Ken, this is a lot of the problem. So many people don't know and don't CARE what's going on. This is the reason why statists have been able to stay in office and get their vomitous anti-life, anti-liberty agenda pushed.

Speaking of New Jersey, Corzine actually grew up 5 miles from where I live. He graduated from the High School my teens attend. Then, he went to Chicago...

Thanks for the comments and encouragement. In my everyday world I see an undercurrent of conservativism as strong as any Sunami the world has yet seen. It is my hope and expectation that on election day 2010 a cleansing of Congress will take place. I believe the first signs of that storm are appearing in New York, New Jersey and Virginia. Out with the bad and in with the good. It is my hope.

Yeah, it's hard sometimes. I try to let footage and quotes do the talking for me. I remember visiting my family early in October. I got them to watch Hannity when he was breaking the Kevin Jennings story. When they saw what he actually said, their jaws dropped! These are folks that have been generally socially conservative, but economically more liberal. They had no idea what the czars were all about.

I occasionally show my videos of the POTUS extolling single payer to my friends. They're still libs, but they are questioning. The realization that they're being lied to seems to take the wind out of their sails.

I think that the frustration is understandable, but we have to understand that there are people out there that make their political judgments based on soundbites and will never really delve into issues and policy. We are on one side of an ideological battle with the left. They are smaller, but still more vocal and organized. That is changing. Between us is the middle. The middle will be swayed either way, and don't tend to make stands on many issues. It is what it is. We have to remember that only a small fraction of the population took part in our original revolution. This new revolution will be peaceful (excepting the violence of the left), and it doesn't require the whole of the people to participate-just patriots.

Ken, you are prescient. Just tonight on Hannity he had a focus group and this one woman who kept extolling the virtues of socialism, (without calling it that, of course) actually said of John Corzine that he may raise taxes, but at least you knew what you were getting. Another candidate might be worse...

*dies*

I mean how much farther does one have to have their head in the sand?

On a related note, I feel your pain. My sister is a liberal - she is the same age as Clinton and so she kept her hippy liberal ideals. When I asked her what she thought about Obama, she said he was probably the best President ever elected...

When I asked her about his astronomical spending, she said it was all for things we need, so it is okay.

Then she said that Obama would be a better President than Carter was because poor Carter never got a chance to be a great President.

At that point, I gave up and decided to do something more productive. I went outside and hit my head against a brick wall about 10 times. It hurt just as much, but was over with faster.
