A lot has been said about voter fraud in the past few years. We in the Republican Party insist it exists and are working to prevent it by enacting laws that require voters to show identification when casting their ballots. The Democrat Party insist voter fraud exists only in our minds and imaginations and that our efforts to enact Voter ID laws are only an attempt to keep minority voters from casting their votes. As this history lesson from Paul R. Hollrah shows that not only does voter fraud exist, but it is the prime reason why the Republican Party has had to fight so hard to gain a foothold in Oklahoma politics. Thankfully, we have more than just a foothold, but are in almost total control. A big tip of the blogger hat to Mike McCarville for first publishing this essay.

On Tuesday evening, September 10, 1963, I attended my first meeting of the Tulsa County Young Republicans. It was the first political meeting I’d ever attended, and as a result of attending that one meeting, and the things I learned there, my life was changed forever.

The guest speaker that evening was a man named Walter Hall, the Ballot Security Officer for the Oklahoma Republican State Committee. In his speech Hall described in shocking detail the widespread election fraud practiced by Oklahoma Democrats in every election. He began by saying that forty-four of Oklahoma’s seventy-seven counties had not provided a secret ballot for voters since statehood in 1907, and that local Democrats regularly used every conceivable illegal device to intimidate voters and to fraudulently control the outcome of elections.

Although state law required that one of the three election officials in every precinct must be a member of the minority party, Oklahoma Democrats systematically appointed bogus Republicans to the minority positions. Consequently, in many precincts in those forty-four counties, all of the election officials were, in fact, Democrats.

When voters entered the polls on Election Day they found three Democrats seated behind a table. After signing the entry log they were handed a paper ballot and a pencil, and since there were no facilities for marking ballots in secret, they were obliged to place their ballot on the table and to mark their ballot while the three election officials looked on. If the election officials saw a voter mark his ballot for even a single Republican candidate, a number of things could happen. In many Oklahoma counties the welfare rolls were divided up by precincts and kept on the tables in the polling places on Election Day. If a welfare recipient was so unwise as to vote for a Republican, his/her name was removed from the welfare rolls the instant the pencil marked the ballot. If the errant voter was a state or county employee, he ran the risk of being unemployed the same day. And if he was a property owner, he often found his property tax assessment doubled or tripled overnight.

In some counties the election officials were so brazen as to keep a trash can next to the ballot box, and any ballot with a Republican vote on it went directly into the trash can. The only ballots in the ballot box were straight Democratic tickets. In some counties they were a bit more subtle and used a technique that Walter Hall referred to as the “lead-under-the-thumbnail” trick. That technique involved breaking the lead from a pencil and tucking it lengthwise under a thumbnail.

When the election official took a completed ballot from a voter, and the ballot contained a vote for a Republican candidate, the official merely scraped the lead across the face of the ballot, folded the ballot in the normal fashion, and placed it in the ballot box.

When the ballot boxes were opened and the ballots were removed, state law required that all ballots with “extraneous” markings be classified as “mutilated” ballots and not counted in the final tally. In other counties, election officials would allow a thumbnail to grow very long over a period of months preceding an election. On the day of the election they would file a sharp edge on the thumbnail so that, when they took a ballot containing a Republican vote from a voter and prepared to fold it, they merely flicked the sharp nail through the edge of the paper. Ballots with small rips and tears were considered to be “mutilated” and were discarded along with those having extraneous markings.

I was absolutely appalled at the speaker’s endless recounting of official corruption in the state’s electoral process. It was hard for me to believe that such corrupt practices could be standard practice in the greatest democracy on Earth, in the twentieth century, but there was no reason to doubt the truth of what he said.Having been an interested observer of the Democratic Party for many years, and having learned much more about it through many friendly debates with my in-laws, I was all but convinced that the party was just another large-scale criminal conspiracy, masquerading as a political party. After hearing Walter Hall’s presentation that evening I was absolutely certain of it.

When the speaker had concluded his remarks and the meeting was adjourned, I didn’t hesitate for a moment but walked directly to the front of the room. As I approached Mr. Hall, several Young Republicans had already gathered around him and were vying for his attention.

I stood directly in front of him, and when our eyes met I held out my hand. As we shook hands I said, “Mr. Hall, my name is Paul Hollrah. I’ve just recently moved to Oklahoma, but I’d like to volunteer to form a committee to raise funds and to provide voting booths for all of those counties that don’t have them.”

He looked at me, chuckled, and said, “You don’t really think the Democrats would let you get away with that, do you? They throw us a bone now and then,” he continued, “or we find them fighting amongst themselves and we manage to get somebody elected. We’re a distinct minority in Oklahoma and I’m afraid we have to be satisfied with that.”

The people standing around the speaker nodded in agreement. “Yeah, that’s right!” they chorused.

I was very disappointed. I thought they’d be angry. As the primary victims of the fraud, I thought they’d be mad enough to do something about it, but they weren’t. They proceeded from the assumption that if they tried, they were bound to fail – and, chances are they would have.

However, on February 8, 1966, I was elected Chairman of the Tulsa County Young Republicans. It didn’t take long for me to conclude that there was one major benefit to being Chairman of the Tulsa County YR’s. As chairman of the YR’s, I had power – not a lot of power, but enough power – and I knew that if I played my cards right I’d have enough power to do something about election fraud in Oklahoma.

