The prescience of Reagan…

He may no longer be with us on this world, but Ronald Wilson Reagan knew where he stood and what to stand for. It is amazing to me how much his words have meaning in today’s turbulent political environment. In 1986, Reagan was campaigning, not for himself, but for the mid-term elections. His last stop on that last campaign of his? Nevada. His opponent? Harry Reid. Reagan nailed Reid to the wall with his description of Reid, who in later years would describe himself as a moderate. That is until Barack Obama sat in the Oval Office. At that point, Harry’s true colors really began to show.

Check out this video of Reagan at that last campaign stop.

This video is being utilized very cleverly by Danny Tarkanian who is challenging Reid for his Senate seat.

About the Author

Don Ronald Reagan said, "You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."
