The Kinder family, of Auburn, Alabama, are victims of ObamaCare.  Rather than sitting back and taking it silently, Kerri Kinder wrote this “open letter.”  Since it is an “open letter,” it is published in it’s entirety.

An Open Letter to the Obama Administration and American Citizens:

My family’s journey with securing our new insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) started on October 1, 2013. I have decided to write this letter to let the American people know what it has been like for us. We are a family of four, with two little boys’ ages seven years old and three years old. My husband and I have had full time jobs for 6 years and 13 years respectively. We have been with the same two companies for those years. We are a middle class family; we own our three bedroom two bath house, we own two cars, and previously provided our own insurance for the four of us. We have coverage through Individual Blue from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama until 12/31/13. Our premiums have been $380.00 a month, which also included dental coverage for all four of us.

On October, 1, 2013 we received our letters like other Alabamians about our new premiums and plans for 2014 from Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Alabama. When I opened our letter to say I had sticker shock was an understatement. Our premiums for the Blue Saver Silver would now be $753.26. This included the ACA tax but did not include the additional $75.00 we would need to pay in order to keep dental for me and my husband. So we would need to pay total $828.26 to keep health and dental insurance for the four of us. This payment is roughly $64.00 less than what we pay for our mortgage each month. I was outraged that anyone thought we could afford this. Sure we have some savings, but with that price tag we would whittle it down to almost nothing very quickly. I consider savings as a rainy day fund, a start to saving for the kid’s college, our retirement, etc. I never dreamed in a million years we would need to use it to pay our insurance premiums each month – how in the world could this help the economy too?

Throughout the month of October we read everything we could on what our plan would cover, and tried to get the information we needed about the ACA. I was also blown away when I realized that my son’s medical care, he has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), would cost us so much more out of pocket than it was currently costing us. My son has to go to his doctor every other month for his care. If we need to see a therapist we do that monthly, so you see on top of the premiums there are other out of pocket cost we have to factor in. He is also on medication that he takes daily. His medicine is a life saver for him and helps him function like a normal seven year old, without it he can’t focus, his grades slip and his mind literally goes back to the mind of a three or four year old. When he was first put on his medicine his reading went up 20 points and he went from writing one to two sentences to paragraphs, all in the course of a week. He is a straight A student and very bright, but without the proper medical care that could slip away from him. Under our new plan for 2014 we would need to pay a $55.00 co-pay, and then it would be covered at 80 percent once we reached his deductible, which would be $2,000 individual $4,000 family. Out of pocket max numbers are $6,350 individual and $12,700 family. All of this is enough to make anyone’s head spin. We were then forced to look at other options as none of this was affordable for our family.

I started to dig deeper into healthcare.gov. I was hearing all the horror stories through the news about the subpar website. I was reading right off their healthcare.gov Facebook page about other people’s terrible experiences trying to get coverage. Then the government announces that they are going to be working on the site and making it a better experience as well as making it more secure. They had already had three years to make this happen but they said would need the month of November to get it running right. So I waited patiently for them to get the site running so I could see if we would qualify for the subsidy and continue our health insurance through that route.

December 6, 2013 I went to healthcare.gov and started our application. The process took me over two hours to complete. Once it was completed it came back with our results. The results were that my husband and I qualified. That my three year old qualified for All Kids and that my seven year old did not qualify for anything through the exchange (ACA). I was so confused, how could a seven year old not qualify for a subsidy? I was also confused on why they wanted me to enroll one of my children in All Kids? So, I called the number they provided to speak to a representative. I was on hold for 20 minutes when a woman answered and offered to help me with the results. She told me that it is coming back that my seven year old son did not qualify and the only thing I could do was to file an appeal. I asked her a few more questions about how this could have happened, and I was told “she does not know and that all I can do is file an appeal”. She was reading her responses to me right off of a chart that I am sure they are given. So, I ended my conversation with her and proceeded to try to wrap my head around what was happening.