I had not forgotten the speech I heard at the first YR meeting I attended with Joe McGraw in September 1963.After being thoroughly rebuffed in my first bold attempt at organizing a reform movement, and after witnessing widespread fraud in the 1964 general election, I made a second attempt in early 1965 – but again to no avail.

Republicans simply didn’t believe that reform was possible in the face of Democratic opposition. For Democrats, vote fraud was a way of life. It was their bread and butter. It was the means by which they had maintained one-party control in states from Texas to Virginia for the better part of a century. And since Democrats controlled all county and state election boards, the legislatures, the major law enforcement offices, and the courts, few Republicans were willing to take them on. They had asked God for the patience to endure the things they could not change, for the will to change the things they could change, and for the wisdom to know the difference. Unfortunately, they’d put vote fraud in the category of “things they could not change.”

I was convinced that it not only could be done, it had to be done.

In mid-February, just days after my election, I created an organization called Operation: Secret Ballot. I appointed five YRs, two of whom, Johnny Cherblanc and Dave Nalley, I appointed as project coordinators. Both were active members of the Tulsa Jaycees.. I made no public announcements, there was no fanfare, I just did it. More importantly, I had a plan. I knew that very little reform could be accomplished if the effort was widely viewed as being a partisan operation. What we needed was a non-partisan front with bipartisan support.

Through John Cherblanc and Dave Nalley we convinced the Tulsa Jaycees to invite Walter Hall to be guest speaker at a future meeting. Hall spoke at the June meeting of the Tulsa Jaycees and the result was totally predictable. They were outraged at what he told them about vote fraud in Oklahoma. We had our non-partisan front.

Gene Vinyard, of the Tulsa Jaycees, was selected as project coordinator for Operation: Secret Ballot. And after a quiet conversation with one or two fair-minded, idealistic members of the Tulsa County Young Democrats…young Democrats who actually believed in honest elections and the Rule of Law…the project was launched. Operation: Secret Ballot was an organization of mostly Young Republicans, with Jaycee leadership and publicity, and enough Young Democrats to validate our claim to bipartisanship.

Working with a cabinetmaker from the Jaycees, we designed a voting booth that could be made from simple one-by-two white pine frames, covered with unbleached muslin, and assembled with offset hinges to allow easy folding and stacking for storage.

The Operation: Secret Ballot coordinating team was doing an excellent job. Gene Vinyard, Johnny Cherblanc, and the others raised more than $5,000 for the project – enough to purchase all of the materials we needed – and the Tulsa Rig and Reel Company loaned us one of their abandoned steel fabricating shops in West Tulsa for our assembly operation.

In late July we sent letters to the county election boards in all of the forty-four counties where the secret ballot didn’t exist, informing them that we’d have voting booths available for them, free of charge, by election day, November 8. All they had to do was tell us how many they needed and we’d deliver them to their county courthouse during the first week of November.

By mid-August our assembly line was operational and we started producing voting booths. Every Saturday and every Sunday, from mid-August through late October, the cavernous interior of our voting booth “factory” echoed with the sound of saws, hammers, and staplers. And as the voting booths came off the end of our assembly line they were folded, stacked, and stored along one side of the building. As the weeks passed our inventory grew and grew.

When responses started coming in from county election boards, we found a mixed reaction. Some counties didn’t respond at all, but among those who did there were both written and oral responses. For the most part, the letters we received said, “Thank you! We’ve never been able to afford voting booths in our county.” And they went on to say how many they needed and where to deliver them.

The oral responses were never direct, they were always sent to us through third parties. Basically, they were very simple messages. They said, “If you come into our county with your damned voting booths we’ll be waiting for you with shotguns and rifles and you’ll all go back to Tulsa in pine boxes!”

We had many threats on our lives, and knowing of many cases of violence by Democrats, we took them all very seriously.

In mid-October Governor Henry Bellmon commented publicly on our election reform project, and within a day or two we were contacted by the Adjutant General of the Oklahoma National Guard. The General told us that he would make National Guard troops and trucks available to us whenever we needed them. All we had to do was tell him which counties were to receive voting booths and the number of voting booths to be delivered to each location.

During the first week of November 1966, the National Guard loaded and delivered enough voting booths to supply somewhere between eight hundred and a thousand precincts across the state. Under the glare of public scrutiny the Democrats were afraid not to use them, and on Tuesday, November 8, Oklahoma voters went to the polls and elected a new governor, State Senator Dewey Bartlett, the second Republican governor in Oklahoma history; they elected a Republican attorney general, Tulsa attorney G.T. Blankenship, the first Republican attorney general in state history; they elected Republican congressmen in two of the state’s six congressional districts; and they elected a Republican state labor commissioner.

We were all happy, of course, that our friend, Dewey Bartlett, would be occupying the governor’s chair for the next four years, but the most significant outcome of Operation: Secret Ballot was the election of G.T. Blankenship as attorney general.

Within months after taking office, Blankenship announced major criminal indictments against the most powerful and corrupt Democrat politician in the state. The evidence of official corruption was overwhelming and when a guilty verdict was returned at trial he was sentenced to eight years in the state reformatory at McAlester.

The attorney general also stunned Oklahomans when he announced an official investigation of wrongdoing among the justices of the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The court was comprised of nine justices, all Democrats, and when the facts emerged Oklahomans learned that a majority of the justices had been taking bribes of from $15,000 to $25,000 to influence their decisions on cases before the court. With $100,000 or $150,000 to spend, a litigant could buy any decision he wanted from the state’s highest court.

