Daily Kos Laments that Klingon Disruptors can be “purchased and carried anywhere in Georgia! “

OK, maybe it wasn’t a Klingon Disruptor, but the Kossacks really stepped in it when they decided to run a story about the guns that could be purchased and carried in Georgia.

Sunday LInks: Vintage Christmas Commercial Edition

Well, we are in the Christmas season, aren’t we? Of course, as we’ve covered this week, there are a lot of liberals that don’t want that Jesus guy mentioned at all.  But, we won’t have that problem here. Its time for the vintage Christmas commercial edition.  I do this every year, because, like so many other people, Christmas brings out so many warm memories of my childhood.  I was blessed with good parents that protected me and saw that holidays were happy times.  So, let’s go back to a simpler time, and enjoy some vintage Christmas and toy commercials! That […]

Sweden Declares War…on Playtime

Did the Burgermeister Meisterburger, seen here in this undated file photo, take over Sweden?  It would appear so, considering the whacky Cultural Marxism taking place there.  For a bit more, take a look at this from the American Enterprise Institute… But subterfuge and propaganda appear to be the order of the day in Sweden. In their efforts to free children from the constraints of gender, the Swedish reformers are imposing their own set of inviolate rules, standards, and taboos. Here is how Slate author Nathalie Rothchild describes a gender-neutral classroom: One Swedish school got rid of its toy cars because boys “gender-coded” them and ascribed the cars […]

Brutal Civil War Rages on Island of Misfit Toys

For years Santa had stopped at the Island of Misfit Toys.  But no more. “I wouldn’t go near that place anymore” said Santa.  “It’s more dangerous than Mexico, Afghanistan or Detroit.” The culprit is politics.  For years the Island of Misfit Toys had been ruled by King Moonracer (pictured here), an absolute, hereditary monarch.  But not all were happy with his rule.  Chief among them was Charlie-in-the-Box (seen here.) Charlie, who sees himself as the Island’s resident intellectual, had taken to reading the Federalist Papers and the Declaration of Independence.  Dissatisfied with his position as a subject he began to push for more […]

We’re at the two week mark until Santa makes his yearly flight, so  I thought some more toy commercials were in order.  Enjoy the reminiscing, and check out the rather large collection of links for this week. Sunday Links: Vintage Toy Commericials Edition

Wow!  It’s Christmas time again?  What happened to 2011?  I do have to say that perhaps the perceived disappearance of the year is a bit merciful, but that would be open to interpretation.   Temporal perception aside, this is a time for memories, particularly of childhood.  In deference to that fact, there are some vintage toy commercials with the links today.
