Fox news on.”

Obama suggested that Hawks ask for it to be changed. “The customer is always right,” he said.

“I’ll arm-wrestle you for your vote,” Hawks said to Obama. “No, I’ll play basketball for your vote,” he replied.

Heh.  I can’t say I even watch FOX all that much anyway, but that Obama would ask someone to change it?  I mean, If I were running for POTUS, and saw MSNBC on a TV, I’dd make jokes and point out some of the lies that  they’ve made.  It’s an opportunity!

Breaking News: 4.0 Earthquake Hits Ohio

As if 2011 wasn’t weird enough already, it seems to want to battle to the last minute.  For the latest, an earthquake, measuring as a 4.0, hit Northern Ohio.  Here are some early details, from KDKA out of Pittsburgh.

McDONALD, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a minor earthquake has hit in northeast Ohio.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 4.0 magnitude quake struck Saturday afternoon in McDonald, which is outside of Youngstown.

There seems to be no reports of damage at the moment, but I’ll keep checking for more reports.

Ohio isn’t the most geological active area, so I’ll try to find some explanations as well.

Some Thoughts on the Wisconsin Standoff

I took some time over the weekend to think a bit more about the union extortion in Wisconsin.  I just wanted to take a systematic look at the situation, so no one, regardless of party, philosophy, or whatnot, could see this for what it is.

First up, the teachers from Wisconsin, Illinois, or from wherever else they are being shipped.

I took some time to look at some statistics regarding the teachers.  In Wisconsin, the average household income is $51,763.  The per-capita income in Wisconsin is $38,763. Then, Michelle Malkin posted the information on Wisconsin teachers salaries.

Wisconsin teacher salary facts:

“Teaching salaries in Wisconsin have increased since 2007. For example, the average teacher salary in Wisconsin in 2009 was $48,743, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is a 2.91 percent increase from 2008 in which the average teacher salary in Wisconsin was $47,365. The average teacher salary in Wisconsin increased by less than 1% from 2007-2008, but increased nearly 3% from 2008-2009.”

The average Wisconsin teacher salary in 2009-2010 was $52,644. (Emphasis added)

So, not only do average teachers salaries exceed the per capita income, it also exceeds the average household income.  In other words, the average Wisconsin teacher makes more that the average Wisconsin family.

Then, let’s tale a look at the fact that Wisconsin teachers pay nothing, or next to nothing, for pension and health care benefits.  We in the public sector, pay into our own pensions and pay a great deal for health insurance (even more since ObamaCare passed).

OK then, the average Wisconsin teacher makes more than the average Wisconsin family.  On the other hand, the average Wisconsin teacher pays less into his or her benefits than does then average Wisconsin family.  And, the kicker is this:  the average Wisconsin family pays the salary and the benefits for the average Wisconsin teacher.

Does the average Wisconsin teacher think that the average Wisconsin family feels real sympathy when the teachers and their Democratic allies are shutting down the state government in order to keep families paying for salaries and benefits that the families don’t get?  How many families are being forced to scramble for childcare arrangements while the unions help the teachers call in sick and have a tantrum at the state capitol?  How many family arrangements are going to be rescheduled because the teachers can’t find it in themselves to do their job?  Does the average family think it’s great for the teachers to call in “sick” when they would be fired for doing the same thing?  After all, the average teacher makes more than the average family!

In other matters, Gateway Pundit is reporting that the University of Wisconsin Health System will be investigating their doctors for offering fake excuses.

The UW Health System released this statement today saying the charges of fraud are very serious and in response, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, the UW Health entities that employ the physicians, have immediately launched an investigation of the reported behavior.

While this is an encouraging sign.  We have to remember that this is part of an academic institution, so my initial bet is  this will be swept under the rug.  I hope I’m wrong, but time will tell.

Gateway Pundit also has the video showing that the Governor of Wisconsin may take action against delinquent workers.

Next up, FOX is reporting the Ohio is the next target.

The next focus of demonstrators protesting collective bargaining reforms should be Columbus, Ohio where thousands, if not tens-of-thousands, of protestors are expected to gather Tuesday and shout their views about a controversial bill that puts labor unions in the crosshairs of a determined governor intent on salvaging his state’s financial situation.

The protests should look and sound much like the ones from Madison, Wisconsin that have gripped the nation in the recent days and marries an uncomfortable economic reality with political opportunity.

“It’s to put our children first. It’s to do the things without regard to political considerations and try to serve the public,” Ohio Governor John Kasich told FOX News late Monday afternoon from the same building where demonstrators will rally Tuesday. “And if we get that done; we balance our budget–$8 billion in the hole–without a tax increase and we’ve cut taxes on income taxes, that’s going to send a message to the rest of that country that if they can do it [in Columbus], they can do it in their state and they maybe, guess what, they might actually be able to do something like this in Washington.”

While the broad pictures of Wisconsin and Ohio are similar with declarations of impending economic disaster and cures of pension and collective bargaining reform, a closer look at the proposals in both states reveal a significant difference.

The Wisconsin reforms don’t cover all public employee unions. Firefighters and police officers, for example, aren’t on the hook in the Badger State but all unionized state and municipal employees in Ohio are subject to the reforms proposed in Senate Bill 5, which would strip the collective bargaining rights of all public workers.

This brings me to another thought or two.

1.  We know that the unions are going to show up and shut down schools and legislatures.  LET THEM!  They have chosen poor ground for this battle.  They are only going to alienate people by extorting all of us for the benefits they receive.  These are benefits that we pay for, and do not have access to ourselves.

2.  We sometimes forget that the sea of red that took the House in November also took a large number of  state legislatures and governors.  If there are any Red  State Governors and Legislators reading this, and you are looking at bills similar to Ohio’s or Wisconsin’s, now is the time to act.  You are going to have to look at it eventually.  Not only that, acting now will further stretch the resources of the unions, as well as the OFA and the Soros funded organizations.  Every penny they use now are funds they won’t be using to goon up the next election.  It’s the right thing to do, and a great political strategy as well.  When those two factors coincide, it is not the time to sit on your hands.  ACT!!

3.  If your school is impacted by illegal absences by teachers, show up at the next school board meeting and ask that action be taken.  Don’t be thuggish-that is what the left does.  Try to get on the agenda, be polite, and use facts and evidence to get  your point across.

4.  Support legislators and governors that are doing the right thing.  They are going to hear the other side from the MSM, and almost everywhere else.  Let them know that we have their back.

These are historic times, my friends.  The union bosses have given us a great gift.  They have set themselves up for defeat.  Without the media monopoly that would have helped cover for them, they are exposed for what they are…petulant children that will shut down the democracy that they publicly praise.  They want to keep the excessive benefits that we do not receive, but pay for.  They will do this in spite of excessive debt, and a looming public pension crisis.   We have the opportunity to both expose them, and curtail their influence.  It’s time to move, and go on offense.

They have us exactly where we want them.