In the end, several justices were successfully impeached and removed from the bench, while others resigned rather than face the public humiliation of impeachment.

A small group of determined citizens from Tulsa County gave the State of Oklahoma the biggest dose of political reform it ever had. The Tulsa Jaycees received the National Community Service Award from the U.S. Jaycees for their role in the project.

However, in Republican circles, Operation: Secret Ballot was never mentioned. As I would learn in the months and years to follow, it was typical of the recognition that the Republican Party showered on its best and brightest. In the Republican Party there was no such thing as recognition for achievement; the only message was “Get up the money, get out the vote, and get the hell out of my face.” Nothing has ever changed in that regard.

Nevertheless, it is almost certain that Henry Bellmon’s first term as governor (1963-67) and the Operation: Secret Ballot project of 1966 were, together, the two political developments in Oklahoma history that are the basis of the political renaissance that has made Oklahoma the reddest of red states.

Hat/Tip to WeaselZippers.

If requiring IDs equals voter suppression, then why aren’t tens of thousands of folks getting their free IDs to vote??

A free program that is apparently not taken advantage of. In South Carolina the DMV offered free rides on the weekends and less than one thousand requested assistance. The left has no problem mobilizing buses to the polls.

Via Watchdog

Tuesday will mark the first general election when Virginia’s controversial photo ID law will be in full swing.

But just about 3,000 voters have applied for a free photo ID from their local registrar so far.

Critics of the controversial 2013 law say it suppresses older voters and minorities, who may not have photo ID, although anyone who needs photo ID can get one for free by requesting it from a local registrar. Those who show up at the polls sans photo ID can still cast a provisional ballot that will count, as long as they show proper ID by the end of the week.

The state has estimated about 200,000 active voters out of nearly 5.3 million registered voters in the Old Dominion have no DMV identification, although other forms of ID like passports, student ID and employee ID are acceptable, too.

As of Monday, the Department of Elections reported 2,987 Virginians have applied for a free photo ID card. The average applicant age is 67, according to Rose Mansfield, executive assistant to the commissioner’s office at the Department of Elections. Another 900 are receiving temporary IDs that are good for 30 days.[…]

In Tennessee, Georgia and Indiana, which all had strict photo ID requirements, census data shows increased participation rates among black voters in 2012. In Tennessee, black voters turned out at greater rates than white voters.

Proponents of photo ID laws claim there’s still potential for fraud with Virginia’s law, as ID that’s been expired for up to one year still counts and the photo ID requirement doesn’t apply to absentee ballots.

Unreal: Democrats Accused Of Posing As Republican Election Judges In Colorado…

Share

Hat/Tip to WeaselZippers.

Seems there’s no limit to how low the left will stoop to rig elections…

You just can’t make some stuff up. This is one of those things.

Via Daily Caller:

The Colorado secretary of state is investigating allegations that some Boulder County Republican election judges are actually Democrats in disguise.

Boulder County GOP Chairwoman Ellyn Hilliard initially raised the alarm when visiting polling locations where she didn’t recognize some of the GOP judges who are tasked with comparing voter signatures on mail ballots to protect against vote fraud.

She became alarmed when she noticed some ballots whose signatures clearly didn’t match those on file for the voter being accepted.

Deputy Secretary of State Suzanne Staiert began investigating and confirmed to the Daily Camera that she found “some troubling inconsistencies with some election judges.”

“One of them was a Democrat who had changed party affiliation on Oct. 10, so we are concerned that Boulder didn’t follow the list, then resorted to advertising for these positions,” she told the paper.

La Raza Openly Promotes Voter Fraud Thanks To The Washington Post

 photo Illegal-immigrants-voting_zpsccad1841.jpg

Hat/Tip to Patrick Howley at The Daily Caller.

In their infinite wisdom, the powers that be over at The Washington Post have decided that it is in their readership’s best interest to publish a story about what states don’t require ID to vote.

“Voter ID laws are at-issue across the country, with newly Republican-controlled legislatures having passed them in numerous states after the 2010 election,” explained The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake. “Most states still request some form of ID, but don’t require it. Another 20 states don’t require identification. In case you’re wondering where your state is at in all of this, a helpful (sic) graphic from the Post’s graphics team.”

And our open-borders, pro-illegal immigration, pro-voter fraud friends over at “La Raza” took this article and graphic and used it to promote illegal voting.

Thanks, Washington Post.

The Chicago chapter of Asian Americans Advancing Justice tweeted Blake’s article with the message, “Reminder — #Illinois does NOT require #voterID to cast a ballot,” along with the pro-Democrat hashtag #TurnOutForWhat. The tweet was helpfully retweeted by the National Council of La Raza.

Here is the graphic that the Washington Post ran:

Voting Machines in Maryland and Illinois May be Rigged for Democrats

Share

 photo 1votingmachine_zps31a02fe6.jpg

Hat/Tip to Melanie Batley at Newsmax.

WARNING! Make sure that when you vote, your vote goes to the candidate YOU choose, NOT a candidate the MACHINE chooses.

A number of voting machines in Maryland and Illinois are electronically switching Republican votes to the Democrats, raising suspicions that fraud could be at the root of the alleged malfunction.

According to Watchdog.org, election officials in both states have characterized the problem as a “calibration issue,” but a software developer and expert on touch screens used by U.S. intelligence agencies told Newsmax that the explanation was bogus.

“It’s a software issue, and it’s incredibly suspicious that a bug like that could slip through accidentally. It defies belief,” said Tony Heller.