I decided to call back, this time I waited 15 minutes and spoke to a very nice gentleman who seemed to have an understanding for how the system was working. He looked up the results and said “this can’t be right, let’s start over and do an application over the phone”. So again I went through the application process. The results came back the exact same, we all qualified for something except my seven year old son. The gentleman could not understand how this could be happening and assured me it had to be a “glitch” in the system. He placed me on hold so he could speak with his supervisor on how to fix this error. I waited several minutes and when he came back he said “there was nothing more they could do tonight”. He said “we are sending your application to two different departments and that one of the departments would get back to me through a phone call with a fix to this problem”. He also told me “it could take 2-5 days but that I would receive a phone call when they had closed my case”.

So I waited until Tuesday December 10, 2013, which was day four and called them back. I was then told it would be 2-5 business days and if I had not heard from them at that time to call back. So that is what I did, I waited till 9:00 pm on that Friday December 13, 2013 with no phone call. I called Sunday December 15th, 2013 and spoke with my 3rd supervisor who told me “they were very sorry that I had not received a phone call and they were messaging the two departments to give me a call the following day”. He also said to go ahead and file with All Kids in my state because even though they send that information to them, they have no idea when they will receive it. So Monday I went and applied for All Kids for my children, it was a similar application to the healthcare.gov site. I called them to verify that they received my application and was told they cannot access it till sometime in January. They said once they could access it that they would be in touch and if the kids qualified the coverage would retro act to January 1, 2014. So that was a little bit of good news.

So here we are December 22, 2013, the day before the December 23rd deadline to sign up through the Health Insurance Marketplace’s Exchange. I decide I will call one last time to see what they can tell me about coverage, since I never received a phone call after my last conversation with a supervisor. I waited on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I asked to speak with a supervisor and I was transferred. The supervisor pulled my file and was talking to me when she must have accidentally pressed a button and we got disconnected. I thought for sure she would call me back. That is one of the first things they ask for is your phone number. I did not receive a call back, so I call back and have to be placed on hold again to speak to someone. I waited another hour and a half before I get connected with a supervisor. She pulls up my file and tells me “there is nothing they can do and I have to wait the 90 days they have to contact me through the appeals process”. The supervisor tells me “that this whole time I have been told wrong by numerous people and that I should have been called back but that the two departments could do nothing for me”. I just have to wait the 90 days. I asked her, “so yet again an error, due to no fault of my own, has occurred all these times I have been calling and speaking with people and no one can really do anything”? She said “yes that is correct, I am sorry you have been told something different but that is all I can tell you”.

I have never been treated so poorly by any insurance company in my whole life. I have never experienced such terrible customer service in all my years on this earth. I can’t imagine how long a company would last in this country if they followed the same protocol as the ACA/Health Insurance Marketplace does. Most companies can fix a glitch in their systems pretty easily, or can connect you to someone who can. Not the ACA/ Health Insurance Marketplace, you spend all that time on hold to just be told, so sorry but you have to wait for someone to get back to you in a 90 day time span.

What is the most sickening thing to me is that we have been forced into the Health Insurance Marketplace’s Exchange. We wanted to continue our coverage through BSBC and pay as we always had been. But, we found out that option would not be affordable under the new Act, which is how we were forced into the Exchange. Furthermore, not only were we forced into the Exchange, but then forced again to submit an application to ALL Kids for our children. I just don’t understand how we go from being hard working middle class family who provides everything for our family to where we are today. I feel like everything that my husband and I have worked hard for is for nothing. I pray each night that we will get something resolved with our “glitch” in the system so our children will have health insurance coverage in January and by the time I have to purchase my son’s $400 a month ADHD medicine.

I really don’t know how our government can allow this to be taking place. What if something happens and one of my boys breaks an arm, or God forbid something worse? They don’t have insurance, so I guess we will then be paying the hospital monthly if that happens. We are almost completely debt free currently and now all I see is very large medical bills in our future until the government can fix the issues with the ACA/Exchange. I would really like them to rename the Affordable Care Act, because from where I am sitting it is anything but affordable or caring for my family.

