@ Liberty Pen, I actually posted an idea about that as a comment a few months ago. Here’s the quick version…

“Take all the libs, anarchists, environazis, and the like, and have them live the way they want the rest of us to-in “sustainable villages.” They can live on subsistence agriculture, reside in efficient huts, and have little to no modern conveniences. They can have government health care, government housing, government transportation, government education, government jobs, and the best that government has to offer.

Little will they know that we have cameras everywhere, and will be televising their lives-for our own amusement. You see, we’ll still have unlimited energy, private health care, locally controlled education, free markets, SUV’s, gas grills, energy sucking 60″ plasma TVs, and all of the standards of modern life. We’ll sit back, light a quality cigar, crack a beer, and lol at their fail.”

I think everyone wins, they get to fulfill their wish of “OMG SAVE TEH WORLD,” and we’ll get to live in reality…and laugh our posteriors off at their expense. Kind of like now, just more ironic!

@ Karen, That’s the idea. The cool thing is that they can read this post, but their “unreality bubble” will prevent them from foreseeing their impending fail.

Would it be possible to take some of the stimulus money and pay for all of the leftist, socialistic, progressive liberals to move to the EU where they can live happily ever after?

Yes. It’s clearly an advantage to us if the Democrats move further left. People are already getting a taste of the left, and they don’t like it. Alienating their middle, which is larger, as a group, leaves them with their base, which is small. When Conservatives attack RINOs, the opposite is true. We’re a bigger segment of the Republican party.

You are 100% correct on people getting a real choice. The left will make it for us. We just have to stay on message, then actually stick to that message once the smoke has cleared.

Like that last line in your post about the extreme wing attacking the moderates—says a lot! MoveOn is well funded and could cause trouble for moderates in the party, but that is nothing compared to what they will face from voters in their districts should they vote for this thing. Actually moderates in both parties are between a rock and a hard place with little wiggle room. Perhaps this is what is needed so everyone will know where they stand and the voters will have clear choices in 2010.