He said that any expert trained in the technology could figure out within minutes whether the problem with the software was accidental and deliberate.

“This is being used by the public for voting. Public trust is essential,” he said. “It’s completely unacceptable that an official waved it off as a calibration issue. It’s something that can be easily verified and should be.”

It is easy for the powers to be to call this a “calibration” issue, but for these folks, it is something entirely more important.

Maryland voters in multiple locations who were placing early ballots for the midterm elections found that when they pressed the touch screen in favor of Republican candidates, their votes appeared in the Democratic columns.

At least four voters in three different locations in Maryland experienced the problem.

“When I first selected my candidate on the electronic machine, it would not put the ‘x’ on the candidate I chose — a Republican — but it would put the ‘x’ on the Democrat candidate above it,” said a voter from Frederick. “This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat.”

Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said he encountered the problem as well.

“This is happening here as well. It occurred on two candidates on my machine. I am glad I checked. Many voters have reported this here as well,” Hofmann told Watchdog.

Maryland voters beware, and according to officials, it’s a “calibration” error involving one machine.

So why then, is it happening in Illinois, as well?

A Maryland election director, Joe Torre, described the problem as a “calibration issue” involving a single machine.

But the same problem has also occurred in Chicago, Illinois where early voting began last week, according to Watchdog.

“I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast a vote for my opponent,” said GOP state House candidate Jim Moynihan. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”

An Illinois elections official, Jim Scalzitti, also described the problem as a “calibration error,” according to Watchdog.

Election officials in both states were notified of the problem, and those who reported having difficulties were ultimately able to cast the vote they intended. However, concerns remain about whether votes are being miscast in favor of the Democrats.

Report: Illegal Voting by Illegal Aliens/Non-Citizens Giving Democrats Wins in Close Races

Share

 photo Illegal-immigrants-voting_zpsccad1841.jpg

Hat/Tip to Kellan Howell at The Washington Times.

Voter Fraud!

Voter Suppression!

Which is it?

For this author, it’s pretty cut and dried. You need a state-issued ID to vote.

But of course the Dems will yell that we’re being mean to minorities, trying to suppress their participation in our free elections, via Jim Crowe and the ever-dreaded, oft threatened (by Liberals, that is) “Poll Tax”!!

Okay, fine. So where are the loud Liberal voices when those very same minorities are LEGALLY forced to show a STATE-ISSUED ID to purchase Sudafed?

…or beer, wine and liquor?

…or cigarettes?

…or to rent a car?

…or to stay in a hotel?

Aren’t those very same minorities’ participation in cold medicine, alcohol and cigarettes being suppressed?

A recent study is only confirming what many Americans already knew – voter fraud exists and in a large enough scale so as to change the outcome of elections.

A new study shows that percentage of non-American citizens who illegally voted in close races in recent years may have garnered the Democratic Party victories.

Using data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, The Washington Post reported Friday that the number of non-citizens voting for Democrats in past elections was “large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections.”

The paper estimates that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent voted in 2010. In each case those voters overwhelmingly favored President Obama.

The paper also cited Sen. Al Franken’s 2008 victory in Minnesota as a prominent example where illegal voting may have swayed an election. Mr. Franken won his race by 312 votes.

Yeah, but since we know this now, we’re doing SOMETHING about it, right?

Right? Something effective?

Nope, sorry. Nothing.

The study also found that measures put in place to prevent voter fraud have been largely ineffective.

“Nearly three quarters of the non-citizens who indicated they were asked to provide photo identification at the polls claimed to have subsequently voted,” the paper reported.

Okay, that’s the latest study, but voter fraud is nothing new. Although you’ll never hear about it on the network news.

Here are just a few stories going back to 2012.

Too bad no one listened.

The standard Liberal reply, that is if you can find a Lib that WILL reply once presented with the facts that voter fraud does, in deed exist, is that it’s only a few people, it’s not enough to change election outcomes.

To which the best Conservative reply is, “Why are you okay with voter fraud if it’s only a few people? Isn’t ONE person voting who doesn’t have that right, one person too many?”

Allen West Comes Forward With Evidence of Voter Fraud

Share

vote twice

What voter fraud?

For another, in what looks to become a series of stories here at CH 2.0, we turn to former Representative from Florida, Colonel Allen West. The Conservative Tribune reports that voter fraud is more widespread than the left or the MSM would want us to believe.

allen west guardian of the republicNo matter how hard you try to convince them, liberals are convinced that voter fraud is just some bogey man created in the minds of racist conservatives to justify implementing voter ID laws that disenfranchise black people.

Of course, these people are out of touch with reality, as voter fraud is very real and it happens in every election. A recent study found that voter fraud could impact over 1,000,000 votes, which is more than enough to affect the outcome of a presidential election. We’ve also documented cases of illegal aliens voting in Ohio and Florida, which are both key swing states.

One only has to wonder how different the outcome of the 2012 election might have been but for the rampant voter fraud.

Colonel West has gone public with evidence of voter fraud in Florida.

He shared a story from Gregg Prentice on how 3,000 voters were caught illegally using the address of a UPS store as their legal residence, and elections supervisors did nothing about it, even though they are legally mandated to do so.

From Colonel West’s website:

If there is one thing I learned in the 2012 election cycle, it was about voter fraud. My conservative warrior associate, Katherine Engelbrecht, and her organization, True the Vote, took up the mantle against the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, who admitted to sending “questionable” results to the Florida Secretary of State. It was somewhat disheartening that the Florida Secretary of State and Attorney General sat back, watched the news reports, and did nothing.