Sincerely,
Karri Kinder

Alleged Sex Offender Kaitlyn Hunt in Court

From the earliest days of the #FreeKate story, the Hunt family had claimed that ant-gay bias was the reason for the arrest of their daughter.  Their claim was that the Smiths (the parents of Kaitlyn Hunt’s victim) had told school staff that they were upset that Kaitlyn Hunt had “made” their daughter gay, and that was unacceptable to them.   However, the police investigation was unable to find anyone who heard that.  Here are some excerpts from Detective Shepherd’s report…

investigation no gay biasinvestigation no gay bias 2

investigation no gay bias 3

investigation no gay bias 4

investigation no gay bias5

“…has never heard them make any anti-gay comments and has never heard them say that Kaitlyn (Hunt) turned their daughter gay,” seems to be the lowest common denominator.

Note that others were interviewed, but did not know the Smiths.

As you can see.  Detective Shepherd asked this question quite a few times, and no one stated that they heard the Smiths making such a comment.  So, the question is, did the Smiths ever make such comments?  And, if so, to  whom?  Or, is the claim of anti-gay bias just another invention of the Hunt family in order to take the attention off of Kaitlyn’s behavior?

It is also useful to review that the Vero Beach Chapter of PFLAG found no evidence of bias…

The Other McCain has the details…

The local chapter of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) refuses to support accused sex offender Kaitlyn Ashley Hunt:

PFLAG of Vero Beach has received questions and comments regarding the controvery involving the two young ladies in Sebastian.
We have been watching the developments in this case since it was brought to our attention. PFLAG of Vero Beach cannot enter into the controversy for the following reason. We have not been able to find where the charges brought against this unfortunate young lady are inspired by homophobia, or are in any way anti-LGBTQ. . . .
The cry of discrimination, unless more facts come out, does not seem to apply here. Some very simple research yields cases where heterosexual kids have been arrested and prosecuted under the same law.

But, who HAS demonstrated anti-gay bias?  The FOIA information obtained by Jeanette Runyon features a text conversation between Kaitlyn Hunt’s victim, and Kelley Hunt Smith, dated January 9, 2013.  Here is a comment from Kelly Hunt Smith to her daughter’s victim…

kelley doesnt agree with gaykelley doesnt agree with gay2kelley doesnt agree with gay3

“I am a Christian and have faith in god, so for me, I don’t think it’s right, or what god intended.”

That comment would get any Christian branded as a “hater,” would it not?

Kelley Hunt Smith doesn’t believe that being gay is “right,” or isn’t “what god intended.”  Is that anti-gay?  She said she wanted Kaitlyn to see a counselor about it…because of issues with her father?

I told her that I didn’t feel like she was gay, and I felt like she needed to go talk to a counselor about her issues with her dad.

Was she suggesting that this “made” her daughter gay?

Kelley Hunt Smith stated that the victim was too young, and the relationship wasn’t healthy?   If she believed that, why didn’t she do more to stop a relationship she admitted was problematic?

So, this is what Kelly Hunt Smith tells the victim-that she believes in God, and that she doesn’t believe that homosexuality “is right.”  But in May, she was saying something rather different about the situation…

They were both students in the same high school, it was a mutual consenting relationship on both parts.

This was unusual for Kate, she has always dated boys, but being the kind of mother I am, I didn’t want to make it a big deal. I talked to her about it, and figured it was just a social thing, times have changed and a lot of kids are experimenting, so I didn’t make much of it.

James and Laurie Smith wouldn’t give up. They were out to destroy my daughter, they feel like my daughter “made” their daughter gay. They are bigoted, religious [zealots] that see being gay as a sin and wrong, and they blame my daughter. Of course I see it 100% different. I don’t see or label these girls as gay. They are teenagers in high school experimenting with their sexuality, all teens do it in one form or another. They are teens, its healthy and normal. And even if their daughter is gay, who cares, she is still their daughter.

