I initially that I would write some grand tribute to the protests, but after consideration, I think it’s better if the protesters, as well as their critics, spoke for themselves.
Did CNN learn from their mistakes?

I’ve been looking for some independent confirmation of the 9-12 protest attendance. I think I may have found it from the Daily Mail in the UK.
Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as “Obamacare makes me sick” as they protested the president’s health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending. The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. People were chanting “enough, enough” and “We the People.” Others yelled “You lie, you lie!” and “Pelosi has to go,” referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
I have to stress that this is one report. I’m sure that some people will overshoot the numbers, and the MSM will likely under-emphasize it. As more reports come in, I’ll try to clarify. Here are some images from the article. I saved them to Photobucket so I could re-size them.

Also, refer to the time-lapse video above. No matter the total, it exceeded expectations, and the MSM will under report it.
As usual, they are misrepresenting it a well, but that’s not really a surprise. They’re just putting more nails in their (ratings) coffins.

Great post. Especially, thanks for adding Mason Weaver’s speech to the pictures and other videos making it into various posts. And the time elapsed video of the crowd gathering the street to march to the Capitol mall was COOL! Will Update one of my posts and add the video with a link back to the Conservative Hideout.
One of the best accounts I’ve seen—I have also been trying to get a handle on the numbers—because they are important. That is proven by the MSM efforts to play down the attendence.
@ Bill, Thanks, It took a while to collect all of the videos. I saw some of the CNN stuff as it happened, but I had to wait for someone to put it on YouTube. Atlas Shrugs, Michelle Malkin, and Redstate deserve most of the credit. I just followed where they led.
@ Ron, that’s my assessment as well. The numbers are importation. That’s why the lib bloggers have been saying the photos are faked. The more people that were there, the more will take this movement seriously. There have been some liberals trying to put out false information in the hopes we follow it. That’s what I wanted until today to post it.
Wow…apparently the CNN folks didn’t understand when they read Rules for Radicals that they were supposed to have microphones that didn’t pick up backroung noise.
@ Dr. Dave, yeah they fail at that. If they were really paying attention to their lessons, they would have known that they should have put their own people in klan robes behind the reporter.
A great day, an absolutely grand day for America. The beginning of the end of big government and Washington corruption.
One of my favorite things that happened during the protest was the chanting of “Yes we can… vote you out!” Conservatism is definitely on the rise.