With that background, I’d like to share a story written by Gregg Prentice: “Voter Fraud? If they’re not catching the easy stuff, what else are they missing?”

Prentice asks, are some of Florida’s Supervisors of Elections skirting the law? Supervisors are tasked with maintaining an accurate voter roll. One of the requirements of the Supervisors is to ensure voters provide a legal residence address. Yet a December 2013 analysis shows more than 3,000 voter registrations statewide listing their residence address at a UPS store, potentially illegally.

[Quote from the Prentice story]: “Florida Law is clear and, with minor exception, requires that voter registrations listing other than an address of legal residence should not be accepted, because they are “ineligible” (F.S. 98.045 (1)(h)). In fact, it’s actually a felony to willfully submit any false voter registration information (F.S.104.011(2)). Accordingly, if these “ineligible” registrations are found to exist, Florida statutes also provide for their prompt correction or removal (F.S. 98.075(6) & (7)).”

florida voter registration

So there you go. It’s a felony for this to have happened, but how can it be that a citizen watchdog had to uncover this Florida voter fraud while the people paid with our taxpayer dollars have not a clue? Is it not a mandated responsibility of the Florida State Supervisors of Elections to maintain these voter address rolls? I’d say so.

A review of the state-mandated voter registration list reveals that of the 3,000 UPS store registrations:

– 1,200 match addresses already known as commercial that were ignored
– 500 match addresses erroneously marked as residential
– 1,100 have no match at all.

As they say, the proof is in the pudding, so it looks like voter fraud IS occurring, and in numbers big enough to make a difference.

40,000 Voters Registered in both Virginia and Maryland, but there’s no voter fraud!

Share

“What voter fraud?”

That’s the question every liberal throws at anyone who even hints at wanting voter ID laws. “It’s crazy,” they say “voter fraud is so rare, why do we need voter ID laws? That only keeps minorities away from the polls.”

Um, wrong and wrong.

There is voter fraud and voter ID laws do NOT keep people away from the polls.

A crosscheck of voter rolls in Virginia and Maryland turned up 44,000 people registered in both states, a vote-integrity group reported Wednesday.

And that’s just the beginning.

“The Virginia Voters Alliance is investigating how to identify voters who are registered and vote in Virginia but live in the states that surround us,” Alliance President Reagan George told the State Board of Elections.

George acknowledged that the number of voters who actually cast multiple ballots is relatively small. In the case of Maryland and Virginia, he revealed that 164 people voted in both states during the 2012 election.

But George said his group will expand their search for duplicate voters in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Georgia.

Okay, so now what about that claim that having to show ID to vote suppresses the vote? Well, it seems that just the opposite is true.

The first Texas elections under a contentious new photo ID law drew interesting conclusions for an off-year election that normally draws a low amount of voters.

Statewide, an average of about 672,874 Texans voted on those 10 constitutional amendments in 2011. In 2013, the number of votes cast in Texas reached 1,099,670.

Well there you have it folks, there is rampant voter fraud and voter ID laws don’t discourage anyone but lawbreakers from voting.

NC Board of Election Finds Nearly 35,000 Examples of Voter Fraud

Yes, I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it's funny.
Yes, I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

In one of the largest examples of voter fraud discovered thus-far, the NC Board of Elections has announced that is has found nearly 35,000 examples of voter fraud in the 2012 election.  Here is more on the voter fraud, that liberals state does not occur…

Initial findings from the Board presented to the Joint Legislative Elections Oversight Committee today show:

  • 765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
  • 35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.
  • 155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.

Additionally, an audit of death records from the Department of Health and Human Services, revealed:

  • 50,000 new death records that had not previously been provided to the State Board of Elections.
  • 13,416 deceased voters on the voter rolls in October 2013.
  • 81 deceased voters that had voter activity after they died.
To repeat, according to liberals, voter fraud not happen, and you are probably racist for knowing that it did.
Just sayin.

Al Sharpton Speaks at Event Against Voter ID: Event Honored Melowese Richardson, Who Was Convicted of Voter Fraud

Yes, I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it's funny.
Yes, I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

Over the five years that the Conservative Hideout has been around, we’ve documented example after example of voter fraud, and how the democrats fight, tooth and nail to stop any effort to curtail it.  The latest story is beyond ironic.  Here is the background, from May of last year…

Well, it turned out that she voted more than twice, and the legal system agreed…

Cincinnati.com reported, via True the Vote:

Long-time Hamilton County poll worker Melowese Richardson was convicted Monday of illegal voting and could go to prison for up to six years for it.

Richardson, 58, of Madisonville, pleaded no contest to four counts of illegal voting – including voting three times for a relative who has been in a coma since 2003 – in exchange for prosecutors dropping four other illegal voting charges. Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Ruehlman immediately convicted her, making her a felon.

A Hamilton County poll worker since 1998, Richardson admitted she voted illegally in the 2008, 2011 and 2012 elections.

Related… One in five registered Ohio voters is bogus.

Just remember folks, this really didn’t happen.  Just like in the “spigot cities,’ where Obama won by OVER 100% of the vote.

Now for the latest…

The Ohio Black Caucus wants to pass a voter’s Bill of Rights amendment which will write a voter identification law into the Ohio constitution that will prevent any future efforts to require voter ID.