Unfortunately by the letter of the law, this girl has NO voice. Her parents can play the “victims” and ruin my daughters life. We have written letters through our attorneys trying to appeal to these people as parents, talk through it and come to some agreement or understanding but James and Laurie Smith refuse. These people’s delusional stand, their hate and bigotry is tearing our daughter apart.

Note the VERY different tone between January and May?  Kelley Hunt Smith contradicts what she said to the victim, and them attacks the Smiths, for having the same beliefs that she stated having in January?

Once again, we see some glaring differences between what Kelley Hunt Smith says, and what Kelley Hunt Smith says.  The question is, when was she lying, or was she lying at both times?

Tomorrow, we will take a look into the relationship between Kaitlyn Hunt and her victim, and have some more revealing comments from her mother.

Once again, we need to extend our thanks to Jeanette Runyon, who braved being banned by on Twitter by a handful of #FreeKate supporters, who have even pretended to stalk her in real life.  And while her attackers knowingly spread lies about her, she was busy obtaining the factual information that you have seen in the posts over the last two days.

NOTE:  As the police investigation noted, two coaches indicated that Kaitlyn Hunt was NOT on the basketball team, and had not made the team.  She was permitted to work out with the team, but was told to stop due to “drama.”

#FreeKate Update: New Information Proves that Kaitlyn Hunt Knew That Her Relationship was Illegal, and That She Was Warned to End it

Share

The news on the #FreeKate front has been sparse lately.  Other than a handful of #FreeKate supporters openly conspiring to get Jeanette Runyon banned from Twitter via false spam reports, there hasn’t been much about the case itself.  But, while @NicoleBonnett1 was pretending to stalk the Twitter Gulag inhabitant (plus her disabled veteran husband, her community, and her church) in real life, Jeanette was working on the case.  She had the thought to file a Freedom of Information Act Request with the IRC Sheriff’s Office.  That information arrived this past Friday.   Jeanette received over 300 pages of materials on the case.  Much of that information directly contradicts the claims of the Hunt family, and their supporters. Over the next several days, The Other McCain, and the Conservative Hideout, will be pointing out those blatant contradictions.

For today’s contradiction, or correction, that is, we have to revisit the claims that Kaitlyn Hunt did not know that her relationship with her victim was illegal, and they claim that she was never warned to end the relationship.  Here is an interview in which Kaitlyn Hunt denied knowing that she was aware that the relationship was illegal.

The claim that Kaitlyn Hunt was unaware of the illegal nature of the relationship with her victim was repeated in the 20/20 interview in early October as well.

However, information obtained from the IRC Sheriff’s Office via the FOIA Request filed by Jeanette Runyon definitely contradicts the claims of ignorance made by Kaitlyn Hunt.  The following screen-captures are from the police file, and features a Facebook chat between Kaitlyn Hunt, and a cousin of the victim…

Kaitlyn knew was warnedKaitlyn knew was warned 2Kaitlyn knew was warned 3

Note that I made the last capture wide enough to show the date of the conversation, which was January 9th.  I also, overlapped the conversation to make sure that nothing was left out.  And, if you read the first entry by Kaitlyn Hunt, you see that she fully acknowledges that she could get into trouble for her relationship with her victim.  So why then, did Kaitlyn Hunt state, to a national TV audience, that she did not know that the relationship was problematic?

Also, why did the Hunt family state that Kaitlyn was never warned to end the relationship, when this conversation obviously happened?  Also, I have to ask why Julia Graves, Kaitlyn Hunt’s lawyer, allow her client to lie on national TV?  Surely they were aware of this exchange, as it was in the police file?   Or, was it that they thought that this exchange would never see the light of day?  No matter which way you slice it, Kaitlyn Hunt knowingly and intentionally lied on national television.

Over the coming days, more and more information will be coming out about the case.  It is our intention to set the record straight and correct the false narrative set by the Hunts and their supporters.

