Wendy Davis, often referred to as “abortion Barbie,” due to her great love of killing babies, won the democratic primary in Texas.  However, there are some ominous undercurrents…

LAREDO, TEXAS–Texas Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Wendy Davis woke to some unsettling numbers along the Texas/Mexico border today. Of the 14 counties along the Rio Grande, Davis lost seven—including heavily Hispanic Webb and Hidalgo Counties. Davis Challenger Reynaldo “Ray” Madrigal’s prediction may have come true to an extent—Wendy has a pro-life Catholic problem and may not hold the support of motivated Latino voters by default.

Based on unofficial vote tallies by county, Davis lost to Madrigal by substantial gaps in Webb, Zapata, Starr and Hidalgo Counties while managing to fall flat in three lesser populated jurisdictions along the western portion of the border.

If you recall, Wendy Davis waited until her then husband paid off her education before leaving him, and even had democratic organizations breaking election laws to assist her, but she was unable to make inroads among pro-life democrats, who apparently do not share Davis’s love for killing babies.  How much this will translate into doom in the general election is unknown, as we are quite certain that  Wendy Davis will own the dead vote, as well as the multiple voters.

What happens when a Bolivian kickboxer meets a US Marine?  It looks something like this…

I’d say the Marine made quick work of his opponent.

UPDATE: A Twitter follower informed me that this was from a movie.  And, it was.  The movie was Never Back Down.  The video above was taken by someone as the scene was being filmed- a “behind the scenes” clip.  Here is the fight scene, as it appeared in the finished film…

Since it wasn’t a serious post, I didn’t really dig into it to see it’s source.  You win some, you lose some.  Still pretty cool though!

And the war on Christianity continues…

A track team was disqualified when, after crossing the finish line, one member pointed upward, as to thank God.    Breitbart has more…

The Columbus High School Mighty Cardinals had won the 4×100-meter relay–by seven yards, no less–and had a shot at the state championship. That was until Junior sprinter Derrick Hayes pointed to the sky.  Hayes’s father, K.C., said that his son made a gesture of thanks to God, but raising a hand to the sky is considered excessive celebration according to the state scholastic rules. And with that, the team was disqualified.

There is also video…

They are saying that this was a result of rules against excessive celebrations. However, I wonder if it would have happened if the gesture had nothing to do with God? What if a team was Muslim, or wiccan? Would they have been disqualified?

Leftist Claims “Democracy Died Tonight,” Because They Lost a Democratic Vote

Share

As we all know, our lefty opponents love to chant, “this is what democracy looks like.”  Of course, what that really means is preventing votes by fleeing, beating up opponents, vandalizing property, intimidating businesses, and the like.  Then, any vote that they actually lose is NOT democracy.   Take a listen to the following, via Brietbart…

So, this guy is quoting some of the new talking points. Let’s assume that his $30,000,000 figure is correct for pro-Walker spending. Then, let’s take a look at the fact that the unions have thrown $60,000,000 into Wisconsin-a rather convenient omission, if you ask me.

So, let’s review the liberal definition of “democracy.”

1. “democracy” means only they can win. Any other result? It’s someone else’s fault.

2. Only they represent the “people,” and “democracy” means that if the people disagree, then they people should be beaten into submission, and forced into compliance.

3. Everyone should be unionized, whether they want it or not, because “democracy” equals force.

4. “democracy” means that votes that they will lose should not occur.

5. “democracy” means that everyone should vote, including the dead-repeatedly.

6. “democracy” means that people should be intimidated into voting the “correct” way, or coerced into supporting the “correct” causes.

And, if you agree with this post, you are an evil person who should be visited by some union thugs to make your mind right. Because, my friends, that is what “democracy” looks like!

Thanks a Ton: I’ve Been Blogging for Three Years!

Share

Actually, the “blogaversary” was on Saturday.  Three years ago then, Posted The Piggly Wiggly and the Porkulus, and the Conservative Hideout was drug, kicking and screaming, into the world.

What do I say?  I have a ton of people to thank, like Snarky Basterd, who inspired me to start blogging in the first place.  Then, there have been all the contributors, like Don, the late Ken Minor, AG, Matthew, Marie, Jackie,  Jason, A Conservative Teacher, Jim, John, Manhattan Infidel, and RHM.

That’s just for starters:

Pam Geller:  Who took the time to link me, and actually responded to my emails when I had only been blogging for a few weeks.

Nuke Gingrich:  For the same reason.  Nuke was a early linker and commenter.

Dr. Bill, of the ARRA News Service, and Blogs for Borders:  For supporting us early on.

The Liberty Pen:  Who linked early and often.

Steamboat McGoo:  Who made me laugh my posterior off, and was a another early supporter.

Solyent Green:  For obvious reasons.  (Birthday spassfabrik is always a consideration)

The Classic Liberal:  Another early supporter, and who has helped me with more coding issues than you can shake a stick at.

Steve at Motor City Times:  Yet another early supporter, and a fellow of the Resistance.

The Amusing Bunni:  Proof that kitteh’s and politics go together.

Wyblog:  The man is a great serving of insight, with a healthy side of sarcasm.

The ‘Bot:  Tweets and Facebook links almost everything here.  He is the ultimate in artificial blogging intelligence.

Steve Dennis:  Who has commented consistently at the CH even when I haven’t been able to get to his place.

Innominatus:  For the humor and support.

Larry Jackson at Political Realities:  For being there early on, and commenting so much over the years.

The Other McCain:  Who has been an inspiration and guide, and has linked me far more than I have been worthy.

King Shamus:  For all of the kind words, which have always served as encouragement.

Doug at the Daley Gator:  For links and great source material.

Angel:  Who always drops and encouraging comment, and has a unique style of blogging all of her own.

To be Right: For listing me on his list of the best Conservative bloggers.

Zilla: For linking, and giving me an award.

Hans, at Western Front America:  For publishing my stuff, and posting an article of mine at the Goracle’s mothership, Current TV.  There was much debating liberals on that day.  Ironically, the blog was called Conservative Hideout for a reason.  I planned on blogging anonymously.  But, I never told Hans that, so he used my name at his place.  Hence, the Hideout stopped being a hideout at all.

I know I’ve forgotten people, and I apologize for that.  However, I did want to point out some of the people that have contributed to the success that we’ve had here.  And I hope that they will continue to help make the CH 2.0 a success.

Here’s to another three!
