I caught this on the Warroom website. Kindly give it a listen.
For me, this is reminiscent to some of the factors in my life that allowed me to overcome my indoctrination. As a child, the fairness doctrine was in force, so the MSM could cheer-lead for the left, but the right was not well represented in the media. However, there were always interesting callers to local radio talk shows. Elderly men and women with thick accents would call and give warnings about things they saw in this country that reminded them of their former homelands. Whether it was Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, or the former Soviet Bloc, their warnings against big government were always something that stuck out for me.
We should heed them.

Exactly, Matt. Socialism crushes the human spirit, just as the woman said.
And the other thing (that the guy said) is that none of these idiots preaching socialism have never lived through it. They don’t even understand what it is they are advocating.
Quinn and Rose have a great show. I listened regularly for years when I lived in SW PA.

To piggyback off of Karen’s comments, these naive professors preaching this, Lenin referred to the likes of them as “useful idiots.” Useful idiots were those people that sympathized with the communist but lived in Western democracies. Lenin and the communist really had no use for them, but they did serve a purpose. So when you see people organizing movements that promote statist views to counter the tea party movement, think of useful idiots. When professors bash capitalism while elevating socialism above it, think of useful idiots. When you see progressives wanting to redistribute wealth or create laws that take away our liberties, think useful idiots. They are serving a purpose, but are absolute idiots.
The thing that the useful idiots never understood is that once the revolution was over, they ceased being useful. They were among the first to the wall the revolution came.

It is amusing that all the devotees of socialism are super filthy rich and like all rich people will find ways to avoid the policies they want enacted.
True. The regulations, taxes, and dictates are for “us people,” not them.
I like when the guy from Hungary said, “They’re politicians, you can’t trust them, that’s why we are supposed to have a small government”. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Those folks get it like no other. They lived with totalitarianism.