Oh, and to @NicoleBennett1, @Periabo, Rachael Carson Zerbe, and crew; no amount of fake spam reports, making up crazy claims about people, false police reports, or PRETENDING to stalk people IRL will prevent this information from getting out.  While you were busy lying about Jeanette, she was busy exposing the lies.  This post is only the beginning.

How are all of your bullying tactics working out for you?

Documents Prove Kaitlyn Hunt Lied; Knew Sex With 14-Year-Old Was Illegal _ The Other McCain - 2013-11-24_23.16.30

However, the would be stalkers have, as I indicated earlier, have only PRETENDED to stalk Jeanette, and her disabled veteran husband, her community, as well as her church.

Here is some content from The Other McCain…

BOOM:

Florida sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt, whose case became a cause for many gay rights activists this year, was aware that her affair with a 14-year-old was illegal, documents obtained from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office show.
“Yes, I know I’m 18 and can get in trouble,” Hunt said in an online conversation more than a month before her February arrest, “but I understand the consequences and I know what I got myself into when I entered the relationship with [the underage girl].”
Hunt, who last month pleaded no contest to multiple felony charges in the case, has claimed in media interviews that she did not realize her involvement with the minor was a crime in Florida, where the legal age of consent is 16. “I wouldn’t have continued, if I really knew what the laws were and if I knew what I was getting myself into,” Hunt told ABC’s Matt Gutman in an interview broadcast on the network’s 20/20 program. . .

Blatant lies blatantly exposed.

#FreeKate Update: Bullied in Prison? Are the Hunts ‘Reaping What They Have Sown?’

Share

We’re a nation  that likes underdogs, and have a disdain for people that abuse the underdog.  Even though so many are bullies, we have a gut level aversion to them, and we like to see justice done.   Our pop culture reflects it even to this day.  For example, the mad scientist becomes  lunch for his awful creations.   The criminal get’s killed, and loses in the end.   The crooked cop gets double crossed by the bad guys he was helping.  The corrupt politician gets exposed and humiliated.

We love to see people get “theirs.” It’s karma.

I know I’m a Christian, so why invoke karma?  I like to refer to karma as “The Enforcement Arm of the Golden Rule.”  It’s the equivalent of the Biblical, “you reap what you sow.”  I do believe in that, and it often happens with ironic results.

Enter #FreeKate.  Last night Kelley Hunt Smith  posted this in the Free Kate Fuhrer Bunker…

Tuesday night, Kelley Hunt Smith posted on Facebook:

She’s been having some trouble with a few inmates bullying her, but she spoke to a supervisor and they assured her they would take care of it. It scares me so bad having her in jail, she is just a kid, she’s so afraid. Her spirit is so broken. We try to encourage her as best as we can. She is trying so hard to stay positive. She loves reading the letters we send and the ones you all send her as well, it really lifts her spirit, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m praying so hard everyday that something positive happens and soon. We are still fighting and preparing for this trial. It’s so hard to understand how all this is really happening, it’s just so wrong. I have to stay strong and focus on Kate and our family. Thank you all for the love, prayers and support. #FREEKATE #NEVERGIVINGUP

R.S. McCain has a lot more posted over at his place, but my take is slightly different.

Remember how Kaitlyn Hunt was described by this claimed former classmate?

Take a look at it for yourself.

Kaitlyn_Hunt_Bully_Dyke

And, who can forget this incident from the “model citizen?”

Or this?

I personally go to school and am in the same grade as Kaitlyn Hunt. I can tell you that the way the media is portraying her is far from reality. I have never even made contact with her before, but from personal experience I can say that she is not a good person and is not ‘innocent’. She is known as a whore throughout the school, constantly starts high school drama, gets in school suspensions, and is overall not well liked at all. No, I don’t have a grudge against her, I’ve never even made contact with her. It’s just that my whole school knows she’s not a good person and don’t think it’s fair the media is portraying this otherwise. Hopefully this video further proves she is not the girl everyone thinks she is.

