Some people will never see the truth, no matter what happens. We have to write them off. It's the middle (the moderates and independents) that are starting to wake up. In reality, our hope lies with them. Many of them voted for Obama and the other Democrats, but that isn't so likely now. According to the lasts stats I saw, 40% of Americans self identify as Conservatives, with only 20% as Liberals. If we can sway even 20% of the middle, we win easily.

Matt-Thanks! It is hard not to gloat, but like you, I don't want anyone to go through rough times. I have talked with some people who are now reconsidering and tell me they now regret voting for Obama and I say "Didn't you look at his voting record or any other political background before casting your ballot?" All have said no. But the majority still stick with him.

Trestin- It really seems that way. I truly hope it never hits "rock bottom" though. It would be nice if people could see the ugly truth without the consequences, but that is probably just wishful thinking on my part.

I think you hit on something very important. Many people stick with their party like a football team. It is the only logical explanation for still supporting Obama. It can not be because of his results. Even if you are a far left liberal, you have to be disappointed with his results. Did he not promise to end the wars? I think we may have to hit rock bottem before his party turns on him.

The sarcastic part of me wants to gloat and say, “how ya likin’ that change?” However, I don’t want to see anyone suffering in this economy. I do, however, hope that this causes people to reconsider. Particularly the moderate Democrats and independents. Great post, at both sites. You have a scary (good) level of insight on these issues.

Note: I cross posted this comment at Unconstrained Truth!