At a rally promoting this amendment, the attendees honored  Melowese Richardson who voted five times. She was sentenced to five years in prison for her crime but it was reduced to probation.

The keynote speaker was none other than the Rev. Al Sharpton.

OK, let’s summarize.  Mellowese Richardson voted multiple times, illegally.  Then, there is a rally to prevent efforts to stop voter fraud, and they rally honors Mellowese Richardson.  And, they deny that voter fraud happens.

Voter Fraud Exposed if Florida, DOJ Sues to Keep it Going

Share
Yes, I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it's funny.
Yes, I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

I’ve covered voter fraud before, and that Eric Holder intentionally stopped enforcement of the Motor Voter requirement that states purge the rolls of ineligible or deceased voters.  I speculated why several years ago…

And, in the Motor Voter Law, there is a provision mandating that deceased and otherwise ineligible voters be purged from the rolls.  However, the DOJ has no intention of enforcing it…

For background on what AG Holder is up to (or not up to), take a look at this from Pajamas Media.

Motor Voter struck an important balance — it sought to increase voter registration, as well as ensure voter integrity. Welfare offices and motor vehicle offices became voter registration centers. But the law also required states to conduct list maintenance to ensure ineligible names don’t pollute the voting rolls. Dead people, ineligible felons, and people who moved away must be removed from the rolls by state election officials.

The attorney general was given the power to enforce both provisions of Motor Voter, yet Eric Holder is only interested in enforcing one. This attorney general simply won’t do his job and enforce the list integrity requirements.

The decision of the Holder DOJ to ignore the integrity provisions of Section 8 is deliberate and corrupt. In November 2009, political appointee Julie Fernandes told the entire assembled DOJ Voting Section that the Obama administration would not enforce the list maintenance provisions of Section 8. Section 8 “doesn’t have anything to do with increasing minority turnout,” Fernandes said. “We don’t have any interest in enforcing that part of the law.” End of story.

So, the DOJ is cooperating with people linked to voter registration fraud, when, at the same time, refusing to purge the rolls of the deceased.  I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by that, given that a bunch of dead people voted on the last election.  But, I’m sure that there is no connection, right?

So now, we see even more ineligible people voting in Florida, and the DOJ is right there to make sure that it does not stop…

The investigative piece was aired this week by an NBC affiliate in southwest Florida that actually tracked down and interviewed non U.S. citizens who are registered to vote and have cast ballots in numerous elections. The segment focused on Lee County, which has a population of about 620,000 and Collier County with a population of around 322,000. The reporter spent about two months digging around the voter rolls in the two counties and the discoveries are dumbfounding.

In that short time, more than 100 people registered to vote in those two areas were proven to be ineligible by the reporter. A Cape Coral woman, eligible to vote in elections, was tracked down through jury excusal forms that verify she’s not a U.S. citizen. A Naples woman, who is not a U.S. citizen either, voted six times in 11 years without being detected by authorities. A Jamaican man is also registered to vote though he’s not eligible. The reporter obtained his 2007 voter registration form, which shows the Jamaican man claims to be a U.S. citizen. Problem is, no one bothers checking to see if applicants are being truthful.

Incredibly, election supervisors confirmed on camera that there’s no way for them to verify the citizenship of people who register to vote. The only way to detect fraud is if the county offices that oversee elections receive a tip, they say, and only then can they follow up.  As inconceivable as this may seem, it appears to be true. Election supervisors in counties across the United States have their hands tied when it comes to this sort of voter registration fraud. They neither have the resources nor the authority to take action without knowledge of specific wrongdoing.

In an effort to remedy the situation, Florida Governor Rick Scott launched a program a few years ago to purge ineligible voters from registration rolls. The Department of Justice (DOJ) was quick to sue the state to stop the purging because the agency claims it discriminates against minorities. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has colluded with the DOJ in Florida and the head of the group’s local chapter says purging voter rolls disproportionately affects the state’s most vulnerable groups, namely minorities.

So, voter fraud is PROVEN, once again, and our DOJ is suing to prevent anyone from stopping it.

But there’s no possible pattern there, is there?

Did The RNC Give Up Its Right To Challenge Certain Voter Fraud In 1982?

Share

Asylum Watch is grateful to Adrienne at Adrienne’s Corner for bringing this story carried by Nox and Friends to our attention. This is another of those stories that belongs in the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not category. From Nox and Friends we learn:

Here’s how the whole debacle started: during the 1981 New Jersey gubernatorial election, the DNC and the New Jersey Democratic State Committee (DSC) brought an action against the RNC and the New Jersey Republican State Committee (RSC) in the U.S. District Court in New Jersey accusing them of discrimination against minority voters.

So, what were those dastardly Republicans in New Jersey doing?

The RNC (and RSC) were accused of “voter caging” and other lesser misdeeds. The RNC (and RSC) allegedly created a voter challenge list by mailing sample ballots to individuals in precincts with a high percentage of racial or ethnic minority registered voters and then, when postcards were returned as undeliverable, they included those individuals on a list of voters to challenge at the polls.

In other words, the Republicans in New Jersey were challenging voters who may not reside where they claim to reside. Sounds clever to me; but I’m no expert in voter laws. The Democrats obviously didn’t like any of their solidly Democrat voters being challenged and the case went to court in 1982. Apparently, the RNC didn’t think they were faring well with the judge, so they decided to settle with the DNC without admitting guilt and the signed a consent decree with the DNC, which was accepted by the judge. The Consent Decree that the brainiacs of the RNC signed has no expiration date or sunset provision. Brilliant!