And, who can forget how Kaitlyn’s mother, Kelley Hunt Smith treated the victim’s family?

James and Laurie Smith wouldn’t give up. They were out to destroy my daughter, they feel like my daughter “made” their daughter gay. They are bigoted, religious [zealots] that see being gay as a sin and wrong, and they blame my daughter. Of course I see it 100% different. I don’t see or label these girls as gay. They are teenagers in high school experimenting with their sexuality, all teens do it in one form or another. They are teens, its healthy and normal. And even if their daughter is gay, who cares, she is still their daughter.

Or,even how Kaitlyn spoke to her victim…

“F*ck you…You’re stupid…you want me to go to jail…you’re such a messed up person…you snitched on me.”

So then, if Kaitlyn Hunt is suffering some bullying in jail, isn’t she getting back what she has done to others?  Is she reaping what she sown?  Is this a case of, “what comes around goes around?”

In the end, karma is one real, cold-hearted, and relentless b*tch, as Kaitlyn Hunt is discovering.

#FreeKate Update: Media Coverage, and Kaitlyn Hunt’s Mother Allegedly Contacted Victim to Told Her to Delete Evidence of Illegal Contact, Hearing Set for Tuesday August 20th

Share

Mugshot of alleged sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt.Kaitlyn Hunt

Just to followup on last night’s post regarding alleged sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt, here is some media coverage…

Also, something significant was left out of last night’s post-that Kaitlyn Hunt’s mother allegedly contacted the victim as well, and told her to delete any evidence of Kaitlyn Hunt contacting her.

“DELETE EVERYTHING..My Number is (redacted) my email is (redacted) PLEASE delete everything and make sure that NO ONE finds out you’ve spoken to Kate at all!”

Note that I did not punish the phone number or email of Ms. Hunt.  It is in the court documentation, but I saw no need to repeat it.

So, it appears that both Kaitlyn Hunt violated the court order and contacted the alleged victim.  Not only did they contact the victim, but they instructed the victim to destroy any evidence that they contacted her.

This is pretty indefensible if you ask me.

Also, it is being reported that a hearing will be held on August 20th, next Tuesday, to address these issues…

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Kaitlyn Hunt is expected to return to court on Tuesday, Aug. 20, for a hearing regarding the allegations she violated the terms of her pre-trial release.

Judge Robert Pegg has decided to hold a court hearing at 1 p.m. Tuesday to hear the State Attorney’s Office’s Notice of Violation.

Hunt is accused of having maintained contact with her now-ex-girlfriend.

According to Florida State Statutes, the court may revoke bond without an adversarial hearing on finding probably cause.

“It is apparent from the defendant’s past and present patterns of behavior that (Hunt) does not care that two circuit judges have ordered her to stay away from her victim,” according the written opinion of State Attorney Bruce Colton. “She has covertly contacted her victim thousands of time, had continued intimate contact with her victim, threatened to blame her victim if her own misconduct is discovered, instructed her victim on what to say to the prosecutor, solicited her victim to lie for her, and in general sought to obstruct the judicial process. “

So, we will know more on the fate of Kaitlyn Hunt on  Tuesday.

Here’s a thought.  Will the family now blame the victim, and state that she was to blame for the additional contact?   Just a thought.

#FreeKate Update: Kaitlyn Hunt has Allegedly Violate Court Orders to Avoid Contact With Victim, Has Sent 20,000 Texts, Many of Them Sexually Explicit, Has Had Sexual Contact with Alleged Victim as Recently as Two Weeks Ago

Share
Mugshot of alleged sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt.
Mugshot of alleged sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt.

Holy Crap!  When it rains, it pours.  As most regular readers know, I’ve been following the Kaitlyn Hunt story.  To bring new readers up to date, Kaitlyn Hunt is a teen who met, and had repeated sexual contact with a younger teen.  For this, she was arrested and was charged.  The family promptly went forth, lied about the ages of the alleged victim and perp, and tried to make it a gay rights issue, claiming that this issue only became an issue as both parties were female.  Of course, there was a great deal of drama once it was realized that the alleged sexual abuser, Kaitlyn Hunt, was 18 at the time the relationship began, and the victim was 14.  Much of the mainstream gay rights organizations abandonded the Hunts at that point, but a small, and apparently growing group of supporters have been supporting the Hunts in their effort to…

Make it legal for adults to have sex with children…

You see, Kaitlyn refused a plea deal, and the families layers indicated that they will go after the law instead of trying to prove that Kaitlyn was innocent.

So, everyone was awaiting a trial date, when something predictable occurred.

Kaitlyn stayed in touch with her victim.  The Other McCain picks things up…

Accused sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt “violated a pretrial order to have no contact with the victim in her teen-sex case,” the Palm Beach Post reported Thursday, citing a court motion by prosecutors that may end the 19-year-old lesbian’s release on bond.

According to the document cited in an article by Elliott Jones of the Post, “Hunt has been in almost daily contact” with the underage victim, and has secretly sent more than 20,000 text messages to the younger girl. Prosecutors say they have ”over 25 lewd and lascivious photographs the defendant sent to the child victim.”

And, it get’s worse.  Take a look at the Notice of Violation of Pre-Trial Release…

Kaitlyn Hunt Violation by Ali A. Akbar

So then, let’s review some of the lowlights…

Right after being placed on Bond, Kaitlyn Hunt allegedly places an Ipod into the locker of the alleged victim.  Mind you, she entered into the no contact order on 2-27-13, and the Ipod gets to the victim on 3-1-13.  If this holds, Kaitlyn Hunt clearly never intended on following the order.

Messages from Kaitlyn Hunt, such as…

“Keep the f*ck quiet.”

“if my mom finds out we’re talking, I’m blaming it on you.”

“F*ck you…You’re stupid…you want me to go to jail…you’re such a messed up person…you snitched on me.”

A while back, I took some heat on Twitter for suggesting that Kaitlyn Hunt was possibly “grooming” her victim, and that the content of their communication would prove me right or wrong.

I’d be interested to see what kind of texting went on between Kaitlyn Hunt and her victim.  I would not at all be surprised to see that there was a lot of escalating sexual talk between them, as Kaitlyn tried to break down the already  weak defences of an infatuated 14 year old girl.  Perhaps we will learn more as time wears on, especially if the prosecutors now start unfolding the case against Kaitlyn.

Let’s just say that it’s very common for abusers to get their victim  phones (or in this case, as ipod) to have private and exclusive contact with them.   It’s a means to keep them close, and under control.  Perpetrators will also use explicit texts and photos, set up covert meetings to continue the abuse, and use threats and insults to control their prey.  It’s a “push-pull” kind of tactic, and it works well to keep victims off balance and under control.   It’s extremely manipulative, and works far more often than we like to contemplate.

So, based on what I’ve read here in terms of legal documentation…

It would appear that Kaitlyn Hunt never intended to follow the no contact order, and within two days, had already allegedly violated it.

Kaitlyn Hunt allegedly violated it persistently, with over 20,000 texts sent in that time frame.

Kaitlyn Hunt allegedly arranged meetings with her victim, and continued their physical relationship.

Kaitlyn Hunt allegedly sent texts insulting and threatening the victim, and even blaming the victim for the situation.

This is absolutely devastating to her legal defense and the #FreeKate supporters, who have spent time, and some made donations, to defend a woman who was still actively committing the crime for which she was accused, in spite of the court’s orders to stop.

The state has offered a second plea deal, which is actually more lenient that the first, but as far is as known, team Hunt is still not budging.  Looking at the #FreeKate Twitter account and Facebook pages, both are “protected” or “closed groups” at this time.  I assume this is for the control of messaging, as well as to avoid the public display of too many uncomfortable questions.

As usual, we’ll stay on top of this.