The provisions of the Consent Decree are for the most part benign except for this clause:

(e) refrain from undertaking any ballot security activities in polling places or election districts where the racial or ethnic composition of such districts is a factor in the decision to conduct, or the actual conduct of, such activities there and where a purpose or significant effect of such activities is to deter qualified voters from voting; and the conduct of such activities disproportionately in or directed toward districts that have a substantial proportion of racial or ethnic populations shall be considered relevant evidence of the existence of such a factor and purpose;

Yes, everyone knows that voter fraud only ever happens with white voters, right?

The RNC did try numerous times to have the Consent Decree overturned; but…

The RNC has tried to overturn the original Consent Decree several times, and each time the court has refused to vacate the decree. And each time the Decree is revisited, the Carter appointee judge who signed the original agreement (and has long since retired), comes back just so he can renew the order again.

A very dedicated judge, don’t you think?

Over the years the case takes a number of twists and turn making it even more difficult for the RNC to challenge voter fraud. Once more in 2010 the RNC appealed the case in the 3rd Circuit Court. The judge was less than sympathetic:

The RNC asks that our Court vacate a decree that has as its central purpose preventing the intimidation and suppression of minority voters. When, as here, a party voluntarily enters into a consent decree not once, but twice, and  then  waits  over  a  quarter  of  a  century  before  filing  a motion to vacate or modify  the decree, such action gives us pause. Further, the RNC, with the advice of counsel, twice chose to limit indefinitely its ability to engage in certain activities enumerated in the Decree by entering into a decree with no expiration date.

Furthermore, the District Court has never prevented the RNC from implementing a voter fraud prevention program that the RNC has submitted for preclearance, at least in part, because the RNC has never submitted any voter fraud prevention program for preclearance.

Do we need any more proof that the GOP deserves the title, The Stupid Party?

Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?

Catherine Engelbrecht, of True the Vote, Testifies to Congress About Being Targeted by Government

Share

We’ve covered the activities of Catherine Engelbrecht and True the Vote before. They are an organization that exposed voting “irregularities” in various parts of the country.  Here are some links regarding their investigations…

Here are some details about the targeting of True the Vote, as well as the harassment of Catherine Engelbrecht, from May of last year…

Doug Ross (no relation) has the details…

• Valerie Jarrett: ‘After We Win This Election, It’s Our Turn Payback Time’ « :
Openly declared as “Obama’s Brain”, and the figure whose second story West Wing office has been described by political insiders as the true Oval Office of the Obama White House, Valerie Jarrett is letting it be known that if Barack Obama secures election victory next week, there may be, quite literally, hell to pay for those who opposed him…
…The part that really stuck out to me was when I overheard the rep say that Jarrett told them, “After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.” She was talking directly to about three of them. Sr. staff. And she wasn’t trying to be quiet about it at all. And they were all listening and shaking their heads and smiling while she said it.

I think once we see what Doug Ross has regarding True the Vote, we’ll see that Jarrett’s warning has come to fruition…

Such is the story of the non-partisan voter integrity group True the Vote, founded by business owner Catherine Engelbrecht. For the last three years, Engelbrecht and her business have been systematically harassed and intimidated by the Obama administration.

[In] February [2012], True the Vote received a third request for information from the IRS, which also sent its first questionnaire to King Street Patriots. Catherine says the IRS had “hundreds of questions — hundreds and hundreds of questions.” The IRS requested every Facebook post and Tweet she had ever written. She received questions about her family, whether she’d ever run for political office, and which organizations she had spoken to.

“It’s no great secret that the IRS is considered to be one of the more serious [federal agencies],” Catherine says. “When you get a call from the IRS, you don’t take it lightly. So when you’re asked questions that seem to imply a sense of disapproval, it has a very chilling effect.”

On the same day they received the questions from the IRS, Catherine says, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) launched an unscheduled audit of their machine shop, forcing the Engelbrechts to drop everything planned for that day. Though the Engelbrechts have a Class 7 license, which allows them to make component parts for guns, they do not manufacture firearms. Catherine said that while the ATF had a right to conduct the audit, “it was odd that they did it completely unannounced, and they took five, six hours. . . . It was so extensive. It just felt kind of weird.”

That was in February. In July, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration paid a visit to Engelbrecht Manufacturing while Bryan, Catherine, and their children were out of town. The OSHA inspector talked with the managerial staff and employees, inspecting the premises minutely. But Bryan says the agent found only “little Mickey Mouse stuff, like, ‘You have safety glasses on, but not the right kind; the forklift has a seatbelt, but not the right kind.’” Yet Catherine and Bryan said the OSHA inspector complimented them on their tightly run shop and said she didn’t know why she had been sent to examine it.

Not long after, the tab arrived. OSHA was imposing $25,000 in fines on Engelbrecht Manufacturing. They eventually worked it down to $17,500, and Bryan says they may have tried to contest the fines to drive them even lower, but “we didn’t want to make any more waves, because we don’t know [how much further] OSHA could reach.”

So, it’s pretty clear that True the Vote, as well as Catherine Engelbrecht, was targeted, by not only the IRS, but just about every alphabet agency under the sun.  And, it was a lot more than a “smidgen” of corruption.

Just recently, Catherine Engelbrecht testified before Congress regarding her abuse at the hand of government agencies…

Of course, regressives will lie and say that this didn’t happen.  They’ll say that its all and invention, and there still wasn’t a “smidgen” of corruption anywhere.

Voter Fraud Confirmed? NYC’s Department of Investigations Shows How

Share
I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it's funny.
I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

New York City’s Department of investigations (DOI) conducted their own voter fraud investigation last fall.  They sent investigators to 63 polling places, and tried to test the system.  The system came up lacking.  The Daley Gator has more…

But New York City’s watchdog Department of Investigations has just provided the latest evidence of how easy it is to commit voter fraud that is almost undetectable. DOI undercover agents showed up at 63 polling places last fall and pretended to be voters who should have been turned away by election officials; the agents assumed the names of individuals who had died or moved out of town, or who were sitting in jail. In 61 instances, or 97 percent of the time, the testers were allowed to vote. Those who did vote cast only a write-in vote for a “John Test” so as to not affect the outcome of any contest. DOI published its findings two weeks ago in a searing 70-page report accusing the city’s Board of Elections of incompetence, waste, nepotism, and lax procedures.

The Board of Elections, which has a $750 million annual budget and a work force of 350 people, reacted in classic bureaucratic fashion, which prompted one city paper to deride it as “a 21st-century survivor of Boss Tweed-style politics.” The Board approved a resolution referring the DOI’s investigators for prosecution. It also asked the state’s attorney general to determine whether DOI had violated the civil rights of voters who had moved or are felons, and it sent a letter of complaint to Mayor Bill de Blasio. Normally, I wouldn’t think de Blasio would give the BOE the time of day, but New York’s new mayor has long been a close ally of former leaders of ACORN, the now-disgraced “community organizing” group that saw its employees convicted of voter-registration fraud all over the country during and after the 2008 election.

So when the potential for fraud, and that they system is completely open to it, the system attempts to accuse the investigators of  a crime.  It is classic Accuse the Accusers, and is a time tested cover up technique.

And, given de Blasio’s history, I don’t see this going anywhere.  In fact, I can see him in favor of punishing the investigators for investigating, as well as releasing the results if the investigation.

Voter Suppression in Mexico! Democrats Silent

Share

hypocrite

If we would follow the logic of Democrats, we would have to denounce the voter suppression in Mexico.  You see, the Mexican government is demanding that voters show an appropriate ID in order to cast a vote!  As we know from the Democrats, voter ID laws are inherently racist, and prevents dead people felons Mickey Mouse democratic voters from casting their ballots repeatedlyDa Tech Guy has more…

I call on every “liberal” entity to rise up in support of dead people felons Mickey Mouse democrat voters.  Because, as we all know, asking voters for ID is completely and utterly racist, and is only meant to suppress the dead people felons Mickey Mouse democrat voter turnout.

Because, there couldn’t possibly be any hypocrisy here, right?

Voter Fraud Alert: Chief of Staff for democrat Representative Joe Garcia Being Sent to Prison for Voter Fraud, Which Never Happens

Share
I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it's funny.
I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

As well all have been told by our would be regressive overlords, voter fraud doesn’t happen.  It’s a non-factor, false issue, and a made-up boogey man invented solely in the dark minds of “racist” Tea Party Nazis.  And, when it is exposed, and someone goes to prison for it, it is even more false and racist!  For example, the chief of staff for democrat representative Joe Garcia is going to prison for voter fraud, which most definitely does not happen.

Move right along, nothing to see here…

Via The Hill:

A former chief of staff to Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) is heading to jail for his role in organizing an online absentee ballot-request scheme in the 2012 elections.

Jeffrey Garcia, 41, who isn’t related to the congressman, will spend about three months in jail as part of a plea deal reached with the Miami-Dade state attorney’s office, the Miami Herald newspaper reported Sunday.

The deal was finalized Monday when Jeffrey Garcia pleaded guilty to requesting absentee ballots on behalf of voters, which is a felony.

“I should not have done it,” Jeffrey Garcia said in court, according to the Herald. “I’m sorry, and I accept responsibility.”

Prosecutors found Jeffrey Garcia had requested hundreds of ballots without voters’ permission, the Herald said. None of them, however, were mailed, forged or cast.

Don’t you feel better now, that the fraud doesn’t happen?

Things that You Need an ID to do, But Voter ID is Racist!

Share

It seems that people get through life just fine with needing an ID to access products of government services.  However, to vote?  Why sir, that’s racist!

The Washington Examiner compiles 24 things that you must have an ID to purchase, I don’t hear much from liberals about how any of these things are racist. When it comes to protecting the integrity of what keeps America from turning into a dictatorship, showing an ID is definitely racist.

Mind Boggling.

Below are just some of the examples of things you need to prove your identity for:

1. Alcohol

2. Cigarettes

3. Opening a bank account

4. Apply for food stamps

5. Apply for welfare

6. Apply for Medicaid/Social Security

7. Apply for unemployment or a job

8. Rent/buy a house, apply for a mortgage

9. Drive/buy/rent a car

10. Get on an airplane

11. Get married

12. Purchase a gun

13. Adopt a pet

Ohio Poll Worker Sentenced for Five Years for Voter Fraud, That Never Happens

I know the pic is photoshopped, I think it’s funny.

That’s right folks, voter fraud never, ever happens.  Just ask any regressive, and they’ll tell you that.  And, since it never, ever, never happens, it’s really a shock that someone was found guilty of it.  We covered the story of the poll worker in Ohio.  She comottied the crime that never happens, and is now going to prison for it.

Good thing voter fraud never happens…
